Hello and welcome, It's time for another Colour INKspiration Challenge #83 and this gorgeous picture was chosen by Colour INKspiration Crew Member Nikki Spencer. As well as the chosen colour combination for #CI83 are Bumblebee, Mossy Meadow, Whisper White and Basic Black, you may also include Crumb Cake and metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory' and 'Bronze' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all of the colour palette, feel free to use the closest Stampin' Up! substitute (ie: Crushed Curry instead of Bumblebee you.. get the drift). We hope you can participate this round and we look forward to seeing a variety of projects using the challenge colours. Please ensure that your project is NEW and specifically for this challenge. #CI83 will run for almost TWO weeks and will end at 7pm (AEST) on Monday August 24th. For my card I've used the Forever Fern Bundle and including those gorgeous Gold Hoop Embellishments. I'm just loving those Hoops so much! I've also used the medium Daisy Punch, punched out three times in Whisper White Cardstock, sponged Bumblebee Ink with a Sponge Dauber and added tiny dots for the center of the Daisy using the Stampin' Write Marker. The challenge colours for the foliage remind me of the Australian Native Bush, like the Australian Wattle Tree. I've added one of the wooden leaves from the In Good Taste Elements. Giving the card a natural earthy look about it. Before layering all of the elements to the card, I've placed the panel of Whisper White Cardstock to the panel of Basic Black Cardstock and then adding the Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon to the two panels. Once everything was added, I've used thick Whisper White Cardstock for the card base. The sentiment is from the Best Year Stamp Set which is from the Annual Stampin' Up! 2020 - 2021 Catalogue and can be found on page 133. I really love the two different fonts in the text. Well I hope I've inspired you to come and join in on the #CI83 challenge. Here's the link to our Colour INKspiration Challenges Facebook Group. Not a member? All you need to do is answer the three questions and we will accept you into the group. Hope to see you there. Happy Crafting Vicki Boucher

Hello and welcome, My name is Vicki Boucher, and I am from Melbourne, Australia. Tonight, is the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI169 this photo was chosen by Colour INKspiration Crew Member, Cathy Pinchbeck. The chosen colour combination for #CI169 is Basic Beige, Blueberry Bushel, Misty Moonlight and Night of Navy. As well as the chosen colours you may also like to add Basic White, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Basic Beige, Crumb Cake and metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory', 'Bronze' and 'Natural Tones' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Azure Afternoon instead of Blueberry Bushel.... for example). The challenge will run for almost 2 weeks until 7pm (AEST) on Monday 22nd July 2024 details to follow at the end of my blog. This is gorgeous this colour palette, I just love the blues together and with a touch of beige for a masculine birthday card for my farther in-law. I've used the Round We Go Bundle (163730) and is located on page 63 of the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. I made a slimline card starting off with a panel of Basic White Cardstock, then adding Misty Moonlight, Blueberry Bushel, Night of Navy inks and the Blending Brush to the cardstock. Next, I used the Round We Go Stamp Set and stamped the images directly onto the inked up cardstock. I added multiple circle images using Blueberry Bushel and Misty Moonlight ink. Then I used the Round We Go Dies and used the peek-through diamond and circle dies to add some interest to the card, I layered another panel of Basic White Cardstock underneath the top panel. This makes the images pop! I layered different pinwheels together using the challenge colours in cardstock and with Basic White Cardstock. To finish off the card I heat embossed the sentiments in white onto Night of Navy Cardstock and I added a small piece of Basic Beige Bordered Ribbon to one of the pinwheels. I hope I've inspired you with the latest challenge and I do hope you'll join in. We so look forward to seeing a variety of projects using the challenge colours. Please ensure that your project is new and made specifically for this challenge. Challenge guidelines: Create a NEW project made specifically for this challenge. Use all of the challenge colours (or close substitutions) unless stated. Upload only ONE picture per entry straight to the discussion wall and NOT in an album. Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI169 will run until 7pm (ADET) on Monday 22nd July 2024. To get your creative ideas flowing, make sure you check out the Crew's Project in the CI169 Album. Welcome back for another Colour INKspiration challenge. This inspiration picture which has inspired our colour palette was chosen by Crew ...
