I used Stippled Blossoms and Flower Shop to make this card made with my favorite color, Coastal Cabana, for the Creative Crew June Challenge. The challenge was “Show us your favorite color. Try it in a color combo you haven’t used before!” I absolutely love Coastal Cabana. I didn’t realize it till I found myself ... CONTINUE READING

I love how simple and effective this card is. I have made these flowers before and thought I would go for a different look this time, something with a bit of "wow factor".

Who knew that Mixed Bunch would become my favorite set out of the Occasions Mini Catalog? I sure didn't, but it definitely has! It's so versatile, especially when combined with the Blossom Punch, to make all sorts of beautiful paper flower embellishments! CASEd from Stampin' Success Magazine & Jodi Geers...
I hope you all enjoyed yesterday’s quick review of my favourite projects from this year. I’m back with my favourites from the second half of the year – and this will be trickier …
One of the stamp sets I really wanted to order from the Occasions mini was Mixed Bunch. Love bold flower images and with a coordinating punch what could be better? I had to wait since this set was the one...

It's blog hop time with The Stamp Review Crew and this week we are showcasing the Mixed Bunch stamp set. If you are following along on the hop you may have joined me from the lovely Lisa Young or you may have started here with me. Either way you are in for a treat to see the creativity and imagination of myself and all of the other Stamp Review Crew. If you get lost on the hop Click here or click on the banner at the top of the post and this will give you the list of all the 'hoppers' in The Stamp Review Crew. I must admit that this stamp set has thrown me a little bit. I think in my mind I'm still in Christmas card mode and just couldn't quite think beyond that. I really had to make a mental shift in my mind to do something non-Christmas! I've made three cards for this hop and let me just say that my first card started out VERY different in my mind than what I actually created. Originally this card was going use Crisp Cantaloupe and Night of Navy and have stamping on a window sheet with some colouring with the Blendablilities but it just wasn't working. I don't know how my original idea changed to this one but I just started playing and this one worked. Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog My next card uses the beautiful Flowerpot DSP. I thought it would go nicely with the 'flower' theme of the Mixed Bunch stamp set I do love to use my layers! I have used it a few times but I do love how you can fold the stunning Mossy Meadow Ribbon to look like leaves. I really love this ribbon! So pretty! Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog My last card is a quick and easy card. I masked off part of the card so I could stamp the Hardwood Stamp in the section across the middle, sponge around the edges and then added the rest of the elements of the card. The flowers was coloured with the Cherry Cobbler Blendabilies just to give it another element. Today I had the good fortune to be helping out at a Learning at Work day – where employees get to have “taster” sessions of different skills and pastimes. (If you were there today and are stopping by my blog for the first time then “Hi”, it was lovely to meet you ). At my cardmaking […]
Hiya! I'm sad to say that this week is my last week on the ColourQ design team. Life has gotten very full over the last few months and there are other things I need to prioritise with the time that I have available so I had to make the choice to step away from some things, one of which is the wonderful ColourQ team. I have had such fun being a part of the Royal Court and and very grateful to Arielle for inviting me to join in the first place! So here are this week's colours... And here's my card... I used the current Viva la Verve sketch for my layout... Make sure you check out the wonderful inspiration from the rest of the Royal Court! Thanks for stopping by... x Amy x
INKspired Artists Blog Hop Hi everyone and welcome again to my blog. This week is our 10th"INKspired Sketch Bog Hop.Wow how time flies when your having fun! This week's challenge really had me needing to think outside the square. Every time I looked at the sketch all I could see was a really lovely christmas card that my very talented up-line Teneale Williams had made. I started looking at the lovely " Something borrowed DSP" from the New Occasions Catalogue and my card started to come together from there. I also used a couple of different stamp sets this week for the flower and the sentiment. I really had fun with this sketch and hope you enjoy playing along to the sketch too! You may have arrived here from Maree's blog, or if it's your first stop please be sure to ‘hop’ to all the other talented INKsired Team Members! Thanks for stopping by! It's my favorite time of the week, Muse challenge day! I usually avoid posting challenges at the last minute, but I kind of like spending Saturday morning writing my post, looking at all the other links, and voting on my favorites while sipping on coffee. Much more relaxing than my usual midnight posts! This week's muse, Marion Vagg, provided us with gorgeous inspiration. I loved the white embossing, and the blues, so I pulled out some of my favorite retired blues from SU. Why are they retired? They don't look tired at all. They're fresh as a daisy. I know, cheesy, but seriously, I really miss these colors so really enjoyed playing with them. Here's Marion's inspiration card: Thanks for stopping by, T Supplies SU: tempting turquoise, ballet blue, brilliant blue and cool Caribbean cardstock, mixed bunch flower stamp, 3/8" circle punch, white craft ink, PTI: white cardstock, signature greetings II Other: detail white embossing powder, smooch pearlized top coat

