In the beginning, costume jewelry of the 1960s looked very much the same as that of the previous decade. However, a change was stirring. Designs were becoming bolder and more expressive. By the end of the decade, 1960s jewelry styles had transitioned from familiar glitzy gold parures to fantastic bold creations fashioned in budget plastics. Femininity

* Description : il s'agit d'un magnifique bracelet plaqué or en filigrane Coro Pegasus mesurant 7 1/2 pouces de long et 1 3/8 pouces de large, datant des années 50. Corocraft Leaf Brooch, 3D design, Silver Jewelry, Mid Century Coro, Vintage Brooches. Measures 3" x 1 1/8". A great example of Corocraft. Silver 3D pin, the higher range of jewelry for Coro, this pin has a modern look to it. The logo on the back is Corocraft with a c copyright symbol. The copyright was put into use in the late 1950s for a designer patented piece. They continued to use it as it was a quicker way to prevent design theft. This silver piece has patina, only cleaned by me with a soft cloth. Some light scratches. Buyer may want to clean further or have it polished by a jeweler. Comes with a gift box to give or to keep.

Presenting a collectible Corocraft 3D vintage cannetille style gold filigree flower brooch pin offered by Puddin Ridge Creations. This is an amazing example of Corocraft vintage jewelry! Coro, owned by Emanuel Cohn and Carl Rosenberger, started the company in 1901. Through the years they branched out in several directions with different "lines" of jewelry. The Corocraft line started production in England in 1933 and ended in 1980. Corocraft was pricier and known to appeal to specialty store customers. Cannetille jewelry was very popular during the Georgian era (1720 to 1820). The Cannetille style of wire work was based on fabric embroidery adapted to precious metal. My understanding is that it was made with fine, twisted wire and sometimes thin sheets of gold or silver. It is actually a "cousin" of filigree work. Cannetille is simply wire or thin sheets of metal coiled into 3D whereas filigree is flat. This particular piece represents a 3D flower brooch. The eight outer circles, four large and four smaller, appear to be the leaves. In the center is the actual flower just beginning to open. Plus, this piece has been described by others as being made in the 1950's. I have no way of knowing when it was actually made. I do know that this would definitely be a perfect collectible piece of vintage Corocraft. It would make a beautiful gift for a best friend or your Mother! Condition: Excellent vintage condition with no problems noted Size: 2 2/8 wide and 2 1/8 inches long Sits almost 1 inch above the pin Fastener: Secure safety C clasp Signature: "Corocraft" - one word, and the copyright Any questions, please convo me.
