Hi, friends! Cece (@candiescorner) here sharing with you how this page came together using the Citrus Twist Kits July GraceBox. This is my first post and I'm very excited to be here and to be part of this community. First off, I started with putting down some acrylic paint by swiping them from left to right with a baby wipe. This technique is super easy and fun. I used the Dina Wakely (that came in the kit) and Illustrated Faith Pebeo (#23) acrylic paints because they matched the kit nicely. I put a small amount of paint on the baby wipe and swiped down paints in different areas on the margin of my Bible. It's like finger painting except you use a baby wipe. Next, I wanted to put down the words, "gather together and give thanks," so I used a combination of stickers from the All People All Nations and Auburn Lane Pink Paislee sticker sheets that came in the kit, and some alpha stickers that I already had in my stash to spell out the word GIVE. Then at the bottom of the page, I used the phrases from the stamp set and stamped down the ones I thought went well with this page. If I had more space, I would've stamped them all down. I also put down some enamel circles that came in the kit to fill in some of the blank spaces then stamped down the cross stamp using some VersaFine onyx black ink, making sure to stamp it on some scrap paper first before stamping it down on my Bible to minimize the bleed through. Then I drew out some lines to write down a prayer. Here's the end product: I hope you enjoyed today's creative process! I would love to see how you use this kit. Have a great rest of the week and may God bless you and keep you!
Hi there! Nathalie with you today with a new post that is all about making the most out of your kits. I am in love with the colors and feels of this month's Excursions and Add-On kits, plus all the n
Happy Sunday everyone! I made a 6x8 Layout with another beautiful sketch using my July Kit. I documented my new Hobby and adhered very exact to the sketch. The July Kit is perfect for all you nature photographs. I printed my photo in 7x7 cm and stuck it on a Project Life card . Then i have decorated the side with Tags, flowers and bits and pieces from the ephemera pack how you see in the sketch. For my title i have used the awesome SOPHIE ALPHABET stamp set. Below I cut a journal card into stripes. I love how my Layout turned out and i hope i can inspire too. Have a wonderful day.
Hey everyone! It's Alena with layout for Sunday Sketch. Here's a look at the sketch this week: Instead of creating a traditional 12x12 layout, I wanted to show you how easily these sketches can translate into a Life Crafted Album's pages. I just divided the layout exactly in the middle and shifted the right photo a little. I replaced one of the large rectangles with a machine line. These pages are quite simple and has lots of white space. Love how this turned out, the colors of the kit are perfect for the cute pictures of our boys. My absolute favorite of this Kit is Exclusive Acetate. Well, then it is time for you be inspired by the sketch to create a page of your own. Remember to share your creations with us on the Citrus Twist Kits Friends page on Facebook or by using #CTK, @Citrustwistkits on social media. I cannot wait to see what you create with this sketch.
Hello Girls ! How are you ? I'm back to show my June pages, with the beautiful cards from Citrus Boardwalk Kit :) As usual, you will see that journaling takes an important place in my PL. Most recently, I reopened my PL 2015 and 2106, and beyond the pictures and the decoration, I loved to re-read my journaling and rediscover the anecdotes throughout the months. I could only encourage you to write in your PL, by hand or, like me, at the typewriter, it will leave invaluable memories for the future. This is what I appreciate most with the Citrus Kit cards is that it allows us to write our text in a so cute way. Place to images : See you Girls ! Célina
Happy Sunday, CTK fam! Jordan here today with your final Sunday Sketch for April and it's a fun one! :) For this layout I used the gorgeous Savannah Scrapbook Kit and the April Embellishment Kit. I stayed fairly true to the sketch this time making only a few minor changes...more like additions, but nothing that changed the over all look and feel of the original. I found the glittery enamel pack to be perfect for adding the scattered shapes to the page. One thing you'll see me do from time to time (that I would like to incorporate more often) is that I will hand jam my journaling as a border. Sometimes I border the entire page with it, sometimes a photo or embellishment. Here I didn't have a ton to say, so journaling around the photo was perfect. I really don't like my handwriting, but for some reason, when I border something with it, it doesn't bother me like it usually does, and I really like the effect. I especially loved the colors in the kits this month. The mint, pink, coral combo is a favorite. It's so fresh and bold. Just right for spring time layouts, don't you agree? There were so many gorgeous embellishments this month as well. No shortage of tags and word strips, which I almost always include multiples of on my layouts. I hope you enjoy this "super, uper, duper" (as my daughter says) fun sketch! We look forward to seeing your adaptation this week. Please share your finished layouts with us on our Facebook group and on the Gram. Don't forget to hashtag #citrustwistkits! Have a beautiful week and I'll see you back here soon! :) xo, Jo