Hello and welcome to another Colour INKspiration Challenge. We have very dramatic colours to work with for Challenge #148. The fabulous Brenton Golley chose our inspiration photo and we have the amazing Beverley Evans coming in as our Guest Designer. I can't wait to see what Bev and the Crew have created. Picture credit - https://www.henrycowls.net/blog-en/the-bullfinch.html To be honest, I struggled my first play which I thought was a little too simple and if you stick around, I'll show you later. If you need to make a card in a hurry, this would be a perfect design. My second play, I went on a completely different tangent and used the Zoo Crew Designer Paper as my feature. I used the "B" side for the background and after die-cutting one of the lion images, I created extra dimension by layering sections of the first image, simplified paper tole style. Supplies: Stamp Set: Circle Sayings Dies: Stylish Shapes, Nested Essentials Designer Paper: Zoo Crew 12" x 12" Cardstock: Pebbled Path, Basic Black, Basic White, Daffodil Delight, Cajun Craze Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, VersaMark Embellishments: Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems Tools: Paper Trimmer, Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Scissors Adhesives: Black Dimensionals, Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Tombow Liquid Glue Let's Make It: Create a card base in Pebbled Path cardstock. Trim a piece of Designer Paper from the Zoo Crew Papers and mat it onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock. Glue this to the card front. Trim four strips of cardstock and randomly stamp the 'Happy Birthday' sentiment on all four strips using VersaMark Ink. Glue these to the front on jaunty angles. Die Cut the largest Nested Essential label die in Basic Black cardstock and attach this over the strips using Black Dimensionals. Stamp the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from Circle Sayings in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and die-cut using the third-to-smallest circle from Stylish Shapes. Glue this this to the card front towards the top of the black label. Select one of the lion images and die-cut using the second-to-largest circle from Stylish Shapes. Select a second image and fussy cut a lions head, tail end, marsh mellow and fire and overlay these onto the first image using Mini Glue Dots to create 3D dimension. Attach this to the card front. Add a few of the Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems to complete the front. Mat a piece of Basic White onto a piece of Basic Black and glue this into the centre of the card. As promised, here is my first play. A really easy design and almost clean and simple. It uses the Timeless Charm stamp set as the feature which is part of the Online Exclusive Products. Feel INKspired to join the challenge? I would love for you to join us! It's a great way to have fun with different colours! If you'd like to join in with our Challenges, click here and ask to join Colour INKspiration, add the group to your Favourites and share it with your crafty friends so they can join in the fun too. Just a reminder to use all the Challenge colours. If you don’t have the colours in our palette, feel free to use the closest Stampin’ Up! substitute - Melon Mambo instead of Berry Burst for example. We also allow Ivory, Bronze and Natural Tones in the Stampin' Blends and Neutrals such as Basic White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Basic Black and Metallics. Thank you so much taking the time to drop in. I hope I have inspired you and if you like what I have shown or if you have any questions, please leave them in the comments section below. Hello and welcome to Colour INKspiration #164. We are bidding farewell to these amazing In Colours with our Challenge today. I really have enjoyed the vibrance and depth of these In Colours. It was so lovely to have them during the lifting of Covid restrictions as we were navigating our way with masks and limitations on our lifestyle. These colours were just cheery and a delight to have as part of our colour palette. My favourites are Sweet Sorbet and Starry Sky equally, I cannot decide which I liked more. What did you like about these colours and which was your favourite? I wanted to use a Bundle that was also retiring at the end of the current catalogue. I have not used the Colour and Contour stamp set as much as I would have liked. The dies were used a lot and will remain in my collection. The simple images in the stamp set are so lovely and I set about creating a bunch of blooms for the central focus of my card. The card base is Starry Sky with a mat layer on top. I also used the scallop die to create a rectangle to adhere the blooms to. You can just see it peeking out the bottom of the blooms. After stamping the leaves I used a small blending brush to colour each leaf before fussy cutting them. The sentiment was stamped on Starry Sky card stock and I die cut it with one of the rectangle die cuts and turned on its side and cut in half as it fit the sentiment better. I stamped the sentiment in Verssamark™ink, sprinkled with White Embossing Powder and set with the Heat Tool. I adhered it with Dimensionals to the bottom right of the blooms. I then tied a length of the Starry Sky Bakers Twine in a double bow and adhered it to the left hand side under the blooms using a Glue Dot™. I enjoyed using these colours again much more than I anticipated. They are beautiful and bold. I have ordered some more card stock in Starry Sky and Sweet Sorbet so I don't run short as I can see myself using it again and again. Hope I have inspired you today to create uaing the In Colours or pull something out that you have hardly used and get creative! Thanks for stopping by today. Hello and welcome to Colour INKspiration #170. We have such a wonderful challenge for you for CI#170. Choose 3 of your favourite Stampin' Up!