I have been posting a lot of projects that featured the Sweet Talk suite from the new January – June Mini catalog but today I wanted to share a different bundle. The Amazing Silhouettes Bundle is a great example of how you can see something in a catalog and think it doesn’t appeal to you but then you see something created with it or somehow get it, I got the stamp set as a prize during Onstage at Home in November. I don’t know that I would have purchased this set just from seeing it in the catalog but now that I have it, I love it! It is perfect for a fast, simple yet great looking card. Here is what I came up with… The card base is Soft Succulent cardstock that is cut to 4 ¼ x 11” and scored at 5 ½” (so this card opens from the bottom up). I added a layer of Basic White cardstock that measures 4 1/8 x 5 3/8” and a layer of the Soft Succulent DSP from the 2012 – 2013 In Colors that measures 4 x 5 ¼”. I stamped my image from the Amazing Silhouettes bundle onto a piece of White cardstock that measures 2 ½ x 5” using Soft Succulent ink. I then used the dies from the bundle to cut my words (I love that these dies have a silhouette background) I cut the background for the word “thanks” from Basic White cardstock and the word itself from Soft Succulent cardstock and attached the two. I added it to the front of my card using Mini Dimensionals. And there you have it, fast, simple and easy. For the inside of my card, I added a piece of Basic White cardstock that measured 4 x 5 ¼” and I added a little strip of the DSP on the bottom that measures ¾” x 4” (note: this is what I cut off the bottom of the piece I used on the front of the card as this paper is 6 x 6”). I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it. As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below. I had three friends join me to watch the Making A Difference for Ukraine demonstration on Friday, April 1. We enjoyed seeing the cards the Stampin' Up!™ employees presented and listening to them banter as they worked. Of course, we did some laughing and talking too! You can watch a recording of the presentation yourself if you sign on to Facebook and go to Sara's page at Sara Douglass, Stampin' Up! CEO. Just scroll down a bit in the posts and you'll see the recording. I donated the fee I would have normally charged for the cards my ladies made....

This week I'm showcasing my talented Flowerbug's Team swaps with their monochromatic cards. First up is Karen's card; she used the Amazing Silhouettes stamp set; seen here in the new Jan-June catalog. She stamped the floral image three times on her White CS using Evening Evergreen ink. The last one is stamped on Vellum and fussy cut. She added a double tag die-cut from the Tailored Tags dies along with a bow in Soft Succulent ribbon. Next is a pretty...

I saw this Stampin' Up! Stampin' Write Marker watercolour technique recently on the Stampin' Up! Instagram Page. I remember doing this many many years ago so I thought it was time to share it again in a Recent Video. I paired it with the Amazing Silhouettes and Flowing Flowers stamp set images that I stamped using the Stamparatus to be able stamp the images more than once. I added Iridescent Rhinestones to bring the Rainbow of colours together. Here is how the technique comes together - With Stampin’ Write Markers, a Stampin’ Spritzer filled with water, and a clear block, you can quickly create beautiful watercolors. Here you can see a watercolor rainbow, created by drawing the appropriate colors with the markers on the clear block, moistening them with a Stampin’ Spritzer, and printing them on Shimmery White or Watercolor Paper. As you probably know, I love blue, in all its shades. This is Night of Navy and Misty Moonlight, our 2 deepest blue tones. I sponged both ink colours directly on to the rubber stamp from Amazing Silhouettes and I love the mottled effect. I chose some paper from Pattern Party that reflects the stamped design nicely. And a sentiment embossed in White powder and a White twine bow is the finishing touch Thanks for visiting! Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's AMAZING SILHOUETTES edition! The "Crew" is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Mike's blog, Stampin-Style, welcome! The Amazing Silhouettes cling stamp set only has three stamps, but they are so versatile, especially when paired with the Amazing Thanks Dies. To give you an idea of how easy it is to make a fab card with this bundle, my mom just arrived yesterday for a two week visit. Needless to say, while my house is relatively clean most of the time, it isn't "mom clean", so I was busy deep cleaning all this week, and hadn't time to make my projects. These two cards were made after Mom went to bed tonight (Sunday night). So while I didn't have time to write a pithy post, at least I did get two cards made! That's all I have to share for today, so click "Next" to see what my friend Charlet at Painted Orange created, or "Previous" to visit Mike again!

