Welcome a bonus edition of the Stamp Review Crew's blog hop! The "Crew" is made up of a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. This week the Crew is featuring Love What You Do, a thirteen piece photopolymer stamp set that is part of the beautiful Share What You Love Suite on page 177 of the annual catalog. I have two cards to share with you today The first one uses the Love What You Do DSP (love that stuff!) and the Pearlized Doilies and Artisan Pearls. After stamping the background with Crumb Cake, the flower sprig was stamped with Memento ink, and then stamped again on a scrap of Whisper White so I could fussy cut the flowers and pop them up on dimensionals for more depth. The image panel and greeting were die cut with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits that will be available next week. And of course I had to use some DSP to dress up the envelope flap! The second card is simply black and white to really let the embossed Lovely Floral image shine. And speaking of shine, the Black Foil Sheets used for the mat are carrying over, woohoo! The checkered background is from the Sale-a-Bration Botanical Butterfly DSP. It's lovely, with one side of each design in color and the back side in a black and white pattern. So many possibilities! I did dress up the envelope flap with the checkered pattern, but totally forgot to take a picture. Oops. You can see in this angled shot the subtle shine of the doily and the black foil. It's really gorgeous in real life. That's all I have for today; thank you for stopping by! Up next is Sue Plote at This Pink Rooster. I can't wait to see what she did with this suite. Or you can click the Previous button to go back to Linda Calahan's blog, Stampin' Seasons. Hi everyone! My name is Carolynn Sander. I am a Stampin' Up! Independent Demonstrator from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The TGIF Team is at it again with another inspirational colour combo! Come and visit the TGIF Challenges site and have fun creating with us! We would love to see how today's brights inspire you! I took a wee crafty break over the holidays so it was fun to get inky again! Today's card is pretty basic. I think it would be great for all levels of stampers. The Lasting Lily Stamp Set is so pretty that I didn't feel the need to overdo it today. What do you think? Less is more today is what I would say. I am sure I could have added in some dry embossing, or another layer to spice up today's card. But I liked it as is. If you have any thoughts on how you would spice up today's project feel free to leave a comment below! I'd love to hear from you! Thank you so much for visiting today! I hope that you leave here feeling a wee bit inspired. Remember to stop by the TGIF Challenges site to join in the fun this week! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Hello there! We only have 2 weeks left to Sale-A-Brate, and this week I'm going to be focusing on the gorgeous stamp set Lasting Lily as my PRODUCT OF THE WEEK. This is a Level 2 SAB reward that you can earn for FREE with a $100 order. This is a larger set with 16 stamps and features the amazing detail of the Distinctive design. I started with a Highland Heather base and ran it though the Big Shot using the Subtle Embossing Folder. I then stamped 2 leaves in the background using Pear Pizzazz ink onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock. I stamped 3 lilies with Daffodil Delight ink onto Whisper White Cardstock and cut them out with Paper Snips. I then stamped 2 leaves and 3 stems with Old Olive ink and cut them out with Paper Snips as well. The coordinating Lily Framelits have sold out, but these images are easy enough to cut out the old-school way:) I added a bit of shading to the center of the lilies with Pacific Point and Rich Razzleberry Watercolor Pencils. I then went over them with a Blender Pen to blend the colors slightly. I added the middle lily to the center with Dimensionals, and added the leaves with Glue Dots. I tucked the other 2 lilies behind the center one with Glue Dots. I then attached the 3 stems to the flowers with Glue Dots and trimmed off the excess at the bottom. I looped a piece of Gorgeous Grape Mini Striped Ribbon in a zigzag fashion and secured it in place with Glue Dots. I stamped the sentiment with Old Olive ink onto Soft Sea Foam Cardstock and used the Lily Framelits to cut them out. You could easily substitute ovals or another label die or punch that you have. I'll offer a substitute in my video later on today. Click on the Facebook link to the right to see it. Next, I tucked a piece of a Pearlized Doily under the ribbon and attached it with Glue Dots. You can get 2 packages of Pearlized