A sweet 1940's frock with a sweetheart neckline. A bibbed front is edged in black cluny lace and extends down over the waist. Side teis form a pretty bow in the back.
This custom order was loosely inspired by this image: Of course, we jumped at the chance to make such a delightfully girly number! (You can read about our adventures making all the petals here.) …
This pretty blue outfit has four pieces. The vest is separate and laces up the center. I made the bodice and the sleeves from different coordinating fabric than the skirting. The apron is shaped and is trimmed in white cluny lace and decorative stitching. Kirsten always looks lovely in blue!
Isn't she just the prettiest doll...fair and feminine?

Fearsome Pirate Jess McConnel (There should be a CAPTAIN in there somewhere…) Oh right, CAPTAIN Jess McConnel and her dog, Coconut, have sailed the seas to an unknown island to find buried treasure. They found a map and key on a different island and are determined to find the treasure. As they reach the island, they start following the map, four paces to the east, five paces to the south, and three paces to the east. As they take the last step, they look around for an X. Coconut notices the X drawn in the sand and barks, then Captain Jess says, “Oy! Thar 'tis!”, and they start digging and digging until they come upon the buried treasure! *Winner of the 2011 Halloween Costume Contest from Americangirlfan.com

This fanciful gown is made from shades of pale blue and lavender in a Batik cotton print. The gown features an open neckline . The bodice features a double row of ruching outlined in a lavender ribbon. The sleeves are covered in ruching as well and have a band of lavender ribbon that wrap around the sleeve. A sweet little peplum covers the fully gathered skirting and meets at center front with a lavender ribbon bow that falls over the skirting. The back fastens with thread loops and buttons. Exposed seams have been serged.

Hello everyone! It is finally beautiful spring here so we three slipped into our delicious spring dresses and ran down to the garden to take some photos while the blooms are still out! Becca likes the bright yellow forsythias best, and Charlotte prefers the bold pink blossoms, but my favorites are the delicate white ones. "My heart is fresh and fearless, and overbrimmed with spring." - Sara Teasdale, May Night I hope you all have a lovely Easter! ~ Kirsten
