Hello and Welcome to another fabulous Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY. Welcome if you have just arrived from Monique. To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit, and we love to CASE from our Stampin' Up! catalogues which are full of amazing inspiration. This week we are CASING our Favourite Project in the new Catalogue!! HARDEST CHALLENGE EVER!!! I love love love so much in this new catalogue and I did lots of creating and changing my mind and making decisions, so in the end I decided my favourite is the Boho Indigo Suite projects. Annual Catalogue 2020-2021 page 9 all images © Stampin' Up! ® I've been inspired by the gorgeous vanilla card on the Bottom Right, and the lovely vase card on the bottom left - these were the starting point for a few cards!! The card on the left inspired this lovely card featuring the gorgeous papers. I've made it into a card with a central panel featuring the lovely vase!! After completing this card, I then wanted to show off more of the paper, so I created another card in an extended z fold which features the paper to perfection!! The embellishment on this card really relies on the stunning dies that coordinate with the stamp set. I love the way this card folds out to really show off!! And then, at our recent team meeting I was totally inspired by Wanda who showed us a 'wiper' card with a super cute little pop-up feature!! This card features a bunch of the stunning die cuts that come with the Boho Indigo suite, as well as the lovely textured paper. The only stamping on this card is the greeting which is also stamped onto one of the die cuts included in the suite. When you push the card in the pop-up disappears!! And then when you pull it out the cute little 'wiper' feature pops up!! There will be a great video on YouTube to show you how to do this!! I hope you've been inspired too! This Boho Suite is just amazing and so versatile, fun and totally gorgeous!! I wonder what the rest of the crew found to be their favourites this week??? Keep hopping all the way around to see them all. Up next is the wonderful Rebecca who always inspires!! You can join in the fun too with us this week and share your favourite project inspiration onto our Facebook challenge page!! Look how much to get in this kit!! It includes the stamp set, coordinating dies, papers, ribbons, loads of diecuts and some super cute little felt flowers. When you purchase this kit, you will also qualify for a bonus voucher you can use next month!! Check out the details here!! Please head over to my online store if you wish to see these products in more detail - and you can place your order anytime (if you're in Australia) while you're there (even if you're in your pyjamas!!) Children’s Theater Company (CTC) in Minneapolis is a gem – we are so lucky to have such a stellar children’s theater in our own backyard! Last night, my 8-year-old daughter and I went to see the opening of Cinderella. I must confess it isn’t our favorite fairy tale so we were excited to go, but didn’t have too many expectations heading into the experience. That said…this production knocked our socks off! CTC’s Cinderella takes a contemporary twist on a tired tale and it was sheer delight. From exquisite costumes to gorgeous set design, unexpectedly fun music selections, and wildly wonderful casting that challenges any preconceived notions of the traditionally-portrayed characters, this show is a must-see for all ages. There is something in it for everyone! We laughed so hard our bellies hurt. We could feel the deep pain of Cinderella not being valued. We had perpetual hope for her to find her place in life beyond the cinders of the fireplace. And then there were moments of awe where you felt the magic surround you. The message was clear: no matter who you are, we are all equal and should be valued. It was HOW this message was delivered that made it […]

