I felt inspired to do some Ombré today. I love the look of colours graduating into one another and the Dotty Angles is perfect for this modern trending card. I had fun using the metallic thread and the sequins which are so hot right now! One thing to keep in mind when using the sequins is to try and think in odd numbers. You can see I have a cluster of three and then a one above the sentiment and one below. I have seen even number of sequins used but they had two together three times on the card. It's all about the fibonacci sequence in nature - majority of flowers if you have a look - have an odd number of petals. We know that flowers look good, so it is a good principle to keep in mind when creating. The Congrats to you from the Tin of cards Stamp set I have embossed in black to give it a striking look and to go with my black sequins. I have also wrapped the metallic thread around to tie in with my silver sequins. I LOVE this colour combo - feel free to pin this for inspiration. Supply List: Thanks for all the wonderful comments you have been leaving! It totally makes my day when you leave a comment. Want to know an exciting surprise? Welcome back! I have two cards to share today for this week's sketch from Try Stampin' on Tuesday. Before I get to my cards, here's a look at the sketch. This is such a great sketch, it can be used in soooo many ways! I started out with one idea that morphed into another, so I ended up with two cards. This first card was part of my original thought process. I wanted to do the bokeh technique for the top part of the card, but the colors I used looked more like a baby card than the birthday card I had planned. So, I went with the flow and created a baby card. I layered a couple of stars then added a sentiment. This second card is more of what I had envisioned. I used the polka dots from Dotty Angels as my top layer in place of the bokeh technique. The sentiment from Big News is nice and bold so this card works well all in Strawberry Slush. I added just a touch of color with the silver ribbon and sequins. Well, I hope you feel inspired to join us! Just go to Try Stampin' on Tuesday for all the details plus more great samples from the Design Team. Thanks for visiting! Happy Stamping! Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Hi! Have I mentioned lately how much I love the new Stampin' Up! photopolymer stamps? Just one or two times I think!! This was actually the first card I made using the Dotty stamp from Dotty Angles. I have seen a heap of similar cards around, where the image is stamped once and then again in a slightly different place without reinking again. I love the effect it gives! I used some Baked Brown Sugar sequins to add a touch of bling to the card. I love the way they hide in amongst the dots. I stamped in the same way on the inside and discovered that instead of moving the stamp up for the second stamping, I need to move it down to avoid the line through the image. Hopefully the recipient will forgive/not notice the oops! Bye for now, Tina
CARD This is a fun card from the Retiring Dotty Angles stamp set, Itty Bitty Punch Pack and the wooden Expressions Natural Elements (also retiring). Designed by Liz Miller.

Last Saturday I went to my upline Janet Wakeland's REMARKABLE STAMPERS team meeting in Spring Grove, Pa. I love meeting up with fellow SU! demonstrators. Two of my dear friends Lisa Chatterjee and Arleen Graham were there and I met so many other friends as well and new friends. It's a tradition to create a new card with new SU! product and share it at the meeting. You can swap the cards with other demonstrators and friends who also made cards and you get a great collection. I made 2 cards. This is the first. I used the SU! HOSTESS SET HELLO THERE. Colors are Blush Blossom, Very Vanilla and Basic Gray card stock. I colored the SU! adhesive pearl jewel to match the card stock with my NEW BLENDABILITIES alcohol markers from SU! The dots stamp is a fabulous NEW stamp called DOTTY ANGLES. It's a definite MUST for your collection. I'll share my other swap card and some photos from the meeting in another post.
Happy Easter, everyone! My lovely friend LeAnne has an awesome sketch for us this week at The Paper Players: There are lots of possibilities with this sketch--strips of designer papers, leftover scraps, or even stamped images but I have to admit...I was a little stumped at first. Then, I was browsing my favorite accessory store--Charming Charlie--and this bracelet caught my eye: I love the colorblock design and the gorgeous trio of black, pink and taupe/gold. Standing there in the store, a light bulb went off and I couldn't wait to turn it into a card! LeAnne's sketch was just perfect! I cut a piece of thick whisper white as the focal panel and added a strip of Basic Black, Blushing Bride and Crumb Cake cardstock. It looked a little plain so I stamped the confetti dots from the Dotty Angles stamp set in versamark and heat embossed in gold. I just recently acquired this Celebrate die from My Favorite Things and I couldn't wait to use it! I backed the gold piece with a second die cut in Basic Black which acts like a drop shadow and really makes the whole thing pop! Some gold cording looped around the back gives it a little texture and shine. I am really pleased with the way this one turned out and it was all because of that bracelet and no, I didn't even buy it! Be sure to check out all the fabulous creations from our design team at The Paper Players. I just know something will inspire you to play along with us before the challenge ends on Friday, April 1st at Noon (PST). Hope to see you in the gallery! Dotty Angles. Ok, is it just me or is this a funny name for a stamp set? Well, none-the-less, I LOVE this fun dotty background! Find it on page 98 in the catalog or HERE ONLINE. I've stamped it 3x after inking it once, which gives the faded dot effect, like they are kind of falling down the page. I inked it in Calypso Coral ink and stamped it on Wisper White, then layered that onto Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock and then on to Calpyso Coral cardstock. The floral focal point is stamped with the Beautiful Bunch stamp set on

Hello friends. Today I have a masculine card for you based on another of the fabulous Stamping and Blogging sketch challenges. I have used a couple of new Stampin' Up! photopolymer sets Bravo and Dotty Angles. I'm really impressed with the quality of our Photopolymer stamps. They stamp beautifully. My colours here are Smoky Slate, Real Red and Basic Black. I have clear embossed the Dotty Angles stamp onto the first layer of Smoky Slate cardstock. The main stamped circle is cut out with the 2 1/2" Circle Punch, and one of the Starburst Framelits is a great size to...