Doilies as a SAB reward with a $50 order, but only for 2 more weeks! I layered the labels and attached them with Dimensionals. I finished it off with a few sequins from the Iridescent Assortment, using tiny drops of Liquid Tombow. My DEAL OF THE WEEK is the Old Olive Linen Thread from the Occasions Catalog. You'll get a roll for FREE with a $30 order through Sunday! If you bump up your order to $50 you'll earn a SAB product of your choice in addition. If you bump up your order to $100, you can pick the Lasting Lily stamp set for FREE! I'll be sharing lots of ideas all week long to give you inspiration:) If you place your $50 or $100 order online using HOST CODE: TFUBXAMU you'll earn a 💗 or two, helping you to earn a $50 Shopping Spree! Read all the details under the Rewards Program tab above. You can browse the catalogs by clicking on them to the right and you can shop from my Online Store by clicking on the 'Shop Now' button. Stop back tomorrow for another project featuring the Lasting Lily stamp set! Thanks so much for coming by:)

You may have just arrived from the wonderfully talented Kaylee Van Es' Blog. I just LOVE what she has created! I have the pleasure of sharing a few ideas using the Lasting Lily Stamp Set, along with the brand new coordinating Lily Framelits Dies (150071). Here's a look at the Lasting Lily Set if you haven't seen it yet. I'm telling you guys, these dies are amazing! Not only do they make cutting out and layering your floral images so easy for all levels of crafters, but there are additional dies that are designed to perfectly fit the sentiments in this set. You can see one of them showcased in the card below. One of the things I love about this set is how much dimension is achieved by simply stamping a single image. These are Distinktive stamps which means they are designed to add texture and dimension all in one stamp. You can see in the image below how I've used one of the textured stamps in this set and some Smokey Slate Ink to create a subtle background. For my treat box, I followed the same layout but made it to fit the adorable little Mini Pizza Boxes. I used the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder to add a layer of texture and interest. I used Bermuda Bay Ink and Highland Heather Ink to create my two-toned lily's. It's a very simple technique, but so fun and creates a gorgeous ethereal effect. Here's how you do it: Stamp your image in the Bermuda Bay Ink onto Whisper White Cardstock. Ink up your Sponge Dauber in Highland Heather Ink and dab it onto the edges of the lily image. Then just stamp your image for a lovely two-toned look. To finish off this cards, I added some sequins from the Iridescent Sequin Assortment and some White Baker's Twine. Here's a close up of the first card: This coordinating products are so fun and inspiring! I hope you have enjoyed all of today's cards and designs (full list of supplies below). This morning I should have been hopping with the Inkin' Krew but I totally forgot that my card was to be made using a color challenge. Needless to say, I couldn't be part of the hop. I didn't even have it written down on my planner...boo, hiss! Next Thursday, I'll do better. So what was occupying my mind this week? Glad you asked...I was getting ready to host our card group and I was making up kits for 9 ladies...4 kits each AND two of the kits were custom made as I let them pick the colors they wanted to use. We had a special guest, Jari Francis, a former Inkin' Krew member...what a delight! We all enjoyed Chicken Spinach Tortellini soup and a spinach, beet, orange, sunflower seed salad. Chocolate cookies and lemon cookies were compliments of my sister-in-law. The card I'm showing you tonight was my demo card. I CASEd Amy's card, which you can see here...and now mine... My card base is Highland Heather with a mat of Gingham Gala DSP in the same color. The art panel was stamped in Highland Heather and Mint Macaron. I used my Stamparatus to line up all the images. I then ran the art panel through my Big Shot, using the Subtle DTIEF (Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder). I wrapped a piece of matching Organdy ribbon around the panel and mat once they were adhered together. Then I adhered that to the card base. To finish off the card front, I used my Layering Ovals Framelits and Stitched Shapes Framelits for the sentiment and mat. Because stitching is involved, I decided to play at Alphabet Challenge Blog: U is for Use Some Stitching-Real or Faux. Karen has an All About Occasions Challenge at Watercooler Wednesday where I am playing too. Thank you for stopping by and if you would like further info about how I made the card, just let me know in a comment.