Hi there! It's Trina here today with your weekly challenge. Are you ready for your Sunday scrapbooking sketch? This week we have a 12" x 12" sketch for you that I've converted to an 8.5" x 11" layout. Here is your sketch: I've done a loose representation of this sketch with my focus on the 3 stacked photos and the small gathering of title + embellishments. I worked with both the June 2017 Boardwalk Pocket Life kit and Scrapbooking kit. I think I had the most fun with the Title/Journaling spot in the lower right of the sketch. To type on the Elle's Studio Live Laugh Love Bits & Pieces piece I adhered it with light-tack tape runner to a piece of paper so I could roll it into my typewriter. Here is a close-up: Now it's your turn! To play along with this week's challenge, create a layout inspired by the sketch, upload it to the Citrus Twist Kits Gallery with the sketch date (6/18) in the title, and you may just win a $5 gift certificate to the CTK shop. I can't wait to see your take on this sketch. Trina

Hi guys! Diane here with another Pocket Life Challenge for you! This week, I actually really liked my photos (not the usual hodge-podge, which is a nice change!) so I wanted to keep things very simple. I added all my journalling for the week onto one journal card and then used one or two simple embellishments on each photo. Then, I tied the whole spread together by using the puffy star stickers from the Embellishment Kit, and sprinkled them across the page, using the same colours from my cards and photos. Here is how I tied this week's layout together with a bunch of puffy stickers... So my challenge for you this week is: Keep it simple by adding a single embellishment to each photo, putting all your journalling on one card and tying the whole thing together with a bunch of one element!
Hi there! not sure about your days, but ours are filled with school, work, and other activities that keeps us on our toes all the times. That is why sharing daily entries on my December album can be
Hello! It's Zinnia here today. This time i am not going to share my Traveler's Notebook layout but a pocket life page with a sketch!! Are you excited? Let's take a look of my overall layout. This is a 12 x 12 page that I created using Citrus Twist Kit January Pocket Life + Embellishment Kit. I decided to use the photos of my nephews to create this layout as they are both looking adorable! Don't you agree? More close ups.... I also have a sketch for you.. Thanks for visiting Pocket Life Friday, where every week we share PL sketches and a chance to win. For your chance to win, create a layout based on the sketch in this blog post, post your layout to our Gallery or our Facebook Fan page by Friday, January 20th, 2017. Hello friends, Leigh here to share a Sunday Sketch for today. The Mermaid Add-on Kit this month is awash in sun-bleached, gorgeous summer colors. A rainbow of embroidery floss was used to match the beautiful kit colors. I had so much fun choosing little die cuts and bits to place along the different colors of stitched rays. Close up to show the hand-stitched floss and variety of pretty kit embellishments. I cut the die cut apart to feature the words I wanted for the title. "Mermaid Hair" was perfect for this photo of my daughter's hair this summer. I layered a die cut frame, surfboard, and polka-dot mat from the six by six paper pad in the kit, under the photo, and raised it up on foam dots. Aren't the colors in the Mermaid Add-on Kit for July 2017 so beautiful? It is the perfect kit with so many options for creating in your Traveler's Notebooks, Planners, and paper crafting projects this summer. Thank you for joining us today, and happy crafting, Leigh

Hey everyone! It's Alena with layout for Sunday Sketch. Here's a look at the sketch this week: I was inspired by a beautiful cut file "Picture Story" that I used as a title. I cut this out of a mint cardstock and added a bow of the same color to balance the composition. I added quite a lot of machine stitching and colorful drops. I made a small envelope out of vellum and filled it with sequins. Well, then it is time for you be inspired by the sketch to create a page of your own. Remember to share your creations with us on the Citrus Twist Kits Friends page on Facebook or by using #CTK, @Citrustwistkits on social media. I cannot wait to see what you create with this sketch.