Here's another Make 'n Take card from a recent workshop. Generally these are kept fairly simple so that the guests can make two different Make 'n Take cards as part of the evening's activities. Therefore these are the type cards that lend themselves to you quickly making multiples if you need to build up your card stash for upcoming card-sending occasions. I love this color scheme of Baja Breeze, Poppy Parade with a touch of Lucky Limeade and Whisper White! Of course, it comes straight from the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper print which is used on this card! The "Happy Birthday" is from the Perfectly Penned set of 4; this is one of my favorite set because I just love the script and the size. The flower has two layers; the bottom is Poppy Parade punched out with the new Blossom Punch in the Occasions 2012 Mini. The top layer is a flower from the Mixed Bunch set (#125537) stamped in Poppy Parade on Whisper White card stock then punched with the Blossom Punch. The center is again from the Mixed Bunch set, stamped in Baja Breeze and punched with the 3/4" Circle Punch. In the center is a brad from the Sale-A-Bration bonus Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad Pack which is FREE with a $50. order of Stampin' Up! merchandise!! The top background is a piece of Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper layered onto Lucky Limeade cardstock. (this is also a free Sale-A-Bration bonus product! Love it!) At the far end of this piece is Lucky Limeade Twine wrapped Although you can't see it in the picture, we used the Simply Scored Tool to make an impression 1/4" above the lower front edge to finish off our design. Thanks for coming by for a visit! Remember that Sale-A-Bration lasts only until March 31 so be sure to place your order soon to earn your FREE Sale-A-Bration bonus products!! There's nothing like FREE, especially when they are such nice products: brads, ribbon, Designer Paper, buttons, digital CDs for MDS, a number of stamp sets and even a Decor Elements item for your home decor! Thanks for coming by today for a visit!! Hope to see you again soon! Margaret

Here are a couple of cards I made with the pansy bundle. I used the in color DP from last year that I like so much. It was fun to work with those colors again, as I have been making so many fall and Christmas cards lately. I used SU's Trust God stamp set.....such a pretty font!
I've been busy having fun preparing for a class this Friday. I like to have some ideas for the ladies to see beyond what we make so I made some additional samples using the same stamp sets. I am so pleased and delighted to say that Rosemary chose my card for a Honorable Mention in last weeks challenge at Casology so this card is also dedicated to the Casology DT's too. Thanks guy's !x This weeks challenge at Less is More is a sketch and this weeks Casology cue card is CARE so it fitted in perfect as I had been looking for ideas to do a thank you card for a local chemist. My youngest suffers from a severe peanut allergy and last week he went to one of those all you can eat buffets with friends and although he read all the ingredients, we think through cross contamination (a spoon being placed back in the wrong place maybe) on his way home he started to react and by the time he got home he was bright red, the rash had appeared, but luckily this time his airways stayed clear but he went into shock and it was due him failing to take his epipen ,(he had no where to put it was his excuse...well thanks to Suze of cantstopcrafting he has no excuse as she has now made him a pocket that can be moved from jacket to jacket thanks Susan !!) so it was a trip to hospital until 3.00 a.m but the thank you card isn't for Susan though she deserves one too, have something else for her -oh no there is more to this tale my son is also off on a trip to Cambodia with the school and needed jabs and the card is for the chemist where he was getting them ,they spotted that he had stared to react again 48 hrs after the first one and quickly sorted him out and refused to let us leave until they were sure that he was o.k and also gave him free drinks and food...now that's what you call a caring service! But one I'd gladly do without again I must admit!!!! If you have stayed with me through all that ....onto my card! I love the look of Jen's kraft cards but I don't like mine they just look bland, so decided to use a cream base (which looks a lot richer cream in RL) and sahara sand ink from SU with just touches of white and actually liking this colour combo!Had meant to round the edges of the centre panel but stuck it down before I remembered - doh! The stripy paper is from pink petticoat and the flower and flourish are from SU Now off to do the online shop that I was meant to be doing before I got side tracked! Thanks for taking the time to look and read hee he ....it's much appreciated !x
I had LOTS of fun making LOTS of cards last week! First I went to an SU workshop and we made two cards. We meet every month, and I haven't been able to make it all winter, so it was a treat to go! Then, a few days later, I went to a SU card buffet. I chose these five cards to make: Then I went to a friends house and a bunch of us made more cards: Now that's ALOT of cards!
I am happy to be home after the SU Convention- it was fun but crowded! I loved hanging out with some great friends and learning how to better serve my wonderful stamping crew with my love of the qu…

