Hello Stampers, I pulled out a beautiful stamp set from Stampin’ Up!, Peaceful Cabin, 156395 to create today’s card. How easy this stamp set makes it to create a lovely card scene you c…
This week's Colour Creations blog hop is all about Cinnamon Cider. When this colour was introduced to Stampin' Up!'s range, as an In Color last year, I was very excited. It is different to any other brown in our range. I haven't used Cinnamon Cider as much as I thought I would, so really enjoyed the challenge this week. My card features the fab new Peaceful Cabin bundle, that I know I'll get a lot of use out of, especially for masculine cards. I stamped the cabin image onto a piece of the new Cork Specialty Paper. I first stamped it using Saddle Brown Stazon ink, but the image was too orange for my liking. Using my Stamparatus, I lined up the stamp again, and stamped over the top using Jet Black Stazon ink. The result looks more dark brown than black, which is just what I wanted! The fence has been stamped in Cinnamon Cider ink, on Smoky Slate card, and die-cut. The trees are die-cut from Cinnamon Cider and Basic Gray card. I love the checked paper I've used in the background; it looks like a warm blanket, or a flannel shirt, don't you think? It, and the paper on which I stamped the sentiment, is from the Peaceful Place Designer Series Paper pack. The sentiment, from the Sunny Sentiments stamp set, was stamped in Cinnamon Cider ink. I cut it out using a Tasteful Labels Die, and added some Cinnamon Cider Square Gems to the side. Next up on tonight's blog hop is the lovely and talented Cathy Proctor. I stamped the cottage in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with the Stampin Blends markers weeks ago but just now using it. I cut the scene out with a Layering Oval framelits die. The Cozy Cottage is a host stamp set you can earn for free with a qualifying order with SU! and it is in the new 2018 Occasions catalog. I used Smoky Slate, Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Ivory, Old Olive, and Daffodil Delight blends when coloring. I added the Soft Suede card stock strip then layered a Whisper White sentiment banner over it using the Hello sentiment in Flourishing Phrases stamped in Cherry Cobbler. I also cut a detailed die from the Flourish thinlits dies in Old Olive. I layered all this on a piece of Delightful Daisy DSP. Love the fade or ombre look of the paper. I finished it off with the Soft Suede base. Hope you have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by! Hello my crafting friends, Today I would like to share with you my November Artisan Showcase Projects. I was asked to create two samples using products from the Peaceful Place Suite. The cards I created show how you can create blended backgrounds on both cardstock & designer series paper. Unfortunately, the Peaceful Place products will not be carrying over and will not be available after January 3, 2022. As a result, there may be some products that are no longer available. Even so, I hope you are inspired by these cards. Tip: When using the Blending Brushes start off the paper and then move to the paper & build up color slowly to get a smoother gradient. Create your blend on the Silver Tree pattern paper with Misty Moonlight ink. Create a top down blend. Wipe off any excess ink that may be sitting on top of the foil with a paper tissue. Cut the DSP down to 3 3/4" x 5". Create a circular blend on the Balmy Blue Cardstock with Misty Moonlight ink leaving the center untouched. 2- Stamp & die cut the images. Stamp the tree image in Evening Evergreen ink on Basic White Cardstock make sure you have about 1” of space at the bottom to create a snowy landscape, cut out with coordinating die. To add a little more color to the trees you can blend some of the ink with a Water Painter and a little water. I just tapped it around the trees to randomly add another level of color while leaving some areas untouched. Stamp the cabin in Memento Black ink of Basic White Cardstock. Keep the image to the top left of the cardstock. Then cut out with coordinating die. Add a little color to the snow with Balmy Blue ink mixed with lots of water to keep the color light, however, keep the water on the cardstock to a minimum to prevent warping. Then use Soft Suede ink to add a little color to the cabin. To stamp the background begin by adding a lot of Embossing Buddy. Then stamp the tree image in VersaMark across the middle of the cardstock, add silver embossing powder and heat. Next stamp the snowflakes in the sky with VersaMark ink, add white embossing powder and heat. If there are any areas you want more snowflakes you can use the Chalk Marker to add some small dots. 3- Cut out coordinating Die Cuts. On the Evening Evergreen Cardstock cut out the larger tree die cuts with the inserts. From Snowy White Velvet Paper cut out the skinny whimsical trees. Add a little sparkle with the Wink of Stella. 