® colours. How fabulous and fun is this challenge. The main issue with this is only picking three colours as all colours are beautiful. I went straight to my ink collection and grabbed Pool Party as it is my all time favourite. Then chose two more of my current colour loves, Bubble Bath and Shy Shamrock. Our colour range offers so much versatility and is current with fashionable colours. Thanks to crew member Rose Packer for choosing this glorious photo for this fun challenge. Picture Credit https://www.theenglishroom.biz/.../edfdf88470cf528f213379... Pool Party Bubble Bath Shy Shamrock Once I looked at the three colours together I could only think of gorgeous Cath Kidstone fabrics. Another love of mine is patchwork and quilting. Cath's prints are vibrant and my favourites are the florals. I realised I needed to use a rose or another floral to make this come to life. Layers of beauty is a gorgeous floral Bundle with the coordinating masks making it just so easy to colour and bring to life with a blending brush. The card base is Pool Party and the mat layer of Designer Series Paper is from the upcoming Mini Catalogue and is called the Nests of Winter DSP. You will love this suite coming in the mini catalogue. I have use the Timber 3D Embossing Folder on a piece of Pool Party card stock for the layer under the blooms. I have used Pool Party ink and a Blending Brush to give this layer some dimension before curling the corners. I have cut some of the smaller leaves in Pool Party card stock and used some Pool Party ink with a Blending Brush for depth. Adhering them using Glue Dots™ underneath the edges of the blooms. Once I coloured the floral images I used the dark Pool Party Stampin' Blend to colour the white edges so the flowers would pop against the background. This is easily done. The sentiment is from the Layers of Beauty Bundle. I just have not inked the Grateful on the photopolymer stamp and die cut using the tag in the Bundle before tying with Linen Thread and adhering to the card front. Many thanks for stopping by today. I hope you are inspired to create using your three favourite colours and join in the challenge inn our Colour INKspiration Challenges Facebook Group. Hello and welcome, It's the first Colour INKspiration challenge for 2021 #CI92 and this beautiful photo was taken by Cheryll Miller one of the Design Crew Member who recently joined our team late last year. Isn't it just stunning? I would so love to be in the field of tulips and see so much colour. The colours for #92 challenge are Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Magenta Madness, Merry Merlot and Garden Green. As well as the chosen colours you may also add Basic White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand, Basic Black and metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory' and 'Bronze' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Pumpkin Pie instead of Calypso Coral .... you get the drift). The challenge will run up to almost 4 weeks until 7pm on the 8th Feb 2021 details to follow at the end of my blog. I've used new Stampin' Up! products from the January to June 2021 Stampin' Up! Mini Catalogue. The Blending Brushes is a must have! They come in a pack of three item code 153611 for only $21. I now have two sets of these and I'm sure to buy at least another set. I use certain brushes for shades of yellows, reds, blues, greens etc.. Using a panel of Basic White Cardstock I started with Daffodil Delight then blending with Calypso Coral, Magenta Madness and finished off with Merry Merlot. Adding to my card I've used the Pretty Perennials Bundle stamp set and dies, save 10% when purchase as a bundle item code 156234 for $78.25. The flowers are stamped in Magenta Madness, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral and the leaves are in Garden Green. Adding die cut pieces in coordinating colours for the flowers. The center pieces are clear gems from the Flowers for Every Season Gems. The sentiment is also from the Pretty Perennials Stamp Set. Using the Happy image stamped in Memento Ink onto Basic White Cardstock and fussy cut out. The birthday image is stamped Versamark Ink onto Basic Black Cardstock adding White Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool. To finish off my project I've added black and white Baker's Twine to my project which coordinates with the greeting. We hope you can participate this round and we look forward to seeing a variety of projects using the challenge colours. Please ensure that your project is new and made specially for this challenge. #CI92 will run until 7pm (ADET) on Monday 8th February. Please click on the link here to join the challenge. Hello and welcome to our latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #78 and this fun photo is our inspiration for our projects. The colours