Hi Stamping Friends!! I can't believe it's been two weeks since I posted last! Time sure flies when you're busy hauling kids around!! :) It's swim season right now which means lots of practices and lots of meets. And this has been one of the coldest swim seasons. There is nothing worse than having to be a "timer" at a swim meet when it is cold and rainy and kids are splashing you when they dive in the water!!! Just want to remind you that there is still 10 days left to participate in the Stampin' Inspiration Challenge. We hope you will play along with us!! If you missed the Design Team blog hop for this challenge, then you are going to want to check out all this Stampin' Up! goodness! Stampin Celebration Inspiration Challenge I was so excited to get a new recruit during Sale-A-Bration. Lori called me out of the blue after finding me on the SU! demo finder. We finally had her first workshop yesterday. I haven't done a workshop at someone else's house in quite a while. It was nice to let someone else clean and get the snacks together!! Here are two of the cards I demoed for Lori and her friends. OVAL ALL Stamps: Oval All Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Lucky Limeade, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Summer Smooches DSP Accessories: Beautiful Butterflies die, Tulip Frame EF, Perfect Polka Dots EF, Razzleberry Grosgrain, Scallop Oval Punch, Oval Punch, Basic Pearls I've used this layout before and love it, so I thought I would use it again. Actually, it is a great card to showcase the Big Shot, since it uses dies and embossing folders. And Lori was interested to see how the Big Shot worked. I love the Summer Smooches DSP. It's so colorful and cheerful. Perfect way to brighten up a rainy day! So glad it will be in the new catalog in June. You can order it now, through April 30th. MIXED BUNCH Stamps: Mixed Bunch, Bring On The Cake Paper: Daffodil Delight, Whisper White Accessories: Blossom Punch, Circle Punch, Button, Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon, Dimensionals This is very similar to a card I posted previously. I just changed the sentiment, added the ribbon, and used Lucky Limeade instead of Basic Black. I love the Mixed Bunch stamp set and wanted to show it off. Actually, I love any stamp set that has a matching punch. I'm a sucker for all things matchy-matchy. Must be why I love Stampin' Up! products so much!! I'm hoping I will post again before 2 weeks flies by. Funny thing is I have plenty of card pics on my computer just waiting to share with you. Now if someone would just post them to my blog!! :) Also looking forward to stamping with my club gals in the very near future. Can't wait to show them the new purse die!!! Remember, you can also find me on Facebook. I post more updates and reminders on Facebook than I do here. It's just faster and easier!! :) So be sure to "like" my page: Krystal's Cards - Stampin' Up (there is a link in my sidebar). And if you are a Pinterest fan like myself, you can also "follow" me there. I have over 3,000 "pins". Most of which are Stampin' Up! related ideas. Thanks for stopping by! Happy Stamping!
