Hello crafters! I am not sure if this will translate or not, you will have to tell me, but when I finished this card, all I could think of was neopolitan ice cream! The blush pink card, milk card an
Hi Bloggers. Here's today's card from my recent Spellbinders shows on Hochanda - I used a paper from Phill Martin's Decadent Damask 8 x 8 Paper Pad for the background, trimmed down a little (that hurt a bit!). I cut the middle sized die from the Spellbinders Angle Approach Cut Fold & Tuck out of another paper from Phill's Paper Pad. I folded and tucked it and added a Brad. I cut one of Sue Wilson's Double Pierced Squares out of Coconut White Card. I added a couple of dies from the Spellbinders Gold Squares One die set and ran them through the Spellbinders Platinum Machine. I cut the large die from the Spellbinders Lace Doily Motifs Die Set out of the plain side of another paper from Phill's Paper Pad. I cut one of them in half and off set it behind the full one. I stamped the sentiment from the Creative Expressions Fabulous Sentiments Clear Stamp Set onto Coconut White Card using Coffee Archival. I cut it out using a die from Spellbinders Lace Doily Accents Die Set. I cut the middle sized die from the Spellbinders 5 x 7 Reflective Moment Die Set out of the plain side of the same paper I used for the Lace Doily Motif. I cut some corners out of Coconut White Card using Spellbinders Lace Doily Accents Die Set. I assembled the card as shown piercing around the edges using my Tim Holtz Ruler, Precision Probe and Piercing Mat. The winner of Freebie Friday on 27th November is ................... rolfi Please email me at [email protected] with your address and I'll pop it in the post. I have decided that if Freebie Friday cards are not claimed byWednesday, I will do a re-draw on Thursday. Phill Martin is continuing with his One Day Special on Hochanda today with shows at 9am, 12noon, 4pm and 7pm. I hope you can tune in. Just a reminder that 10% off items I have in stock from the shows continues till midnight tonight. You can find them here. Please note stock of the stamps is expected Wednesday or Thursday. A while ago, I was asked to do an interview with Hochanda for their members magazine which was emailed out at the beginning of November. The interview is now available to read on their blog here. For the Card Creations: Favorite Occasions Week Birthday Challenge in the Moxie Fab World, they are celebrating the release of their newest Card Creations publication, and one of the challenges is to make a birthday card. I just happen to have needed 5 of them for this month, so this challenge worked out well for me. I made the same card 4 times, each in a different color. Here are 2 of them closer up: All of the cards started with the lovely Hero Arts cling stamp called Butterfly Field. It was stamped on white cardstock using various distress inks. Separately I stamped and colored the Traditional Butterly using colored pencils and mineral spirits (or orange marker and white gel pen on the orange one), then cut each one out. I finished by overstamping the butterfly again on my background, and gluing or popping the butterflies in place (this saves trying to cut out around those tiny antennae). Lastly I overstamped the sentiments. Supplies: white cardstock, Hero Arts CG176 Butterfly Field, E5388 Traditional Butterfly, CL139 Birthday Messages, PTI Vintage Picnic Sentiments, worn lipstick, broken china, peeled paint, and mustard seed distress inks, Versafine onyx black ink and clear embossing powder, Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits, Marvy orange marker, white gel pen
Happy Friday crafty peeps! I have been having such a great time creating with the brand new collections by BoBunny this past week. One of my good friends hosted a crafty gathering at her home last weekend and I was in the mood to do a bit of art journaling. For this I used the new "Believe" collection which is not only uplifting in color and pattern but in sentiment and embellishment accents as well. To begin, I used white gesso to coat the journal pages and then applied Glimmer Spray in Mint, Sugar, Gold and of course a touch of Frost. I wanted the background to coordinate with the colors in the papers I selected. For this side, you will see I applied some Silver Foil Transfers in the dot pattern to coordinate with my background paper. The background frame and "Love One Another" are cut from the "Glory" patterned paper. The "Faith" scallop sentiment was cut from the "Worship" patterned paper. For the right side I first used our new cloud pattern Summertime Stickable Stencils along with some Sugar Glitter Paste. I did a bit more cutting papers and layered the elements. I am so grateful that BoBunny came out with this line, it is so great to have a faith based collection that is bright and cheerful and so inspiring! BoBunny Supplies: Patterned Paper: Blessed, Faith, Glory, Radiance and Worship / Believe Chipboard: 6x12 Chipboard / Believe Buttons: Believe Noteworthy: Believe Glitter Paste: Sugar Glimmer Spray: Mint, Sugar, Frost and Gold Stickable Stencils: Summertime Foil Transfers: Silver Accents Foil Items: Gold Foil Chevron Washi and Gold Foil Dot Washi Clear Stickers: Believe Double Dot Jewels: Emerald and Blue Hues Thanks so much for stopping on over! Have a super scrappity day and be sure to ask for the "Believe" collection at your local store.

