A quite rare Wiinblad which is quite hard to find. The poster advertise a performance in the Danish city of Helsingør (Elsinore) by the Vox Danica Chamber Choir. The concert was held in 4. March 1987 in the Helsingør Cathedral. The poster appear to represent a quite small event in Denmark which also indicates that the poster probably was made in a very limited edition. The craft of Wiinblad is often colorful, lush and full of humor. He was inspired by the sumptuous oriental style far from the Nordic minimalist line. This artwork is differently true to his special line - please pay close attention to all the little details in the background. The views on his works are to this day very divided, but interest in his finer things are unrelenting - especially abroad (particularly the U.S., Japan, Germany and Norway). Bjørn Wiinblad's contemporaries were not exactly inclined to acknowledge his way to work, so his position as an artist has been a bit special. Globally, Bjørn Wiinblad is one of the very best selling Danish artists. He is represented at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Museum of Modern Art in New York and in many other museums all over the world. ------------------------------------------------------ Artist: Bjørn Wiinblad (signed and dated by Wiinblad in print) Print: Lithographic poster Dimensions: 24.2 x 32.5 in (61.5 x 82.5 cm) Condition: Good condition - the poster only has signs of handling and a few light ceases in the center and in the top - please see pictures. Country: Denmark Thanks for watching and please let me know if you have any questions. REF: L1204