Hello my beautiful CTK friends! I am so excited to be with you today sharing a little Sunday inspiration with the September kit along with the Sunday sketch. I usually work with pocket pages so I was so happy to work on a full page layout! Here is a look at the sketch for today. I love working with sketches! It helps the layout come together in a snap! Working with a good template helps boost my creativity and helps me think out of my normal scrapbooking box. I liked that in this sketch the focal point was a big cluster of papers, embellishments and photos! Here is a look at my final layout using the sketch as inspiration. I choose various papers from the kit that coordinated and created a nice soft looking spread to match the theme of my photos. I adore the papers from the Maggie Holmes Willow Lane collection and they made the pregnancy pictures of my sister look so feminine and beautiful! Even down to the flowers! I used this month's digital cut file to create the beautiful lattice work behind the photos. I love the detail and softness it brings to the spread. What is so great about digital files is that they can be manipulated to fit any type of project. To add to the detail and texture of the spread I added stitching to a few spots around the spread. My final touch was a little repeated stamping. So cute! I can't wait to put this in a frame for my sister to add to the decor in her nursery. What a special memory... and it all started with a sketch. ;) Thanks for stopping by! I can't wait to see how this sketch inspires you to tell your stories!
Hi everyone! Marie here and today I would like to walk you through my process of putting a Project Life page together. At the beginning of the month, I always use an empty calendar that I print on white cardstock and I fill it in with the important stuff of the month. This month I decided to highlight the days where something happened by coloring them with some pink ink. I also added some splatters. The "June", written in French, is a cut file I designed and cut out of black paper. When I work on my PL album, I try to gather my photos, stories and ephemeras in small groups of 2 or 3 pockets. Here, for example, I was working on a cake for my upcoming daughter's birthday. I used a 4x6 photo, a 2.5x2.5 photo that I printed to look like a polaroid and a 3x4 card for some journaling. I embellished slightly. Sometimes, when the story is small, I can fit everything on a 3x4 card, like here, for the contest I won at Crate Paper, I simply printed the text that was on the website as part of the photo and added a small word sticker. The next 3 pockets are for the swim meet. One 3x4 photo, one 4x6 and a 4x6 card full of text with little embellishments. I love to use stitching to add cute details to my cards and photos. To add journaling, sometimes I have enough of a small label and some letter stickers. The small stamps coming with the kits are really fun to mix with our own hand writing!! And the word stickers, labels and cards containing words are very useful too to add little details. On this card I simply added ink splatters. There you go! I hope I could inspire you some. :) Marie
Hello and welcome in 2016! It's Kasia here with some Project Life inspiration (and brand new sketches!) for you! Start of the year makes me very excited- finally I could play with my new album from Citrus Twist Kits store- I immediately fell in love with the 9x12 size, it's not too big, practical and ideal for my weekly spreads. Before I show you my pages, let me share with you my approach to this year's album: - I'll be making spreads few times a month-without numbering the weeks, - I want to keep my album fairly simple and minimalistic - less is more, - I'm going to use lots of instagram photos (therefore I'm in love with the square pockets page design!) - I'll keep adding handwritten journaling, - My goal is to work on the album consistently through the year. I believe that setting some goals and having an overal idea how we are going to approach PL album is a key to success and staying commited through the months to come :) Ok! Now time to show you how I made this weeks entry with CTK January kit! I will also share with you few easy steps on how to make bright and light spreads in PL album, so... stay tuned! STEP 1- PHOTOS To keep the album bright and airy your photos should be... light! Aim for taking photos during the day, use the daylight whenever you can. Edit pictures before printing- increase the brightness, play with contrast, decrease the shadows and let the highlights pop a bit. You can also add a little white frame around your pictures- this way even the darker photograph will appear lighter in the album. STEP 2 - MATERIALS I love to use lots of neutrals to build a base of my pages and than add some happy, bright pops of color. I try to limit these to 2-3 shades per spread to avoid visual chaos. I found that these tricks help me achieve the look of pages that I love- balanced and bright, with photographs in focal point. STEP 3 - COMPOSITION Before I glue anything down I like to play with composition of my page. I move the things around until I'm satisfied with the final arrangment, than I stick the elements together. At the end I write my journaling and add some stamping here and there. Here is the final look of my pages. If you like it, you can easily recreate it using the sketches I attached below for you. And a sketch for you... do you know my favourite trick regarding sketches? Rotate or flip them! This way one sketch can provide you lots of beautiful (and different!) layouts each time you work with it! Have a lovely Friday and even better weekend! I'm looking forward to seeing your spreads in 2016 :)