I have been SUPER busy! I created my projects this week for the Splitcoast Dirty Dozen Design Team. This month the theme was Bucket List - either things that you have done or would like to do. I had so much fun doing up the projects. Tomorrow night is my teams, The Crazy Crafters, blog hop and boy are you in for a TREAT! Our theme is Fun Folds and there are going to be some amazing designs. This project pushed me to try a design I have never done before. Make sure you sign up for my blog updates so you don't miss it! Today I really wanted to play along with Fab Friday but I had very very limited time to beat the sun setting and taking my photos - fortunately the idea came super fast when I saw the colours! I went straight for my signature style - geometric, blog and clean layers. It is my happy place. Here are the colours - And here is my card - I am VERY happy with how it turned out. I did it super quick - so don't look too close. lol Just eyeballed them so they may not meet up perfectly but I think you get the idea. I ADORE white embossing on black. It is one of my favourite ways to show off a sentiment. I used dimensionals on the front layer and also the sentiment - we run out of dimensionals so fast in this household. Bruno uses them like they are going to retire! Here are the colours that were the Fab Friday Challenge. I love them! I would love to update you when I create a post! I had extra pieces cut from a meeting make and take back in June (see it here), so I used different stamp sets, but the same layout to re-make the card. Even though it's exactly the same pieces, I fee
I am embracing the new In Colors... using the negative of an MDS digital image... But I forget which one... Because.... I have been slowly losing my marbles lately. Anyone have any extra marbles? (Insert: Alanna has extra marbles to lend me!! She told me that this digital download is Chillin' Out) And I am totally doing this last minute. 4 minutes. All I did was use my Silhouette Cameo and cut out this image already designed by Stampin' Up! Then I put a window sheet over the back. My theory was... if I wasn't so lazy I'd glue the little "holes in the donuts.. I mean "o's" onto the window sheet. It turns out I was too lazy. Then I cut a strip of each new in colour card stock and laid them on the kraft paper... I used a lot of pop dots.. Ok. I never. I lied. I used some cardboard I had laying around. Again. Lazy scrapbooker. 1 minute. Then I placed my picture on the right hand side... I literally grabbed whatever I had left on my desk in terms of stamps and scraps. You can see the new Kinda Electric stamp and the super cool Dotty Angles stamp... some slivers of vellum and Moonlight designer paper stack.. and then stapled it together with some washi tape. I was covering up fingerprints and covering mistake after mistake... but that's the fun part right! Done. Over time. Oops... can't be perfect every time? Right? Huh? Huh? Get it? Pleeeeeze... I need to give this up and go on Last Comic Standing. You need to go to Cindy now!! HAVE FUN!
Happy Friday friends! Where did this week go?!?! It seems like Monday was just yesterday...gotta love when the week days fly by :-) I started my summer work schedule this week and have Thursdays off until my kiddos go back to school. I am very lucky and blessed that my boss is such a kind hearted man and allows me to work this schedule, which allows me a little more time to have fun with my boys. Since I didn't have to work yesterday, I was able to take advantage of some early morning stamping while everyone else slept...yay! I got two of my Convention card swaps designed and made a couple of other fun cards too. I'm still lovin' Flower Patch and inked it up again. Supplies Used: Paper ~ Coastal Cabana, Whisper White Ink ~ Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive Stamp Sets ~ Flower Patch, Dotty Angles Other Supplies ~ Flower Fair Framelits, Crushed Curry Bakers Twine Here's a little peak of the inside too...I love those fun dots! This card is going out to a good friend and fellow stamper who was just diagnosed with some pretty scary medical conditions...I'm hoping this will cheer her up a little and put a smile on her face. Enjoy your weekend!!! Happy Stamping!
