All other similar looking artwork is a knock off of the original design I created in 2007 (Chicago was the first!). ____________________ Graphic designer Jenny Be-ork-rem (hence "Ork" Posters) is the creator of the original typographic neighborhood map design. She began back in 2007 by designing a Chicago map for herself, seeking a modern take on the traditional look of maps. In late 2007, she experienced the "Swiss Miss effect" after her Brooklyn map was posted on the popular design blog, Swiss Miss (not the hot chocolate). After a successful holiday season, she was able to quit her full-time design job in early 2008 and work on Ork Posters full time. Ork now offers over 25 U.S. and international cities and Beorkrem continues to work on new designs so more and more people can show their love for their favorite cities.
