Comment on joue ?
I've mentioned before the trouble I have making masculine cards...they fall outside my usual style loaded with frilly embellishments. And try as I might, clean and simple is hard for me to pull off...one of the reasons I so admire those who make such beautiful CAS cards. So when asked to make a masculine card, I made sure my friend knew of this, so she would be extra patient with me as I threw ideas her way. :) My friend decided this card, with the deeper masculine colors, and loaded with texture, was the one she wanted... The large "pocket" loaded with burlap, cheesecloth, patterned paper pieces, and corrugated cardboard is anchored at the top with a large dual toned button laced with burlap twine... At the other end of the pocket, the sentiment is stamped and sits inside a large metal decorative plate... At the top of the patterned papers and cardboard inside the pocket is a black metal clip adorned with a tiny key tied on with burlap twine... Supplies: Patterned papers: Authentique Gathering collection Tim Holtz Ornate Plate Hug Snug seam binding Creative Imaginations pewter gems Sentiment stamp: Hero Arts 7 Gypsies paper clip Miscellaneous: cheesecloth, burlap, corrugated cardboard, buttons, twine, key charm Thanks for visiting today!

This week's been a bit crazy, so I'm combining Mojo Monday with Punch art Wednesday. I am so glad I started playing with the Mojo Monday sketches. They make creating a card so very easy - taking the guesswork out of just how to put it all together. All I have to do is consider the stamps, colors & embellishments. The layout is done for me! I made a bouquet out of punches. This would make a great shower card....

. . igjen :) *** I am in the mood for vacation at the moment, and we have a lot of birthdays and celebrations in the family at this time of the year. I have made a card totally stripped for images and Copic coloring . . . again. *** My inspiration for the card was found on Pinterest, in Dorota's blog. You really should pay this blog a visit if you care for Shabby Chic. *** A close up to the flower arrangement. The DP's are Pion Design and the white hearts are made of paper mould - bought at Panduro Hobby. The doily is a Sizzix/TH On the Edge die Med dette kortet ønsker jeg dere ei fortsatt god helg ! *** With this card I wish you all a wonderful weekend ! A sketch can be a great starting point when you have the urge to create something .. .. but haven't got the foggiest idea where to start, or how you want your finished creation to look. So in the hope of providing a bit of inspiration when these foggy moments occur I am putting together a sketch library to act as a reference point. As I create more sketches they will be posted here .. .. .. feel free to use them if you would like to. These are my square sketches, but I have recently started a rectangular one too and you will find those on a separate tab. Don't forget that each sketch can be used in four ways. Firstly as you see it below and then if you keep rotating it you have another three versions to have a go at. Have fun if you decide to use one! Love Jules xx

Hi everyone and welcome to the first Friday Focus of 2016 here at Frilly and Funkie. This time the focus is on the paper collections from Maja Design and Pion Design, both of which are available from The Funkie Junkie Boutique with an extra 15% discount through January 21st. Nancy will be with you next Friday sharing why she loves working with these patterned papers so much. In the meantime here are a few of the beautiful creations she produced through 2015... This pair of wonderful Valentines hearts makes great use of the Maja Design Vintage Autumn Basics papers. Nancy combined ribbon with Pion Design Paris Flea Market papers to create the delicate layers on this fabulous card. This gorgeous set of thank you cards was created using Maja Design Vintage Spring and Summer Basics papers. And to show you don't have to just stick to making cards Nancy put together this amazing tag pocket mini album with Maja Design Coffee in the Arbour papers. And finally this beautiful Autumnal creation makes perfect use of the papers in the Maja Design Walking in the Forest collection. Make sure you look out for Nancy's follow up post next Friday and in the meantime there are links below to the collections showcased here, all stocked by The Funkie Junkie Boutique of course!
