I am showing off two cards made from the new Color & Contour Stamp Set today! If you are coming from the Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop- Welcome!! I am Ann Krucek, from Ohio, USA. I am happy to be participating in the May Blog Hop where the theme is anything Floral. 🌼🌸🌼🌸🌼🌸 I used the new Contour & Color Stamp Set for both of these cards. The first card is using the spotlight idea where I stamped several of the daisy type flowers in a random pattern in Momento Ink and then cut a portion of it out with a circle die. I took that piece I cut out and colored it with my Stampin' Blends and adhered it to a black scalloped circle to frame the circle. Then I just lined it back up with where it was cut from and adhered the circle back in place. Sorry- just realized I left off the Basic Black cardstock! 🌼🌸🌼🌸🌼🌸 The second card is done with white embossing powder. I stamped a piece of Shimmer White cardstock with Versamark ink randomly with the daisy type stamp from the Color & Contour set and added a leaf here and there. Then I used the embossing powder and heat tool to get those raised white flower images. Then I just used my Water Painters and water colored the with the new Polished Pink ink and just a tiny bit of Bubble Bee ink. As you squeeze out small amounts of water - the colors blend nicely and you can paint right over the embossing and it magically stays white!!! The sentiment is a die from the Ornate Frames set. I added a few of the new In Color Jewels to give it a bit more sparkle and some Polished Pink Ribbon. These two cheerful cards are pretty simple to make but make an impact. Now if you are following along or just starting the hop, below is the list of all the participants. Be sure to check out all of the other talented bloggers for more fabulous inspiration !! The first one is a line drawing of dandelions my husband gave me a few months ago. Dandelions are fine, but are by no means the prettiest flower out there. They do, however, rank pretty high on my list of favorites because they always signal that warm spring weather is near - a sentiment that seems foolish now that it's in the mid 90's and the "southern hug" of humidity has tightened its grip. The second one is of a bouquet from the table at my favorite cafe. It was the perfect day. Me, a stack of books and my iPod had a quiet morning while my sweet husband watched the kids for a few hours. I ate a giant slice of cake for breakfast and didn't have to explain to anyone under the age of four why that was okay for grown-ups to do. :) The flowers were sketched on the back of a bookmark, and I used some hot sauce and coffee to add a little bit of color.