Hello my crafting friends, Today I would like to share with you three fun techniques you can try with the Amazing Silhouettes Stamp Set. I created these cards for Stampin’ Up! to share on their Facebook & Instagram Accounts. Each card shows a different technique. The first is to create a watercolor background, then stamp the image on top. This gives the silhouette a softer look and can add some fun colors to the open area. The second tip is to stamp the image and then draw an outline around the open area. This gives a more whimsical look to the image. I love how the drawn line doesn’t need to be perfect and gives the image a whole different look. The third is to use a emboss resist technique to color inside the open space with Stampin’ Write Markers. Make sure to check out the step by step instructions or video below. You can do this with an ink pad or Stampin’ Write Marker. Spritz it will a little water with a Stampin’ Spritzer and press down on to your cardstock. Repeat with another color until your desired effect is achieved, let dry. I used Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather, and Polished Pink Stampin’ Write Markers. 2- Stamp your image on top once it has dried. I used Misty Moonlight. Cut out with a 2” circle from the Layering Circles Dies. 3- Emboss your 4” x 5 ¼” Basic White piece with the Stitched Greenery Die. Add the two Misty Moonlight stitched rectangles across to create a long rectangle. They can overlap in the center or you can cut them down. 4- Wrap with 20” of Twine and tie a bow on the right side. Add this to the cardbase. 5- Add the main image in the center with dimensionals. 6- Stamp your greeting on a ½” strip and trim the edges to create a banner. Add to the card with dimensionals at the bottom of the main image. 7- Add three embellishments. Card #2 – Adding a Line Drawing over the image. 1- Stamp the image on to a light color cardstock cut with a stitched rectangle die. I used Garden Green ink on Soft Sea Foam Cardstock. 2- Then traced the image with a darker Stampin’ Write Maker, I used Misty Moonlight. You don’t need to perfectly trace the image. 3- Emboss your 4” x 5 ¼” Basic White piece with the Stitched Greenery Die. Add it to the cardbase. 4- Wrap 20” of twine around the bottom of the stamped image and tie a bow on the right side. Add to the center of the cardbase with dimensionals. 5- Stamp your greeting on ½” strip and cut the words up. Add above the bow with dimensionals. 6- Add three embellishments. Card #3 – Emboss Resist 1- Stamp the image with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder on Basic White Cardstock. 2- Then added color to the open area inside the stamp with Stampin’ Write Markers. I began with the lightest color Misty Moonlight at the top and worked down to the darkest, Just Jade, Garden Green, then Evening Evergreen. Take a soft, lightly damp cloth and wipe off the ink from the white embossed area. Then fussy cut out. 3- Emboss your 4” x 5 ¼” Basic White piece with the Stitched Greenery Die. Add it to the cardbase. 4- On the Just Jade Stitched Rectangles, stamp the image a couple times to create a subtle texture. Add to the center of the cardbase. 5- Add the embossed image to the center with dimensionals. 6- Stamp your greeting on Basic White cardstock and cut out a banner shape on the right side. Add over the trunk with dimensionals. 7- With 10” of twine create a bow and adhere it with glue dots in the top left corner of the greeting. Add three embellishments. If you would like to watch me create these cards with step by step tips and directions please watch this video: If you need any product to make these cards, please visit my online store: http://www.stampinup.com?demoid=2042902 Have a creative day, Chelsey [email protected]

Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is monochromatic cards - choose one color plus white/vanilla. It's feeling like Spring here, so my first thought was GREEN! The grass is starting to grow again, the daffodils are blooming, and I'm itching to get the garden going, so I have green on my mind. The Amazing Silhouettes stamp set made this card quick and easy. I stamped the tree in Garden Green and matted it on matching cardstock. The ombre background was created with Garden Green ink and a Blending Brush. Cutting the greeting with the coordinating Amazing Thanks Dies was easy, and popping it up on dimensionals makes it pop. That's all for today - see you next Saturday! If you're like me you have lots of Designer Series Paper that you feel guilty using, because you like both sides of the papers and can only use one on your card. Well, feel guilty no more! I have a great card for you that is easy to make, is a "WOW" card, and uses BOTH sides of the paper. Take a look: One of my very favorite new Designer Series Papers, See a Silhouette, and I get to use both sides! LOVE! I started with a piece of DSP that is 5-1/2" x 11-1/2". It is scored at 4" 6-3/4" and 9-1/2", and then you have to decide which side of the paper will be the showcase on the inside of the card. I decided to have the leaf design on the small flap on front and the beautiful "night sky" on the inside. All you need for the card base is a piece of cardstock cut to 4-1/4" x 5-1/2"; here I used Pretty Peacock. See that glossy stamping? So easy to do with the Stamparatus! Stamp once in your ink color of choice (I used Pretty Peacock). Then clean the stamp and re-stamp it with Versamark ink. Add Clear Embossing Powder and heat set--you can emboss in any of our ink colors! Another LOVE! When opened, the card is looonng....but this is when you can get the full effect of the DSP. And you have several options for decorating. I chose to use two panels. The first is 1-1/2" x 5"; the other is 2-1/2" x 5". You just want to be sure to adhere them all the way to the score line on the left, so the panel doesn't show when the card is closed. Here's the back: What a great way to showcase your DSP! Want another sample? I made this one using the same directions: Same DSP, with a Silver Foil card base. And again, using the Versamark over ink technique, I was able to get Night of Navy embossing: and I embossed the rest with Silver embossing powder. I also chose to add more panels to this inside; there are two of the smaller ones, and two of the larger. It covers up more of the DSP, but allows you to add many more stamps. Pull out some of your DSP and try this...I know you'll love getting to see both sides of your pretty paper! Today I have a card to share with you using some new products from the upcoming Janauary - June 2022 Mini Catalog & Sale-A-Bration Brochure! I created this card for my December 2021 in-person
A few weeks ago I needed to say a lot of thank yous to my customers for February orders so I started looking at some supplies and seeing what I could use to make the same design but varying the colors and papers. I needed 25 cards so I knew I didn't have enough of one DSP pattern to do the exact same design for all of them. I came across a fun design on Instagram by a New Zealand demo using the Sunshine & Rainbows DSP and the Amazing Thanks dies. See Angela's card here. As with any good CASE I changed up a few things. Some changes I made were using a different embossing folder in the background, shortening up the lengths of the DSP strips to 3x3 so I could get 4 cards out of each piece of 6x6, adding ribbon knots instead of bows in the corner, doing 2 layers for the thanks die cut instead of one and then adding the little extra sentiment strip from Ornate Thanks. I just turned on Netflix and started cranking pieces through the die cutter. And then I kept watching Netflix to put them all together! Here are all the different designs I ended up with. So thanks to Angela for the awesome inspiration for a fun design! Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today?