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY. To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues. This week, we are sharing our inspiration coming from a Blending Brushes project!! There are a few pages with lots of different and great ideas!! 2022 - 2023 Annual Catalogue pp38 all images © Stampin' Up! I was inspired by the use of the die along with the blending brush for some colour in specific shapes! For my card featuring the lovely Nature's Prints bundle, I die cut a couple of the leaf shapes from the Natural Prints dies, and then used them as masks for my sponging with a blending brush. I stamped a bunch of the foliage images from the Natures Prints stamp set randomly around the card with the greeting stamped in the centre, using Pear Pizzazz, Evening Evergreen and Garden Green. I then put the die cut mask over the stamped image and sponged the same colour over the top of the stamping to create a lovely shadow of colour. The inside of the card features the same detail while leaving a space to write a greeting!! My final touch was a couple of die cut edges using the lovely Delicate Edges dies in Shaded Spruce cardstock, as well as a couple of Faux Sea Glass Shapes. I do love green - so I love how this turned out!! Up next is the marvellous Michelle - check out her project!! Please join in the fun with us and share your project onto our Facebook page here! You can create this card above in my Masking Class at the end of the month!! Contact me for details! This weekend we journeyed into the heart of Saguaro National Park in the Arizonan desert, to the incredible Posada created by our talented friends Sara & Rich of the Joshua Tree House. We’ve been following Sara & Rich’s journey for years now, so as soon as we found out they were transforming an abandoned Inn, w
Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page. This week we are taking inspiration from the sketch of the middle card on page 68 of the Annual Catalogue. Here is that sketch broken down to its main elements to make it easer to CASE. You can add whatever you like to this basic sketch whether that be DSP, die cuts or embellishments. I decided the Frames & Flowers Specialty DSP would be perfect for this card, I started by making a template for the card shapes from vellum so that I could decide the best way to cut the DSP. As it turned out, for me that meant flipping the sketch, but I think it looks great this way around, what do you think? There was minimal stamping for this card, just the sentiment from Simply Said stamped directly onto one of the DSP elements from the pack. I raised this on Dimensionals to allow it to stand out from the card a little better. I covered the join between the two DSP patterns with ribbon from the Petal Pink & White Diagonal Trim Combo Pack. I love how this just gives a subtle element to the card. You can see how I have added a strip of DSP and one of the leaf elements to the inside of the card. I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use the sketch to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page. Time to hop on over and see what Andrea has created this week. Happy Stamping Monique
Hi! It's time once again for the new CASEing The Catty Sunday Challenge Blog Hop, which marks the start of our new challenge. This week we are asking you to CASE your favourite project from the 2020-21 Annual Catalogue. That's a whopping 192 pages (plus covers) of visual artistry to select from! I ended up choosing this cute Playful Pets card from page 41. I have so many favourites from the catalogue, so I ended up choosing this one with the idea that I could step it up. The card in the catalogue has a sponged background for the pets. To step it up I chose to use a die cut grass border in two layers. I used my retired Wiggly Bugs Dies, but the Special Day Dies also have a grass border. The pets were fussy cut from the Playful Pets DSP, as I don't own the stamp set. It's very subtle, but I used a piece of Window Sheet, cut with a retired cloud die, to create a sponged cloudy sky background for the pets. The banner for the sentiment was cropped using my new Banners Pick a Punch punch. It's definitely a handy punch to own! I fussy cut another two pets for the inside of my card. These two look like they have just got back from a walk, not like the more energetic pets on the front of the card! Our challenge is run through our Facebook Group, so if you'd like to play along you need to join the group so that you can post your card there. It's as easy as that! I think the hard part this week will be choosing which card to CASE. Next you're off to visit Michelle's blog. She's made a pair of super adorable cards using some new August-December Mini Catalogue products. Bye for now, Tina

Hi! Welcome to the Sunday evening CASEing The Catty Blog Hop. The blog before mine was the lovely Monique's. Did you start there, here or somewhere else? Doesn't matter - just keep hopping until you get back to where you started. Tonight we are CASEing the Sale-A-Bration catalogues - that's right, there are two catalogues now! Did you know that the second release products are now available to customers? They are gorgeous! Mine did not arrive in time for tonight's card, so I have CASEd a colour combo from the new SAB brochure. The colours in this card really caught my eye - it's a masculine combo that is still quite light and fresh. I saw Balmy Blue, Night Of Navy, Smoky Slate, So Saffron, Whisper White and Silver Foil. To make my card I simply took strips of the four main colours and trimmed them to the same width as the card base. I used scraps of card, so none of them are the same height as any of the others. I like the random look - do you? I used some Silver Foil card for the sentiment. It adds a fun touch to the card, I think. The rest of the sentiment was from the new Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set. I simply trimmed the two words I wanted after I'd stamped the whole sentiment. For the inside I used the same cardstock to create the stripes, they are just half the height of the ones I used on the front. Do you decorate the insides of your cards? To me they don't look finished until I do! That's it for me tonight, you can join in the fun over at the Facebook group. No need for anything fancy, just join the group and start uploading your cards for each challenge. For now, though, you're off to the lovely Shannon's blog, where she's got some wonderful SAB inspiration for you. Bye for now, Tina

Hello lovelies! Really quick post this week as I am getting ready for a Stampin' Day Retreat and I didn't want to miss out this week (can you believe I had my project done last week but just ran out of time to photograph, edit and write the post, so frustrating! I need more hours in the day, "Who doesn't!", I hear echoing back!!). This week we are CASEing our favourite Big Shot project from the Holiday Catty. I knew straight away what I wanted to do, Christmas Quilt! It was the product that when I first laid eyes on the new catty, I thought " I HAVE TO HAVE THAT!" (yep capital letters were in my head!). I CASEd the colour combo from the catty too, I love that Old Olive & Basic Black DSP and in this project I teamed those colours with the new Champagne Foil. I also used the new Crochet Trim, it's gorgeous! To get the three different colours in the quilt you need to run the dies through the Big Shot three times, so I thought "waste not, want not" and decided to use up the coloured off cuts. And finally here is the third, I love the fact that I didn't waste all those little bits and got three cards made. I also love that even though it is a Christmas stamp set, it is versatile enough to be used for other occasions, same goes with the colour combo! All three cards got the same insert, quite simple, just the top & bottom embossed with the Quilted Embossing Folder (not sure if that is what it is a called but no time to look it up!). I can't decided which way I prefer it, debossed or embossed, I really like both effects. Anyway, time to fly! Please join in on the fun and show us your CASE on our Facebook page, just click below .... Also, don't forget to hop right around our blog hop and see what all the other amazingly talented ladies have produced for your viewing pleasure this week, just click below to see what Judy has in store for you!