Hi dear CTK friends! It's Anna here today sharing this week's 3 to Inspire. One of my favorite challenges for sure. Here's my three promts for us to play around with. 1. Use a black & white photo 2. Use PL card(s) 3. Use stitches And here's what I came up with using the CTK April Life Crafted "Make it a Venti" kit. Let's start with my first promt, a black &white photo. I love this photo of my son and I and his hand in my hand. I just want to freeze these precious moments and keep them forever close to my heart. My second promt was PL-card(s) and I immediately knew which one to use for this page and it was that pink card that decided my color scheme for my project. For sure you can use pink and blossoms for a boy page if you ask me. My third and last promt, of course, stitches!! I hardly can leave any of my layouts without some stitching, lol! Also, don't you just love those flowers on this gorgeous cut file from our Subscribers exclusives. It's designed by the super talented Nathalie. Now it's your turn to make your own take of this fun challenge. I hope you will enjoy playing along as much as I did! Be sure to share your creations with us on the CTK Fan Page or/ and on Instagram #citrustwistkits. We can't wait to see what magic you will create. Until next time! Anna xo
Hi dear CTK friends! Anna here with you today to share this weeks Sunday Sketch. This is my favorite challenge. I love to kick start my layouts using a sketch, makes everything so much easier. Well, let's have a look at our super inspiring sketch. And here's what I came up with using the August Chasing Rainbows Life Crafted Kit. I stayed pretty close to the original design but just flipped it kind of up side down. Also I've used a CTK cut file for the word "perfect". Actually the cut file says "imperfect" so I just used my scissors to cut of the "im" and just leave the "perfect" piece. Worked as a charm togeter with the acetate word "happiness". I love all the CTK stamps and I often use them as kind of my journaling also the bigger pink heart are out of one of the august stamp sets. On this page I've used three of the Add On stamp sets as, Life Crafted Travelers Notebook, Life Crafted and Life Crafted This is Life Oh Happy Day. You find them all here in the shop. Those smaller and so pretty enamel hearts are from the July Life Crafted kit, I just love that you can mix your left over pieces from past CTK Life Crafted kits with your new ones. Also the pink stripe of patterned paper at the bottom are one of the August Life Crafted digital TN-papers from the shop. And there you have it! Now it's your turn and don't forget to share with us on CTK Fan Page and /or Instagram@citrustwistkits #citrustwistkits. We can't wait to see what magic you'll create. Be sure to head over to the CTK shop and grab some goodies or maybe sign up for a subscription, you'll absolutely love it! Until next time! Anna xo
Hello! Here is Amelie with you today with a new PL spread. It is not exactly a new spread but the beginning of a little album for my son. I decided to do one for each of my son. Such great memories for them! I use to create these pages my May PL kit and Embellishment kit. Now, some PL sketches to play with! Thanks for visiting Pocket Life Friday, where every week we share PL sketches and a chance to win a piece of weekly fun mail. For your chance to win, create a layout based on the sketches in this blog post, post your layout to our Gallery or our Facebook Fan Page by Friday, June 5th. Be sure to include PL 5/29 in your title! See you soon, Amelie
Hello again! I am so excited to share another spread with the June Capri kit. I made so much with this kit, and had so much fun finding creative ways to get the most out of some of my favorites while finding new ways to use some of the bits that might otherwise get overlooked. For this layout, I knew I wanted to use the lovely pinky peach leaf patterned paper, but I wanted touches of it throughout the spread, not just on one card. In order to do this, and to still give myself journaling space, I cut strips that I could adhere easily to the sides of some 3x4 white cardstock. Although I had to fight the urge to hoard those amazing cork phrase embellishments, using them as little prompts for my journaling was the perfect touch to the simple card. Adding in the puffy arrows, which I used to highlight some of my favorite spots in the spread's photos, helped to tied it altogether. I love tucking in bits of journaling that is visible to the eye when someone flips through my albums, especially simple little notes to self. Shipping tags are definitely a favorite of mine for these, so after I wrote down my note and added a ribbon, I realized that the glassine envelope that some of the embellishments came in was perfect for the tag! A pair of pinking shears to the top to trim it down, add some of my favorite little puffy stickers, and it's just right. I hope this spread encourages you to not only make your own cards out of the kit's awesome embellishments, but also to keep it simple, focusing your supplies to highlight your smallest, but often best, moments of the week! Here's the sketch for you this week: Remember, if you create a layout based off of today's sketch and upload it to our gallery with the date of the challenge in the title, you will be eligible to win a bit of Fun Mail from CTK! Looking forward to seeing what you create!
