Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's Celebrate Sunflowers edition! The "Crew" is made up of a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Mike's blog (isn't he amazing?!), Stampin' Style, welcome! There are five of us today, so it will be a quick hop. I have two cards to share today, one of which I held back from a couple months ago because I knew this week's theme. This card was made for a friend's daughter, who loves sunflowers and is a Class of 2020 graduate. Well, we all know the disappointment of this year's graduates. She was feeling kind of bad that all the Senior activities had been canceled, so several of my stamping friends got the notion to send cards to the graduates who got short changed. I hope this card cheered her up a little. 💟 One of the things I love about the new In Color, Cinnamon Cider, is how well it coordinates with copper - so I kind of went all out on the copper, LOL! Not only is the Stitched Rectangle frame copper, but I use some of the gorgeous copper ribbon in the Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack, too. I'm hoarding conserving that stuff! The Dark Cinnamon Cider Stampin' Blends Marker was used to color the wood leaves from In Good Taste Elements. I carefully used the side, NOT the tip, of the brush end to add the color, and even those leaves ended up looking like copper! Between converting another stall in the barn to a chicken coop for the new pullets, installing deer-resistant fencing around the orchard and garden, processing the bounty from said garden, and planning the enclosure and shelter for the possible new residents coming in a few weeks(!), that's all I could make for today's hop, so jump on over to see what the always fabulous Charlet at Painted Orange has made!

CELEBRATING SUNFLOWERS STEP-BY-STEP Introducing one of the new bundles in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog... Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle which includes the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set and the Sunflowers Dies. For the first card, stamp the sunflower in Bumblebee ink and the leaves in Old Olive ink, then layer the die cuts to create lovely depth and dimension. Sprinkle a few 2020–2022 In Color Enamel Dots for a little extra “pop.” Then stamp the sentiment in Magenta Madness and you have a happy card in minutes! Step it up on the second card with more stamping and by sponging Cinnamon Cider and Old Olive ink on the images. Blend the colors on the cardstock with an Aqua Painter for a nice, even look. For our fanciest stepped-up project, we spritzed a Mini Paper Pumpkin Box with water and Just Jade ink. Next, we embellished the box with lots of fun layers and floral details, including cheerful-looking sunflowers. We finished with a cute baker’s twine bow made using the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack.
Sweet sketch over at freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com this week and I decided to heat emboss the sunflowers! It also worked out great for another entry in festivefridaychallenge.com with CAS design, Monochrome palette and floral theme plus stitching. I stamped the sunflowers three times from Celebrate Sunflowers on Night of Navy card stock in VersaMark ink and used white emboss powder. I cut them out with the matching die. I arranged them on the piece of In Good Taste DSP cut with the Stitched Rectangle die and layered on the Navy base. I stamped the sentiment on s trip of white card stock in Night of Navy ink. Good Morning, Stampers! Happy Monday! A happy Monday deserves a fun a happy card and I think these sunflowers definitely make me happy! Certainly worth celebrating, right?!! I added a combination of Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody inks using a blending brush and stamped the sentiment using Crumb Cake ink - stamping off first. I finished the card off with the flowers and leaves die cuts on top using Stampin' Dimensionals for added depth. Simple and easy to do! Do you like it too? I used Medium Daisy punch & punched out 3 white daisy's to make this flower. The center is actually the die from the Sunflower Dies. I used the stylus end of my Take Your Pick Tool & rubbed the back side of the circle to make it pop up a little. Check out the awesome NEW Lovely Labels Pick A Punch. You pick the length & the width of your card stock & punch the ends of it. Depending on how thick or thin your strip is will determine what the end actually looks like when it is punched. "Thanks a bunch" card with Magenta Madness gerbera flower made using the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set and coordinating Sunflowers Dies from Stampin' Up!
