This week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches gave me the opportunity of play with the Country Club suite of products. If you have a golfer in the family, then this set is a must-have. I think my two favourite things in this suite are the teeing off golfer, who can be die cut, and the Absolutely Argyle embossing folder. I've stacked the golfer to give him a bit more lift. Another lovely product is the Country Club Elements, lovely wooden embellishments that add a rustic charm to any project. I've used a strip of it to back the sentiment. If you live in New Zealand and don't have a Stampin' Up Demonstrator, I'd love to be yours. I can help you with ideas, get you catalogues and provide you with Stampin' Up products. SHUTTER CARD I'm pretty excited to share this shutter card video with you. It's not only a cool interactive card technique, but it includes the Capture the Good stamp set that I helped design with Stampin Up! I love this set, it's my favorite (I know I may be slightly biased). I love photography. The front of this card says "Snap Click Say Cheese" with a photobombing koala. And when you open it, there is a camera with a shutter that opens to reveal another koala! Super fun! I was also thinking how cool this idea would be for a party invitation. When you open it, the camera reveals a photo. I combined the Stampin Up Birthday Bonanza Suite with the Capture the Good stamp set for this party card. The Bonanza Buddies stamp set and dies, combined with the Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper, pompoms and matching Daffodil Ruched Ribbon. I will share how I made this card on the video below. There is an accompanying free PDF below as well that includes all of the measurements and scoring information. My inspiration for this card came from a shutter card that Donna Hepburn created (photo below) using the camera stamp. She sent me one and I was so inspired, I've been dying to make one.
Hi Everyone. Happy Sunday. It's the fabulous LeAnne's turn to host our Paper Players challenge this week and it's sketch week: I decided to ink up one of my newer sets for this and use some of the DSP that I got in a variety pack from SU. Golf isn't "my" thing, but I know lots of people who play, so this was a great set to use on cards to send to my golfing friends. I used two of the DSP sheets and used them for the background. I stamped the image and colored it then die-cut it with...
