Hi there After a very hectic trip to Western Australia last week, it's great to be back for another week of Heart of Christmas. Each week, the talented ladies from the Art with Heart team will bring you inspiration for your holiday craft projects. As with all ideas it has morphed a little as a result of the upcoming products from the 2024 September - December Mini Catalogue. I started with a piece of Pool Party card stock and...

Oh my goodness! Do you ever buy a stamp set on a bit of a whim and then absolutely fall in love with it? Well, the Country Flowers Bundle was that for me. I'm a sucker for a teapot (both real and stamped!), and I also love a set that provides the opportunity to colour in, so this one made its way into my shopping cart. For this card, I paired it with Country Lace DSP, and used that to base my colour scheme on. I coloured the image using Blends in Smoky Slate, Misty Moonlight and Boho Blue. I am also loving the Spotlight on Nature dies - circles in lots of sizes with pretty detailed borders. These are getting quite a workout! I'll be back with another card soon! Hello stamping friends, I have another sneak peek to share with you from the 2024-2025 Annual catalogue. As a demonstrstor we have access to preorders from new upcoming catalogues. When I first saw the Country Flowers Bundle, I knew it was one that I would love. The stamp set includes two different containers, three foliage and flower stamps, a stool and five greetings. For this card I stamped the front pail and flowers first. I created a mask for the pail and then stamped the stool and the teapot and flowers. I stamped the stool again on a piece of woodgrain card stock from the Country Woods DSP and fussy cut it out. I trimmed the stool so that it would fit behind the front pail. I coloured the image with my Blends Markers and cut out the image with a Deckled Rectangle Die. Happy Easter stamping friends, be sure to pop back soon for more peeks from the new catalogue. If you live in Australia and do not already have a demo, contact me and I can send you your own catalogue as soon as it's available. Happy stamping, Rachel

Hello stampers! Today's card is for Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge #440. I wanted another opportunity to color these beautiful flowers and accessories after watching Patty Bennet's video. She shared some wonderful coloring techniques. I was anxious to try some out. I decided to go neutral on this one, stamping and coloring on Basic Beige. I love the way it turned out, especially set against the Country Woods DSP. I already know this is a stamp set I'll be reaching for over and over! Here's a list of my supplies.... STAMPS: Country Flowers PAPER: Basic Beige, Crumb Cake, Vellum, Country Woods DSP, Pebbled Path INK: Early Espresso; Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie, Gray Granite, Smokey Slate, Bronze, and Ivory Blends Markers ACCESSORIES: Country Flowers dies, Natual polkadot ribbon Thanks for taking a peek and have a blessed day! Hello stamping friends. Thank you for joining me on my blog today. I hope that you've had a fantastic week and are having fabulous Sunday! Today I'm participating in a blog hop for the CASE-ing the Catty Design Team, to kick off the new challenge for the week. If you come here from Andrea Saragent's blog welcome, if you've started here with me also welcome. We are about CASE-ing the samples from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue with a different theme to CASE each week. To CASE is to Copy And Selectively Edit. This week we are CASE-ing an Embossing Project from the Stampin' Up! 2024 Annual Catalogue. I was drawn to this gorgeous sample from the Annual catalogue that uses the super cute Sweet Peas Stamp set. I love the card design/layout and the use of the white embossing on the coloured cardstock as a background element on the card. I've used that embossing design on my card and added some extra embossing elements to really step it up. I've used the Country Woods Suite (again) for my card today. I just keep being drawn to this suite time and time again. I don't think I've ever gotten so much use from one suite as I have like this one. I've kept the same colour for my base layers as the original sample - Pool Party and then layered the card up from there. I used the Eyelet Embossing Folder to emboss the base layer and then on my square piece used one of the floral images from the Country Flowers Stamp Set for some heat embossing. On the Perennial Postage die cut piece I scored/embossed some lines across the die cut to create a grid pattern. I stamped the stool piece on the Country Woods DSP for that white washed wood look and then added the tea pot coloured with Stampin' Blends, leaves and some die cut flowers. I doubled up the flowers to give them more of a fuller look. I finished the card off with some more flowers off to the side to keep with a similar design to the catalogue same and then added the Happy Birthday sentiment. I hope that I've inspired you with my Embossed project and have encouraged you to use more embossing in your creations. There are lots of AMAZING creations from the rest of the CASE-ing the Catty Crew so be sure to make your way around the whole hop to get inspiration from the CTC team. Next up on the hop is the fabulous Peta Stephen with her embossed creation.