Finally got back to this Beautiful Sunflower Stamp Set and Sunflower Dies! Night of Navy Cardbase 8 1/2 x 5 1/2" Crushed Curry Layer 5 1/4 x 4" Misty Moonlight Layer 5 x 3 3/4" Wrap Ruched Daffodil Delight Ribbon around the Curry and Moonlight layers. Add Playing With Patterns DSP, cut out with the 4th from Largest Rectangle Die Stamp the Large Sunflower on a scrap piece of Whisper White with Tuxedo Black Momento Ink Using Seaside Spray, Night of navy Blends ( Light and Dark as shown) color the flower. The Center of the Sunflower use Dark Mango and Daffodil Delight Blends. Cut out using the sunflower die and attach over the DSP layer using Stampin Dimensionals. Add a Bow with the Daffodil Delight Rushed Ribbon Using a piece of 3/4 x 3" Whisper White Cardstock, Stamp the Greeting "Wishing You Well" from Gather Together Stamp Set. Use the Banners Pick a Punch to cut one end and Pop up on the bottom right of the card with Stampin Dimensionals. Add Blue Holiday Rhinestones if desired! Hope you like it! Tina

I wanted to share a neat project I created for this hop featuring the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set. I stamped onto a piece of Whisper White (12cm wide x 10 cm high) using Memento Black and then coloured using Stampin' Blends. I was going for a 'messy look' and purposely left some white space. I used Basic Black, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Just Jade and Smoky Slate blends. I love these alcohol markers!!! I then cut this into 3 equal strips (4 cm wide) and mounted onto a Daffodil Delight card base. The simple sentiment is taken from the Field of Flowers Stamp Set. I stamped using Versamark and heat embossed using White Embossing powder onto a piece of Basic Black cardstock. I really like how this turned out! Thank you so much for coming by today! Welcome to an all new Monday Montage Blog Hop! You won't want to miss a single creation from this amazing group of stampers! It's not very often that I can say one stamp set or bundle is my absolute favorite, but I absolutely LOVE the Celebrate Sunflowers bundle! I mean, what's not to love?!?! Beautiful sunflowers that you can color and coordinating dies that don't even require ink...be still my heart! You all know how much I love my Stampin' Blends, so of course that was my go-to coloring choice for these cute little flowers. Misty Moonlight was the perfect background color of choice to go with the sunny Daffodil Delight flowers and the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder added just the right amount of texture. I added a little splash of Granny Apple Green, some Misty Moonlight/Silver Bakers Twine and a few Rhinestone Jewels to finish the card off. We might not have been able to pre-order the beautiful new In-Color inks, but we were still able to get our hands on the paper. If you are a demonstrator, you probably saw a card very similar to this in one of the recent Succeed Weekly's. It just had to be CASE'd! This was a fun way to showcase ALL of the new 2020-2022 In-Color's. Just Jade was my color of choice for the card base, along with the fun polka dot pattern DSP. I cut the sunflower from Bumble Bee, adding a little texture using the Subtle embossing folder with Cinnamon Cider for the center. The sentiment was heat embossed on the bright and cheerful Magenta Madness for the perfect pop of pink! I did add just a touch of ink for the leaves, then topped with the delicate die cut leaves. I couldn't leave out Misty Moonlight on this card...a few In Color Enamel dots were just what the card needed! I know we are seeing so many great creations with this bundle and you can be sure that I will be creating more with it soon! Thanks for stopping by today! Now, on to the next stop on the hop! It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com. This week is a sketch challenge, and this is the sketch we had to work with: I had fun playing with some stamps that I don't own on the weekend. I had my annual team Stamp Camp retreat, and while I bring along all my stamps so everyone can use them, I tend to wander around and borrow everyone else's! I've had my eye on this Celebrate Sunflowers set, and now that I've played with it, I really really have my eye on it! These flowers stamp beautifully and really come to life when you add some colour. I used my Blends, in Mango Melody, Cinnamon Cider and Old Olive. The paper in the background is from the Gilded Autumn pack in the Mini Catalogue. I used the Tasteful Textile embossing folder to give it some more texture. Turning a sunflower into a large daisy using Stampin' Up!'s Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set and dies was SO easy! I was inspired by a daisy cake!
The Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set was still out on my desk, so I decided to use it for water-coloring. I naturally reached for my yellow ink pads, Crushed Curry and Daffodil Delight, but then I changed my mind and went for the purples, Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape. I ended up doing both. I really like how the Purple turned out, but I thought maybe the Yellow was more traditional. Which do you prefer? The purple version starts with a base of Purple Posy and a mat in Basic Gray. I added some of the new In Good Taste Designer Series paper for my background. The In Good Taste Designer Series Paper is sure to be a popular one. The pages are each photos of textured items such as wood planks or tiles, plaster and textiles. I show this paper in detail in the video below. I stamped the flowers in Black Stazon ink onto Water Color Paper. The flowers were painted with my Aqua Painter and inks. Here I used Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Old Olive and Smokey Slate. I decided to blacken the edges around the flowers to eliminate the Ivory color and to make the purples very bold. Some scattered sequins were added for some sparkle. This version uses Crushed Curry for the base, Early Espresso for the mat, and more of the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper for the background. The flowers were stamped in Saddle Brown Stazon Ink. I colored the flowers with Crushed Curry, Soft Suede and Old Olive. I added some gold thread and small gold metallic dots for more interest. This video show the stamps, dies and papers in more detail, and gives you tips on painting the flowers and putting the cards together. I hope you like it!