for this challenge are Blushing Bride, Gray Granite and Early Espresso a favourite combination of mine. You can also add Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black and metallics. The challenge runs for almost 2 weeks and will end at 7pm (AEST) on 8th June 2020. I hope you’ll enter into the Colour INKspiration Challenge we would so love to see your creation. More details below. I love these colours together so much, I just couldn’t wait to get out my inks and my new Stampin’ Up! products from the new 2020 – 2021 Annual Catalogue. I’ve used the new Tasteful Textures Stamp Set and Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder for my card. I wanted a Shabby Chic look for the card, so I decided to get out my sewing machine and sew the panel of Brushing Bride Cardstock. It’s my first time doing this and I love it! I’ve added many layers to the card by using different types of DSP, Watercolor Paper and Cardstock. The Watercolor Paper is a wash of Gray Granite and Early Espresso Ink for the background. The stamped images of the feathers are in the challenge colours and the flower is stamped in Blushing Bride. The sentiment is a scrap piece of Watercolor Paper with a wash of Blushing Bride Ink and the greeting stamped in Early Espresso. I like to add a few delicate touches to the card by using the key from the Bird Ballad Trinkets which is retiring and the gorgeous Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim. I might have to try out sewing with my cards again. Have you ever tried it? Make sure you visit our Facebook group to enter the competition, we would love to see how you would use these colours. Click here at Colour INKspiration Facebook group to take part and upload the photo of your creation. You don’t need a blog to enter either. Share with your crafty friends, so they can join in with the challenges too. Hope to see you there! The countdown is on...only 2 more days of work for me and then I get to enjoy 8 weeks of summer vacation! I am SO ready! Summer break means more time to stamp and more time to play along with fun challenges like this weeks Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge. This week's sketch paired up perfectly with the Mosaic Mood Suite. Have you seen the new Timeless Label Punch? I love it's unique shape! And the Mosaic Mood DSP is AMAZING! It is so full of beautiful colors and textures. I am loving all of the new DSP patterns that have images that you can cut out, like this beautiful humming bird. Isn't it pretty? Inspired by some of the samples in the 2019-2020 Annual catalog, I roughed up the edges of a layer to add just a bit more texture. I always love how some of the smallest details can add so much to a card. Supplies Used: Paper ~ Mint Macaron, Whisper White, Mosaic Mood Specialty DSP Ink ~ Crushed Curry Stamp Set ~ Memorable Mosaic Other Supplies ~ Timeless Label Punch, 1/4" Mint Macaron Textile Ribbon, 2019-2021 In Color Faceted Dots Have you had a chance to use the Textile Ribbon yet? Hello and welcome, It's the latest Colour INKspiration challenge #CI99 and this stunning photo was chosen by Jacque Williams one of the Design Crew Members. This colour combo is so beautiful and something I normally wouldn't create using these colours, but I do love a colour challenge! The colour combination for #CI99 are Mint Macaron, Just Jade, Smoky Slate and Soft Suede. As well as the chosen colours you may also add Basic White, Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory' and 'Bronze' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Gray Granite instead of Smoky Slate.... you get the drift). The challenge will run for almost 2 weeks until 7pm on the 31st May 2021 details to follow at the end of my blog. Today's card is a watercolour handmade card using the Simply Succulents Stamp Set and Potted Succulents Dies. The challenge colours I thought are perfect for the succulents, by mixing the colours together with different combinations to achieve a variation of colour. I've stamped the images using Stazon Jet Black Ink onto Shimmery White Cardstock and I applied ink with the Water Painters. I like to use the fine tip brush for the succulents and large flat brush tip for the planter pot. Before layering the die cut pieces to the card, I added Smoky Slate Ink with the Blending Brush to the panel of Basic White Cardstock. The sentiment is also from the Simply Succulents Stamp Set, I stamped off before randomly stamping the image three times to the Basic White panel. To finish off the card, I've heat embossed the sentiment with Versamark Ink, sprinkled White Stampin' Emboss Powder and heat set using the Heat Tool. The card base is Smoky Slate Cardstock and the bow is White Baker's Twine. I hope you can participate in this latest round and as we so look forward to seeing a variety of projects using the challenge colours. Please ensure that your project is new and made specially for this challenge. #CI99 will run until 7pm (ADET) on Monday 31st May 2021. Please click on the link here to join the challenge. Just a reminder to upload your challenge pics straight to the discussion wall and not in an album. Thank you for visiting my blog today, I would so love hear your thoughts on my project by leaving a comment below. You can purchase any of the Stampin' Up! products by shopping with me at my online store here. Happy Stamping! Vicki Boucher
