Hi everyone, Welcome to my blog. Thanks so much for popping in to see me. Today I am taking part in our monthly video hop over at Stamp Around UK. Our theme for this month is "Saleabration 2023". As I only have one SAB item from this year's selection, I once again used the "Dainty Flowers" DSP. I have to admit I am quite liking the restriction of having fewer options to use and of coming up with more ways to use this paper. I made one version in Starry Sky and another in Old Olive. Today’s card features one of the new bundles from the January – April Mini Catalog called Dainty Delights. I fell in love with this bundle the minute I saw it especially the sentiment I used on this card. I also took advantage of one of the packages of Designer Series Papers from the Brights collection that is retired and being offered in the clearance rack (who doesn’t love 60% off paper) for just $4.60 instead of the original $11.50 (great time to stock up). Here is what I came up with… The card base is Basic White cut to 5 ½ x 8 1/2” and scored at 4 ¼”. I added a piece of the Brights Designer Series Paper (I chose the Pear Pizzazz piece) that was cut to 4 ¼ x 5 ½ and covered the entire top of my card base. Next, I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 3 ¾ 5 ½” and stamped my floral image from the Dainty Delights stamp set onto the center using Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I colored in my image using the Stampin’ Blends listed below and then too a Blending Brush and colored around the image with Balmy Blue Ink. Next, I die cut three of the daisies from the dies in the bundle out of Blushing Bride cardstock and three centers using Crushed Curry cardstock. I added the centers to the flowers and then adhered them onto my card. I stamped my sentiment “Thank You FOR YOUR KINDNESS” (don’t you just love that sentiment?) onto a piece of Basic White cardstock that measured ¾ x 3” using Granny Apple Green Ink. I just angle cut each side of the sentiment and added it to the front of my card using Dimensionals. For my final embellishments I added one of the cute Dragonfly Trinkets and a bow tied with a piece of the parakeet parade and white twine from the 2022 -2023 In Color Baker’s Twine Pack which I attached with a Mini Glue Dot. I hope you enjoy this card I certainly enjoyed making it. As always you can find the supplies to create this card and much more on my website at https://craftwithronnie.stampinup.net or by click the shopping button at the top of this blog or the link to the supplies listed below. Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop CASEING the CATTY. Click here to see our fabulous page! To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selective Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues. This week, we are CASEING from the gorgeous new Mini Catalogue. And I was inspired by the lovely bright fresh card on page 54. I actually had the Granny Apply Green cardstock already cut and scored for a gorgeous fun sloped accordion fold, so adapted the idea from the catalogue to work with this fold. The background gorgeous bright paper comes from the Tea Boutique paper - works so well with the lovely Daffodil Delight die cut daisies from the lovely Dainty Delight bundle. The 21 x 21cm cardstock was scored at 7cm intervals and then sliced diagonally to create 2 cards at the same time!! I just love the amazing detail from the Dainty Delight dies - and the stamping fonts are so gorgeous in the Dainty Delight stamp set too. The only extra embellishment I have is some linen thread tied in a double bow. Make sure you keep hopping! Up next is the gorgeous Peta Dainty Delight fun fold So many gorgeous freebies to earn this month! Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop CASEING the CATTY. To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues. This week, we are CASEING anything from the Annual Catalogue - easy right??? So many amazing choices in our catalogue, but I used the challenge this week to help me get started on a card I need to create. I've used this gorgeous card featuring the Dainty Delight bundle on page 23 as my starting point. I loved the stunning colouring of the daisies to create the soft look. So I looked up the Project Recipe for the samples and saw that it was stamped very lightly with Pecan Pie and then coloured using ink and a blender pen which picks up the colours without making the ink run or bleed. I love the soft effect of the colours!! I have really simplified the card example from the catalogue because I was creating a Sympathy card and wanted a quieter card than the original. I only used 2 die cuts from the Dainty Delight bundle with Soft Sea Foam cardstock for a softer background. The blending was done with Lemon Lolly just to highlight the flowers a bit more. Inside the card repeats the same themes of colour and colouring. Make sure you keep hopping all the way around to see lots of great ideas to inspire you!
