Creating with this whimsy Stampin' Up! Way to Goat stamp set was so much fun! They make me smile every time I look at these adorable goats. I also used the Field of Flowers Bundle to create a happy environment for my goat! I used sponge brayers with Pear Pizzazz ink for the field and Balmy Blue ink for the sky. The larger of the two sentiment pieces, I also used my brayer with Pear Pizzazz ink. I stamped the Field of Flowers Grass and stems with Pear Pizzaz, stamped the flowers on a scrap of Whisper White with the new Magenta Madness ink and punched those out with the Confetti Flowers Border punch. (This is part of the Field of Flowers Bundle) and adhered half the flowers with glue and the other half with dimensionals. Both sentiment shapes were made with the new Lovely Labels Pick a Punch. My goat was stamped on Whisper White cardstock and fussy cut out. I highlighted some of the areas with the light Grey Granite Stampin Blends marker, and then stamped the grass over her hoofs and adhered her with dimensionals to make her pop out a bit. 🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐 Then for a more masculine Way to Goat card I chose two of the new In Colors for 2020-2022, Cinnamon Cider and Misty Moonlight. I knew I wanted to create some chomp marks on this card - so I looked for something small with some sort of jagged edges - and came up with a small flower die from the Budding Blooms Dies - I think it makes a pretty nice bite mark! Again - I stamped my darling goat on Whisper White Cardstock and fussy cut him out and gave it just a bit of shading with the light Grey Granite Stampin' Blends. I had some more fun with the inside of this card as well! Does that goat look guilty ?!?! Imagine how much more fun you could have with this stamp set!! I had lots of fun playing with the Way to Goat stamp set at Stamp Camp. I made 3 cards, using all 3 images in this colourway - Soft Sea Foam, Grey Granite and a touch of copper. I also used vellum on all my cards....I love the softness it brings. I used the Stitched Shapes dies to frame this cute guy and coloured him in with my Blends. I'm not sure what dance he is performing, but he sure looks like he is enjoying himself! Happy Monday and welcome back to Gal Friday Stamping! This week I will be focusing on the "Way to Goat" Stamp Set. Why you may ask? I am a Long Island girl, born and raised. I never thought I would live anywhere else until I met my husband (thru E-Harmony by the way, but that is a story for another day!). When we met he lived in PA. on a 10 acre farm and for me that was perfect because I love wide open spaces and animals. Times for us were tough at times so to try and earn a living we decided we would purchase goats, not befriend them and sell them for meat, it was a big thing in our area. But after about three days we Just. Couldn't. Do.It! Changing our minds meant changing the plan, so we invested in milk goats and the herd grew. Long story short, we had 52 goats ranging in all sizes and we milked. Boy did I love them. Milking and taking care of them was hard work but oh so worth it! I began making cheese with the milk but found that the work and hours that I was putting in and the regulations for selling it was not very lucrative so I decided to try my hand in soaps and lotions (pardon the pun). Wow! What a success story that turned out to be. We lived off the income to our sale for 2 years and it got us on the right road. So if you every see the [email protected] email, that is where it came from because I still use it today. With that being said, when I saw this new stamp set in the Annual Catalog I go so excited! I love goats and did I mention I miss mine dearly! Way to Goat is a fun and whimsical stamp set that I am going to showcase this week along with all the new In Colors. And Friday's FB live will be a technique that you will not want to miss! Just for the record....no they do not eat tin cans, but they do love the glue used to adhere the labels! Here is last weeks showcase. Using Blossoms in Bloom. Don't forget to sign up for my Birthday Club because I get a chance to celebrate YOU! SHOP HERE PDF TUTORIALS FACEBOOK INSTAGRAM PINTEREST