Hello there! We are so lucky to have Nancy Damiano as our June 2021 Guest Designer, and she is with us today with one last project.... Hi there, Nancy here with my last guest post. This one was created in my Sunshine Life Crafted album using the cardstock stickers and ephemera from the June release. This one is a story about hope and a message I ran across written in the sand. The enlarged photo featured a large open space courtesy of blue skies! I filled this space with my title with CT White Puffy Alphabet stickers and a label sticker from the June release. It was all I needed to decorate the page. I created a bookmark of sorts by using vellum to create a spot for my story. This allows for a larger space for journaling while maintaining a sheer overlay of the right side of the spread which includes a page full of embellishments. On the right I created a collage with two additional photos and ephemera from the June release. A simple grid and a bit more story keep the design clean and fresh. My pages really came together quickly with the June release. The beautiful colors and designs make creating a snap! We just love Nancy's simple but detailed style, and it is reflected in this gorgeous spread. WE are so happy to be able to share some of Nancy's magic with you all. Remember to check more of her work on Instagram. Thank you so much Nancy for sharing some of your stories with us this month. WE have loved having you as a guest! XO
Hi everyone! I’m here on the blog today with this week’s Sunday Sketch! Sketches are such a great way to get you started on a layout, especially when you’ve lost some of your creative mojo. Here’s what it looks like... This is my take on the sketch… I’ve used items from both the gorgeous Life Crafted and Scrapbooking Add-on Kits to put this layout together. Overall, I tried to stay fairly true to the sketch, but made a few little changes to put my own spin on it. Instead of the vertical strips behind the photo I used the Field Trip paper that has the looks of multiple pieces put together. I love the different colors in this paper against the white background and paired it with the grey 6 x 8 paper from the Life Crafted Kit. I kept the embellishments nice and simple in my usual style. The florals in the kit this month are absolutely gorgeous and the puffy stickers are perfect for adding extra little details. I also added some stamping around the page using the September 2019 Life CraftedTraveler’s Notebook Stamp Set. These stamps are perfect to use for all sorts of adventures! You can see my process in the video below: I love how easily this page came together using the sketch and this month’s kits. I hope you’ll join in the fun and share your version of the sketch with us too! Be sure to tag us on social media so we can see what you come up with!

