Hello, all you paper crafters out there! I hope you have been having a wonderful day so far! I am so excited because today is the first day that I post as a member of Joy's Life's Design Team! Yay! Joy is such a nice and generous person and I am honored to be part of this great team! This group of ladies is super talented so I hope you'll stick with us in the coming months as we get creative with Joy's great products! This week we were given the opportunity to create whatever we chose to. If this your first time visiting my blog, you'll see that I like to craft in vibrant colors. For this weeks project, I came up with a super card set using Joy's Lots Of Pun stamp set. If you don't already have it, you can buy it HERE! I used Cricut's Create A Critter for this project and paper from Pebbles Inc's Hip Hip Hooray! line. I welded a flower on my Cricut Gypsy for the base of each of these cards. They measure about 4.5" I used my circle Nestibilites to cut the frames and a scallop punch for the half circles. A Souffle pen was used for the hand drawn stitching. What I love about clear stamps is that you can curve them if you want to As you can see, this is a great stamp set. It comes with 21 puns and 2 images. These super cute images go well with the Lots Of Pun stamp set I hope you enjoy the projects for today. Thanks for stopping by! I read and appreciate every comment!

Well I've been "sitting" on these tags for what feels like a long time (6 months) but I can finally show them to you. I've had to keep them secret because they were published in Cricut Magazine (June/July) issue. Here's the cover The category these tags were submitted for is called Everyday Life and I thought the sentiments Dare To Dream from PSA Essentials were perfect for this. Here are all the tags (even though only one was published). Stop by the PSA Essentials Stamp Camp blog to get your mojo going. Materials I used the Create a Critter cartridge to make these tags. Here is a card that I made a couple of days ago. I had a blast with the Loopy Loo Polka background stamp from Market Street Stamps. I'm certain I will use this one A LOT! The cute little banner on the side is something that my design team sister Katie does a lot. I really like the look. Thanks Katie. I am submitting this card for the Lets Face It Friday challenge. I used the bumble bee off of the Create A Critter Cricut Cartridge, Stampin' Up paper, and a stamp to craft this handmade Belated Birthday Card.
Paper flowers of all kinds are so popular in the crafting world. They can be made from tissue paper, book pages, or card stock. When I first started making cards, the only way to make all of the beautiful blooms was to trace patterns and cut them by hand. With the introduction of cutting machines...Read More
With all the snow that is falling outside it was nice to have challenges to work on. After going to church I didn't want to go out again until the roads are cleared. This card was too much fun to make. The Create a Critter cart is fast becoming one of my favourites. Today I cut out a dozen horses, dogs and cows to have fun with. Over at More that Favors the challenge this week is a Farm Theme. So I started thinking about how I could display my farm yard. I haven't made a stair step card without a side before but the barn needed more room. I scored the paper at 1", 2", 2", 4 1/4 & 6 1/4". The red part of the barn is embossed and all the pieces are inked on the edges. All the brown papers are so old I don't know the manufacturer. I have been really making a dent in my stash lately which is a very good thing. Paula and her DT run two challenges so check them out. Scrappy Moms - use Create a Critter. Make sure to check out the stamps she sells. They go great with lots of the cartridges. Fanatabulous Cricut - Emboss It. There is a post everyday to this blog that you should check out. Check out all the entries into the challenges and you will find some amazingly talented people with great blogs. My next challenge entry is going to be Spring themed but it is going to take a lot of imagination to forget all this snow. My husband is in bed with a sore back and I am wondering if we will get out to work tomorrow. Happy Cricut Crafting Colleen

Today's card is quick and simple. I cut her out on my Gypsy at 3.9 inches, so it would fit in an A2 envelope. I made it for my daughter, who wanted me to cut her the cow on Create a Critter. We all love that cartridge :) The paper is a mix of Walmart stuff and StampinUp. I used Lots of Pun stamp by Joy's Life, Memento Ink, stickles to bling up her horns and the pink bow, StampinUp ribbon. Challenges I am submitting this for: Made by Momo - black, white and on other color - I chose pink Paper Playtime - at the farm Pollycraft Monday - nature Halifax is currently melting in a heat wave, and Hurricane Earl is following quick behind - we are going to be battoning down the hatches. Hope everyone in his path stays safe this week :) A la prochaine...
Happy Thursday! Are you looking forward to the 4th of July? I am planning our traditional BBQ/pool party with the family and friends. We've started watching the musical Hamilton together on the 4th for the last few years, which has been a really fun addition. I know I'll be taking some photos, so I made a quick layout ahead of time mainly using images from the Artbooking collection, with the addition of a title from Create A Critter. I hope you all get to enjoy some festivities over the 3 day weekend! Cricut: Artbooking-overlays, photo frames, rockets Create A Critter-title
Hello! It's Throwback Thursday at MyCreativeTime...today we are picking an old card to "Do Over". I made the above card back in 2012, and while it's not entirely hideous, I don't like it. LOL ;) Here is my "Do Over" version... Ahh. That's much better. ;) I used the XL Label Die from MyCreativeTime to make the shaker window. I used the same sweet ladybug from the Create A Critter Cricut Cartridge, but I gave her a different face. I used the Kawaii Face Assortment from PeachyKeenStamps. The greeting is from the My Favorite Sayings set from MyCreativeTime. Pop over to MyCreativeTime to see more creations! ♥ Nikki ♥ p.s. If you look closely at the heart on the tummy...you can see how much better the Explore cuts than the Expression. :)