4- Put it all together. Emboss the 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” Basic White Cardstock with the Timer Embossing Folder and add it to the front of the cardbase. Add the blended background on top in the center. Next layer the die cut trees over the silver foil trees on the DSP. Then add the stamped trees layered on top of the die cut trees with the bottom of the snowy landscape touching the bottom of the DSP. Make sure to trim the sides to fit the width of the DSP. You can pop the tops of the trees with dimensionals. Stamp your greeting in Evening Evergreen on a label from the Tasteful Label Dies. Add it to the middle of the card below the trees with dimensionals. Add the smallest Snowy White Velvet trees around the greeting. Then use the Wink of Stella of add a little sparkle. Emboss the 4 1/8” x 5 3/8” Basic White Cardstock with the Timer Embossing Folder and add it to the front of the cardbase. Add the blended background on top in the center. Next add the cabin layer at the bottom of the trees. You can add dimensionals at the top to pop it off of the card. Trim at the sides of the cardbase. Then add some different size strips from the DSP patterns to cover the bottom area. I used one ¾” and another ½”. Add more of the Snowy White Velvet Trees to the sides with Wink of Stella if you want. Stamp your greeting in Soft Suede and cut out with a label from the Seasonal Label Dies and add it with dimensionals under the cabin. Last add some Subtle Sequins with liquid glue on both cards. All Done! Hello and welcome! I'm Tami Hewlett from California, USA and today, I'm sharing my projects from the November Artisan Design Team Showcase. They feature the lovely Peaceful Place Suite! I have a soft spot in my heart for this collection because it reminds me of numerous trips to the Sierra Nevada to visit my family
When it comes to Christmas cards, I like to make extra special varieties for just family and very close friends, but I try to keep them fairly simple for use in assembly line style, so I can make several at a time, like the eight here. Made with Kraft Cardstock and corrugate, these cards invoke an old time Christmas feeling, yet combined with shimmer and sparkle from Liquid Pearls, Stickles, and Metallic Cardstock, give them an elegant flair…a country chic look. After all the paper trimming, stitching, and die cutting, which are the most time consuming parts, they come together pretty quickly. Just do all the prep work first, and then line them up and build the cards one step at a time.

Hi Everyone!! And welcome to our very last Alaskan Achiever's Blog Hop! Our Stampin’ Up! year ends September 30th. In October we will have a brand new Blog Hop for all those who earned the Stampin’ Up! Greek Isles Achiever’s Trip. I will be there!!! So today is the last Alaskan Blog Hop…it has been a great year and we are going to finish the year with some awesome projects to share with you!! Our theme is anything from the Holiday Catalog. So I am going to share two cards from the Festive Farmhouse Bundle. FARMHOUSE CHRISTMAS PHOTOPOLYMER BUNDLE Price: $44.00 Here are some ideas from Stampin’ Up! And here are my cards…… Every year I always like to do a Autumn card ….I thought the house would be perfect for this…. Using the Sheltering Tree Stamp Set as well…..makes for a lovely Autumnal tree on a Balmy Blue Cardstock background. And notice in the up close picture…I stamped the house on the wood grained DSP from the Festive Farmhouse Designer Paper series. Makes for a darling card for any fall occasion. But then I like to take the same layout and make a spooky card for Halloween. Using the same house….with that adorable picket fence and wood grained house. But add it to Basic Black Cardstock, with a moon and some bats punched from our Spooky Sweets Bundle with Black Foil Sheets. Add some stars dots with a White Chalk Marker and some silver stars from the Twinkle Twinkle Suite. And finish off with a cute little Jack o Lantern right by the door. Same card…..two totally different looks….which one is your favorite? And now onto the rest of the hop!! Check out all the awesome creations for some very talented demonstrators!! You are at Renee Kohnke / Water City Stamping! Happy Hopping!! And finally….If there is any thing that you would like ….just click on the pictures below and it will take you right to my store. And as always thank you for your orders….I truly appreciate it!! until next time….
I've seen various wreaths created using the Martha Stewart branch punch and really liked the look and decided to try it too. I don't know exactly how many branches I punched out but I know that there were over 24 branches used to create this wreath. The branches were attached to a 2" ring of old olive card stock using tombow adhesive. Once the wreath was completed the bells and ribbon bow were attached using sticky strip. The berry circles were punched using the 1/8" punch on the crop-a-dile and attached with tombow adhesive. Very vanilla card stock was embossed with the allegro embossing folder, spritzed with gold pearl-ex shimmer mist and attached to a real red card. The wreath and sentiment were attached using dimensionals. Supplies Used: Paper: Very Vanilla, Real Red, Old Olive; Ink: Real Red; Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes; Other: Allegro Embossing Folder, Word Window Punch, Modern Label Punch, Martha Stewart Branch Punch, Crop-a-dile, Goldtone Bells, Red Satin Ribbon, Gold Pearl-Ex Shimmer Mist, Tombow Adhesive, Sticky Strip, Dimensionals
Take a look at these brilliant Christmas gifts in 2022 and give the gift of glamping to your partner. Christmas vacations await!
