Nel nodo viario al centro della frazione, piazzale Camerlata, sorge una fontana monumentale intorno alla quale si snoda il traffico automobilistico e, un tempo, anche tranviario. L'opera, in calcestruzzo bianco, fu ideata nel 1935 da due comaschi: l'architetto Cesare Cattaneo e il pittore Mario Radice, quest'ultimo appartenente alla corrente dell'astrattismo. La fontana venne materialmente realizzata nel 1936, in occasione della sesta Triennale di Milano, fu esposta inizialmente nel Parco Sempione di Milano e venne accolta da commenti molto positivi della critica. Demolita nella seconda guerra mondiale, venne ricostruita nel 1960 a Como e posta nella posizione attuale, integrata in una delle piazze di accesso alla città. Damiano Cattaneo, figlio dell'architetto Cesare Cattaneo, definì la struttura un monumento al traffico, che va ammirato dal traffico.
