Crocosmia vermenigvuldigt zich door middel van wortelknollen en dat gaat vanzelf. Plant ze in een goed doorlatende grond op een diepte van ca tien centimeter op een plaats waar ze vooral morgenzon krijgen.Crocosmia is volkomen winterhard, maar op vochtige gronden is het beter de knollen in het najaar te rooien en gedurende de winter op een koele en droge plaats te bewaren. Op droge grond kunnen ze in de winter in de grond blijven.Crocosmia 'Lucifer' bloeit rood en wordt 125 cm hoog. De bloeitijd is van juli tot in september. De C2 potmaat heeft een doorsnede van 17 centimeter. Doordat de plant een seizoen langer heeft kunnen groeien dan de P9 maat, (pot van 9x9 cm), bij de kweker krijgt u een mooie plant die goed geworteld is en goed zal aanslaan in uw tuin.
