Even though my cards all almost all Clean and Simple, I rarely make a one-layer card. But, I made one last week:) I stamped the flowers with a stamp from the dollar bin at Michael's. (It had a sentiment on it, but I cut it apart so I can use them separately.) I stamped the sentiment (from Papertrey Ink's Birthday Basics) over the stems. I scored five lines on the left side with my Scor-Pal. I put some pink on the flowers with a colored pencil, added Star Dust Stickles to them, and then gave each one a pearl center. That's it! Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!

Happy Friday. I'm kicking off the weekend with a post of several cards I've made this week. First up is a sweet little number using PTI Life is What You Bake it stamps and dies and the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch #263. This mixer looks exactly like the one I have in my kitchen. I love it in red--it matches the knobs on my stove. One more card with that mixer, this one using the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches #328. A card for Seize the Birthday, where the toppings option is Teal and White. I cased this card by Melissa during the PTI release week. Turns out that I have 4 shades of paper and ink in the teal family. I am also entering this at AAA Cards #110: Ombre. And, last up is a card using Concord & 9th Globe Greetings, inspired by the sketch at Where Creativity Meets C9 #19. Thanks for Visiting

Hi to all my blogging friends and especially Teresa who set the challenge to make a card - thank you Teresa! Hope I have given you enough time to complete yours! Managed to get mine done yesterday as we have been very busy with SENZ up in Hamilton, so soon after returning from Australia. The two trips were fun but it is nice to be home again and back into routine. Here is my card. I have used all you gave me, just added a bit of ribbon and some green card for the leaves, as extras. I added the two other papers inside for decoration - and hope you notice NO KAISERCRAFT!! It is a recessed window card and the image is from LOTV. Hope it meets with your approval and looking expectantly for yours!! Now, the next part of this blog is especially for Jenny, who wanted to see some cards made with the Kaisercraft's Sears and Sons collection. Saying that, I hope you all enjoy seeing what I have done with a very masculine range. I do find it harder to produce male cards, as I favour pretty feminine cards, finding them so much easier to work with. All from me tonight as I think I've done enough waffling. Happy crafting to you all and may you know God's blessing. Betsy xxx
They are everywhere you look (and I'm not talking about the sky.. LOL).. forums, magazines, blogs, etc.. Sunbursts are the coolest thing to do with your papers at the moment.. they really are fun and an awesome way to use up those tons of scrap papers you are sitting with too. Here is quick tutorial on how easy it is to use these on your page: Step 1: First choose your papers and your photos that you wish to create your layout with Step 2: Select your sketch that you wish to work with (or create your own) – for my layout I used the left side of Let’s Scrap sketch 8-24-11. Step 3: Arrange your photos on some Scratch paper so that you know more or less where you want your sunburst to go. If working with a double layout and you want your sunburst to extend over both pages, use two pieces of scratch paper. Step 4: Using a marker, select the centre point of your sunburst and draw same on your scratch paper. Now draw lines from this point to the outer edge of your layout where you want your sunburst to go. Step 5: Number and cut out all these pieces Step 6: Using these numbered pieces as templates, place on-top of your various pattern papers and trace them off and cut out. NOTE: remember if using paper with text to place your Text the correct way up so that you don’t end up with upside down or skew writing. Step 7: Once they are all cut out, line them up to make sure that you end up with the correct shape Step 8: Adhere these to your background paper in the position that you require. Optional: To define the edges of your sunburst pieces, you can either ink, distress, sew, add ribbon, add border strips, stickers, twine, elements, etc. Step 9: Finish your layout by adding photos, elements, etc Step 10: Sit back and admire your handiwork Hope you enjoyed the tutorial and I cannot wait to see your layouts. Hugs, Mich

Daisies make me happy! I used some Simon Says Stamp dies and a sentiment stamp to make a card that I'm hoping will make someone as happy to get some daisies as will have been for me to make and give them! ... I die cut the A2 Thin Frame Rectangles, then added a variety of black patterned background papers, layered daisies, cut from the Bixby Arch die set, and leaves die cut from the Simon Mini Flowers and Leaves. The sentiment is from Simon's Tiny Words. After the card was put together, I dotted each flower with Tonic Drops. Here's a close up: Hoping you find happiness today...be kind to yourself if you don't, and know you are not alone... but know, too, that happiness will come back...please stay safe!! Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