Hi Everyone! Marie Lottermoser here today to share a peek inside my work space. Over the years I've gone through several transformations of my scrapbooking space trying to find what works best for me. I've gone from having a room full of tools and supplies to now just keeping my absolute favorites on hand and within easy reach. Like a lot of people I'm a big fan of the Raskog cart. On the top shelf I keep ink pads, roller stamps, pens and washi tape. The middle section holds adhesive, my Crop-A-Dile, a Tiny Attacher, my favorite punches, stickers and labels. The bottom tray holds my Fuse tool, paper trimmer, and larger equipment. I only keep the things I use all the time in my cart and I weed through it often to get rid of what I'm not using. Just the other day I went through all of my roller stamps and checked for duplicates. I had several identical date stamps when I only needed one. One thing that has really changed for me over time is I use mostly open storage now. I've learned when I keep things in drawers and cabinets I will forget about them. Now I keep uncovered trays and dishes out in the open so I can see exactly what I have, and it inspires me to use my stash. I have a white organizer I fill with a variety of envelopes and tags. Grouping like items together helps me always know where they are. Extra 6x8 page protectors go in a metal bin. Clear stamps go in another open container. I keep extra ink pads in the front and the stamps are easy to flip through to find what I need. When the container gets too full I know it's time to go through and just keep what I'm actually using. Jars hold alphabets and embellishments. I keep clear plastic bins out of the way which hold collections I haven't used yet, but can't seem to part with (October Afternoon anyone?). I also have a bin full of memorabilia I haven't gotten around to scrapping yet. A small bookshelf holds my albums. The top shelf is 6x8 and the bottom is 8.5 x 11. I still have some 12x12 albums which are currently residing in my closet. When a new kit comes in the mail I keep it out on my desk while I use it. When the month is over I take what's left and put it with the rest of my stash. 3x4 cards are divided by color and put in a wood coffee box. I made dividers out of slightly larger cards so I could easily find what I'm looking for. And that's a quick look at my studio! By keeping it simple and open I find I use a lot more supplies, and I'm inspired by what I have. I hope you've enjoyed visiting today!
Hi CTK Friends! Amanda here, sharing a super fun Fall layout for today's Let's Get Digital post! I have used the FREE Leaf Frame file with my Silhouette Sketch Pens for a really fabulous mixed media look! Here's what I created.... "Small Things, Great Love" CTK Supplies | Little Things Pocket Life Kit, Little Things Scrapbook Kit, October Pattern Paper Play Kit, Leaf Frame Digital Cut File, Pinkfresh Studio Liquid Watercolors. Isn't this gor-jus?!! All the Fall fabulousness here! I have featured the Little Things Pocket Life Kit, and combined it with wood veneer from the Little Things Scrapbook Kit, as well as fussy cut butterflies from the Vicki Boutin paper in the Pattern Paper Play Kit. But it's the Leaf Frame File that really makes this layout! The Leaf Frame file has been designed by our very talented Nathalie DeSousa, & looks like this.... So awesome!!! You can download the Leaf Frame Digital Cut File from the CTK Store HERE. I enlarged this file so it would frame around edge of my 12 x 12" cardstock base, & then used Silhouette Sketch Pens (Orange & Red ) to draw the enlarged digital file. I loosely paint the leaves with the fabulous Pinkfresh Studio Liquid Watercolors in Candy Apple, Clementine, Sunshine & even a tiny amount of Lavender! I love the flow and vibrancy of these liquid watercolors! Here's a closer look for you..... Sketch Pens are water soluble, so I use this 'ink bleeding' to my advantage, & blend to create a little tone within my messy water coloring. I also add a few inky splatters for good measure. So cool! Here's another view for you.... Sketch Pens are really good fun, and combined with the Pinkfresh Studio Liquid Watercolors, they're super effective too! Those fussy cut butterflies are such a pretty adornment too! The laugh veneer from the Scrapbook Kit coordinates perfectly with both the Fall, outdoorsy theme of my layout. It's also a pretty accurate descriptor of the story in my photo too! Aren't they just the cutest?! I layer my favorite Fall photo onto that exclusive PL journal card, and then layer die cuts and 6 x 8 pattern paper beneath it all. Super simple creating that's tons of fun, and looks super effective! And there you have it! My fun take on this month's Let's Get Digital highlight! I hope you'll download this FREE file (and more) from the CTK shop HERE, and get a little creative too! Thanks so much for visiting, til next time, Happy Arty Days, Amanda xo

Hello friends! Happy December! Lorilei here today sharing some ideas for a Christmas Album using the December 2019 Scrapbook Add-On Kit! For my chipboard cover, I used the Spencer stamps to create the "Merry" and added the Crate Paper alpha for the December part of my title. This page has a card that flips open to add photos and stories. The front has a band for tucking in tags or photos! Next, I created two pocket pages. One with a patterned paper pocket and the next uses white cardstock with an angled pocket. I used lot's of the Crate Paper Snowflake ephemera and some Heidi Swapp stickers! Close up detail! My next pages hold photos and feature the gorgeous Honey & Spice papers from Heidi Swapp. I created a little cluster of banners for the top of the left page! Next up is another pocket page, paired with a photo pocket insert. The snowman card flips up to add more photos and stories! My next page is a flip page using strips from the Snowflake and Honey & Spice papers, I even made use of some of the branding strips to create a paper strip tree! The last set of page is a tuck page with a flip page. I love how they look together! I hope you find some of these pages useful for ideas for your December album or scrapbook pages! The December kit is so warm and lovely and perfect for winter and Christmas stories!!

