As you might've realized from our publications on the Facebook group 'What in the $20 wish tattoo machine is this?' or the 'That's It, I'm Inkshaming' group, sadly, subpar tattoos are pretty common. Which makes the good ones even more admirable.
Morceaux choisis.
UK-based artist Sew Beautiful creates breathtaking landscapes using only needle, thread, and occasionally some cotton-like balls of wool to make her artwork jump out of the hoop. Her vibrant and colorful embroidered sceneries look like paintings although no paint was used in the process. She doesn‘t have to look far for inspiration as living in the picturesque countryside results in the most incredible designs.
This step by step tutorial shows how to draw a lion's face and head going from a basic shape sketch to a finished line drawing.
This tissue paper Rose tutorial is not for a beginner, although I tried my best to simplify the method, and with free templates as usual. Because how to make a paper rose seems to be the most difficult challenge, all the time.
The inspiration to create this image was based on the freedom we have in Christ and the need we have to be constantly reminded of that fact. Christ set those who have believed in Him free from the power of sin "once and for all" (1 Peter 3:18). So often we lose sight of that reality and are tempted to burden ourselves with earning back his favor. His grace is sufficient (2 Cor. 12:9) and is what truly makes us free. Notice the chains on the shackles of the arms of the man in the image. If you count the chain links, it is the 7th one that is broken to set him free. The imagery here is that 7 is the perfect number according to scripture and is also known as the "Christ number." The outside of the prison wall represents heaven and the inside of the wall represents this world. The light shining in through the window represents the glory of God and his radiance. It is my hope that those who have placed their faith in Christ are constantly reminded of the freedom we have today and for eternity.
