Do you struggle with classroom management? Here are four strategies that you can add to your toolkit that will make it just a little bit more effective.
Silent Response Cards can be used for ANY SUBJECT at ANY GRADE LEVEL! These nonverbal response cards get all students engaged and eliminate frustration from students waiting to be called on...they all participate! These cards are perfect for warm-up activities, subject matter review, transition times or ice-breaker activities. Silent Response Cards can also be used as a quick pre-assessment of upcoming concepts, or post-assessment tool for concepts just learned. Silent Response Cards also help improve students’ oral comprehension skills as they have to listen to the teacher’s question and then formulate a response. These cards are called “Silent Response Cards” because students do not need to talk while participating in this activity. SEE THE PREVIEW FILE FOR A CLOSER LOOK! Included in this file: -Detailed directions with photos of how to prepare and assemble these cards (great parent volunteer job) -“How to Use Silent Response Cards” with photos and examples of teacher questions. -Four different template options for each set of 28 cards. Each Response Card page has 4 cards printed per page to save paper, including a blank card template for you to write in your own response. You can choose some or all of the Silent Response Cards you want to use to make the perfect set for your students. I highly recommend laminating your Silent Response Cards (my set has lasted me eight years of teaching…and still going strong!). ***Just a friendly reminder that this product is for A SINGLE USER ONLY. My boyfriend's birthday is next friday and I do not have him anything yet. As a college student, money is not abundant, thus I have been looking up cheap but sentimental gifts. I love the idea of making a personalized card deck with 52 things you love about whoever you are making the card deck for. Price: >$5 Time: 2 hours Level: Easy Mess: None List: Deck of Cards Sharpie Tape Pictures (optional) The steps: 1. Write 52 things you love about the other person. Think about trips, events, pets, gifts, characteristics, of your time together. 2. I used the fine tip of a sharpie to write directly on the cards. Other tutorials stick something onto the card, but I liked the idea of writing on it so we can still use the cards. 3. Make sure you have all 52 cards. 4. Here are a few things I wrote on the cards, feel free to steal my witty sayings on the queen of hearts, and suicide king. 5. I printed out small photos and taped them onto the box to give a more personal touch. Happy DIYing, Madison Broadway