Hi Everyone! Marie here today to share how I included some everyday memorabilia when I put together a Pocket Life page about my son. The first thing I did was to go through my April PL kit and pick out brightly colored cards and embellishments that would coordinate with my photos. Next I went through my son's belongings and picked out a few objects that describe him right now. For instance I stapled a Marvel clothing tag straight to one of the PL cards. I took a bookmark from school and added it in between my two pages (I included some journaling on the reverse side so it can be flipped back and forth). And finally for memorabilia that was too bulky to include in my pages such as his soccer ball and souvenirs, I simply took a picture of them and added the photo to another PL card. I love having pages like this that capture the little things in his life right now. I hope you've been having a great time working with your kits this month! Marie
Hello CTK friends! Emma back on the blog today to share this weeks Sunday Sketch. As you know, I do love the sketch challenges ;) First up, let's have a look at our fun sketch that we're working with: Our sketch is 12x12 but I haven't created one of those sized layouts for years now, so I had to get a little creative in down-sizing it to fit my Life Crafted album. Here's a look at the page I've put together: I've tried to keep to the similar design but just brought the side elements in closer together! Because the background was plain I thought I'd mix things up by using a little bit of the Vicki Boutin glaze along with the Carta Bella stencil (available in the store). I'm not big on using the mixed media goodies I have but every now and then I give them a try. I love how this adds a subtle pattern to my backing cardstock! Once my background had dried (the waiting for things to dry always gets me, I even used a heat-gun - just seems to take forever, ha) I started building my layers under my photo. I used a couple of tags included in the month's cut-aparts and layered them ontop of the tiny alphabet stickers included in this month's Life Crafted kit. I typed my journaling up on my computer and just picked a type-writer font. I've popped it at the top of my page to fill a bit of that white space. For the bottom of my page I tried to match the sketch - I went with the pink woodgrain paper (to match in with the pink tag I'd used) and added that cute coffee stamp/puffy sticker at the bottom left! Once my photo and journaling were in place I just added a few extra embellishments - I just love the puffy stickers included in the Life Crafted kit this month and they're a perfect match for this page about our new coffee shop! This little page came together in no time using the sketch! I love creating these pages for my Life Crafted album - it's such a fun and stress-free size to work with. I've filled one album already and already a few pages into my second! Really looking forward to buying the new plastic pockets so I can add a little variety to my album as well! Thanks so much for joining me on the blog today. I can't wait to see your pages using it. Be sure to share your page with us in the CTK Facebook Fanpage!
Hello. I hope you are all having a wonderful Sunday. Today I am sharing the Sunday sketch with you. I used the May Brighton kit and the add on kit to create my layout. There are so many products to choose from that I didn't know where to start but I quickly picked a color combo based on the Die cuts from Shimelle's collection. Here is a look at the sketch: Instead of using two photos I used one photo and a card which I cut out of one of the patterned papers from Shimelle Lane's collection. I kept the placement of the title and the embellishments as well as the added detail at the top right hand corner. I used the flower die cuts from Shimelle (Little By Little Paper Die-Cut Shapes (American Crafts)). I added a couple of Shimmer ink splatters to create flow like on the sketch. To play along with this week's challenge, create a layout inspired by the sketch, upload it to the Citrus Twist Kits Gallery with the sketch date (5/27) in the title, and you might win a $5 gift certificate to the CTK store.
