It’s super exciting to introduce you to the NEW Stampin’ Up! In Colors 2022-2024 PLUS a new DIY card idea. Make 10 cards in 20 minutes!
Today's project began with a card sketch challenge, and developed into a thank you card. I was delighted to see how the Sending Smiles flowers fit the sketch. Note of thanks Here is the sketch by
Just a quick post today! Happy Thursday! I am still making thank-you cards; this one uses the FMS sketch by Jen Mitchell: I went with a regular A2 card instead of a square one, using my favorite pattern from All Abloom and the floral image from Hello Darling: I stamped it in So Saffron, did a little embossing down the left side as well as some paper piercing, and added a sentiment in Mossy Meadow. I added a little MM ribbon too, just to add a wee bit of interest! Cassidy tried to husk corn for the first time yesterday: When she asked what the brown silk was, Grampy showed her what his grampy used to do to him!!! And her reaction: Silly grampy! Enjoy your day! January 17, 2018 I had to show you another cute card with the snazzy little birds from Bird Banter. Of course, it was so fun to make because I LOVE the streakless coloring I can do with my Stampin&…
Hiya! After a busy couple of weeks prepping for classes, I had a bit of time on Saturday evening to have a play with some goodies, and the first card I made used the inspiration and sketch from this week's Fusion Card Challenge... I translated the colours from the inspiration pic into Bermuda Bay, Strawberry Slush, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Wild Wasabi for a very tropical-feely card... I stamped the images from Summer Silhouettes on Whisper White, first inking them up with Versamark, then before stamping I inked with the classic ink pad. This means the ink stays sticky for long enough to emboss with clear EP. I also over-stamped the leaves with Versamark and double embossed (because the second stamping was slightly off-set it gave a cool highlight effect. After stamping and embossing I sponged over the top with Bermuda Bay ink, all over the Whisper White panel, then wiped off any excess ink. To get the mottled effect, I flicked water over the top and dabbed with a piece of paper towel... very cool effect hey?! (Thanks Hayley for the tutorial on ink-flicking at training... I adapted what you showed us to try it with water to remove ink rather than add it!) I stamped the pattern from the same set under the flowers with Bermuda Bay (can you see it between the ribbon and dsp?) for one of the strips from the sketch. I stamped some flowers and leaves on Whisper White and cut out with my paper snips, added some Daffodil Delight ribbon and layered the flowers over the top with a couple of rhinestones in the centres. The dsp layer is from Quatrefoil Fancy and I added a sentiment flag underneath (from Apothecary Art). Hope you have an awesome week ahead! Thanks for stopping by... x Amy x
Today's Create With Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is Christmas in July, and I've been seeing lots of holiday magic previews from the new Jul-Dec Mini catalog. It's the (second) most wonderful time of the year! My card today features the absolutely adorable Sweet Little Stockings bundle. Isn't that little pup face peeking out of the stocking too cute?! Can't you just imagine the squeals of delight when the kids see something like that? Notice the White Glittered Organdy Ribbon? It's hard to see in the photo, but so pretty in real life! I paired this bundle with the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder and Dies. It looks so festive and really gets me in the mood for my upcoming Twelve Days of Christmas in July later this month. *wink* That's my share for today. I'm back! I still had this adorable set on my desk, and was inspired after seeing the picture from this weeks Cure For The Monday Blues Challenge #12. Check out the inspiration picture: I just had to use Sweetie Pie and Sweetie Frames to play along with this challenge! I stamped my frames and faces in Memento Tuxedo Black. I colored the images with Spectrum Noir, Copic, and Promarkers. I have a little bit of everything! I kept the design pretty simple, and I am thrilled with the end result! I am happy you stopped by (again), and I hope you have a wonderful day!!

Hi everyone, Some of you know that I am a member of the Pootles team. Every time there is a new catalogue we arrange a card swap where we are all allocated a group of 6 demos and we make 6 identical cards to send to each other. The aim is to use new products to make cards to inspire each other. Today I am showing you the card I made for my group. I was so excited when we first got the new catalogue and I saw that there was a new, smaller daisy punch. I have loved the larger daisy punch since it was first introduced a couple of years ago but a smaller one is going to be so useful. There is a new stamp set to go with the punch which also coordinates with the larger punch - how fab is that? Of course these come as a bundle and if you buy this you save 10% off the individual prices. I used the Subtle embossing folder on the Crumb Cake background panel - this is not new but is a really useful product to have in your stash - makes such a difference to your cards. As well as the new bundle, I used one of the new Stitched labels and the leaf stamp from the Floral Essence stamp set - the leaf coordinates with the Leaf Punch. So great how Stampin' Up! does that! Would you like to see how I made my card? Hop over to my You Tube channel to watch my video by CLICKING HERE or on the image below: Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you like my card! Wow, it feels like forever since I posted, but it's really only been a couple weeks--crazy! I was sick for almost 2 weeks, and with the holidays in between, blogging went to the bottom of my "to do list". We purposefully postponed our blog hop until today because the new Occasions Catalog goes live today. It's time to Celebrate the Everyday! You are going to love the products in this catalog, they are just so much fun! I was able to make a few projects with some of the items in the Occasions catalog, so check these out. If you've followed my blog for any length of time, you know that I'm all about modern and bold, so these card shouldn't surprise anyone. I love the masculine look of this card. I used Kaleidoscope DSP, Starburst Sayings and the Starburst framelits die along with Smoky Slate, Basic Black and Real Red card stock. It's an easy card, but I will definitely need to wear my glasses the next time I use those framelits. Typography is big right now and I love the look of ampersands. The Ampersand embossing folder is very cool and on trend. I did a very simple card and added just a bit of bling with the Silver Glimmer paper to make it pop. The base of this card was made by using the Simply Scored tool on Very Vanilla card stock to make the grid then with some card stock scraps (Crumb Cake and So Saffron), I used the corner rounder on my Envelope punch board and a circle punched in Tangerine Tango. The Just Sayin' set along with the matching framelits is a great bundle to get started and has many fun sentiments. I also love the colors of the Retro Fresh DSP (which goes with the new Retro Fresh This & That smash journal and all the stamps and embellishments that coordinate) I absolutely will be using more of this. I hope you enjoyed these fun creations, I was just glad to get back to creating again. It's time to move along the hop to see what Michelle has in store for you. I hope you all had wonderful Christmas and New Year's celebrations, I know I did (even though I was sick through most of it!) Happy 2014!! Julie

Hi there! It's a nice sunny day here today, much better than yesterdays downpours! I'm sat in our family room looking out over the cricket field and I can see all the leaves on the trees starting to come through, I do love this time of the year. I thought I would share a card with you that we made at our All Day Stamp a Stack way back in February! This was made using the stamp set Simple Stems. It's one of those sets that could pass you by but it's really lovely and very easy to use. I paired it with the Angled Tag Topper Punch and had a colour combo of Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive and Pool Party. Little bit of fussy cutting was required around the flower, but that's why I only did one per card! The ladies had to make 4 of these so I didn't want them having to cut more than 4 flowers out. Hope you like this card, the colours reminded me of the bright day we are having today! Off to my craft den, back tomorrow!