Have you ever heard the term "Penny for your thoughts"? When I received the Penny Emporium Collection Pack from Bo Bunny, I knew it would be just perfect for the special gift I had planned for a dear friend. Using a plain wooden journal I had purchased from the dollar bin at my local store, I set out to create a unique journal unlike anything available in a store. A place where she could write down her thoughts, hopes and dreams... I covered the front and back of the journal with the patterned paper, and embellished it using brads, chipboard and die cuts from the collection. The inside pages were decorated with images from the Noteworthy packet, and the alpha stickers from the collection! I highlighted the pages with Evergreen Bough Distress Ink. The Penny Emporium paper collection has everything you will need to create a journal of your own. Give it a try! Happy Creating! ReNae

Yay it's friday, almost time for some R&R but first lets talk craft. We have a new challenge live on the Paperbabe Stamps blog today. The theme "Picture inspiration" If you'd like to join in all you need to do is pop over to the blog and use the linkup to add your project, Paperbabe Stamps Challenges are open to everyone... As usual you are welcome to combine with other challenges. Here's my Design team project I created my card by using stamps from the Folk Fabrique and Birthday Wishes stamp sets. I stamped them on to some linen fabric with Versafine ink, I then heat set it with my iron. Next I used some cosmic shimmer luster fabric paint to create a background, I water the paint down and apply it to the fabric which I spritz with water first. The paint then bleeds creating a softer look, while wet I then sprinkle with course salt and leave to dry. As you can see the salt moves the paint around and leaves a blotchy effect. Once dry I use the paint in it's raw state to add color to the Peacock, I added the fabric o the card using Red liner tape. I hand drew a sketchy border on the card and added some Aurora Borealis gems. I hope you'll have a go at entering the challenge and look forward to seeing your creations. Terri

I don't normally use lavender's and purples, blues, and pink's together.....but with the inspiration from Scrap Memory (picture above) I decided to give it a shot! Love how it turned out! I used the sketch from Our Hobby (pic above), and also three elements from Scrapkopilka (pearls-curl-butterflies)..........I think it came together wonderfully! I hope you like it too, and thanks so much for stoppin' by and takin' a peek! Teresa*

This is the second in a series of cards I am designing for an article in Scrap and Stamp Arts featuring the Garden Terrace header dies from Tonic Studios. I love how versatile these dies are! You can choose to cut each die with or without the edge die. For this card, I die cut the floral header twice on a piece of 5x5" white cardstock without the edge die and attached it on a square dark plum cardstock base. Check out how the little flowers pop up for added dimension and interest. I die cut the Miniature Moments Birthday Wishes die out of a scrap of the same dark plum cardstock and finished the card with some Nuvo Violet Galaxy Crystal Drops. I am entering this card in the Anything Goes challenge at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

Hello again! Last but not least for today! We have the Geneva and the Bern die sets on offer for this post. Shown here, the Bern die has not only pretty detail, but a lovely soft shape as well. It has the same inside shape as the Zurich and the Geneva dies, but they are all in graduated sizes, so while they are very useful on their own, the entire collection will give you extra versatility in your crafting projects. The Geneva outer shape is oval and it aligns perfectly with the Double Pierced Ovals dies too. The Geneva has an outer die that has random piercing as it's feature and it looks stunning when cut! If you like the look of these, just leave a comment on this post to be entered into this drawing. We will start bright and early at 6am in the morning for day two of the die launch! All for now, Sue x Follow my blog with Bloglovin
Here is a quick and easy way you can "perk" up your small garden pots with The Robins Nest Dew Drops! I started by cleaning up a few mini pots that have succulents growing in them. Just a bit of window cleaner and a dry cloth to buff the surface dry. In the above pots, I chose colors that did not take away from the plants inside, but would look pretty enough when the sun came out to play. Here is a mug that got left outside one summer. Now it holds my extra plant markers. For glue, I used Helmar 450. It goes on clear, dries clear and so far is pretty weather hardy. I use this glue for most of my Dew Drop needs. Dew drops used in this mini garden project: Carnation Dews Sun Yellow Lakeside Kelly Green Purple Hair So, do you have any "mini-garden" pots that need a little something? All it takes is a little bit of dew love. :) Come on over to The Robins Nest blog for more Dew Drop inspiration!
It's Wednesday and that means a new challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog! Our challenge this week is "Make it Girlie", and my teammates and I are using Hero Arts products. I made 2 very different cards today: supplies: cream, kraft, and 2 Doodlebug pinks cardstock, Hero Arts Classic Tea Rose, picked raspberry and mowed lawn distress markers, Molotow masking fluid, Memory Box Pinpoint Rectangle Layers dies, Old Letter Writing, tea dye distress ink, Hello Stamp & Cut die, Heart Accent Pearl, natural twine, lace I inked the flower stamp using distress markers, then stamped it onto a panel and lightly brushed it with a damp brush to spread the color out. After it was dry, I used masking fluid to cover the flower before overstamping the script background, and sponging on a little more tea dye distress ink around the flower. The masking fluid was then rubbed off, and I trimmed the panel with a pinpoint die, framed it in a skinny kraft frame, then again in a Doodlebug pink. Since the challenge this week is "girly", I went all the way and used some old lace trim to frame the panel one more time, then added my triple-cut sentiment, a twine bow and a Hero Arts heart pearl. After all the layers and detail on the above card, I wanted to make a much simpler design for my second card. supplies: white, periwinkle, and dark aqua cardstock, Bold Floral Stencil, blueprint sketch, mermaid lagoon, and lucky clover distress inks, Happy Stamp & Cut set, Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Borders die, Winnie & Walter Audrey's Cutaways scallopped frame die, Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear sequins For this card I inked directly onto the stencil using distress inks, then spritzed it lightly before "stamping" it onto white card. I trimmed the panel, adhered it to a periwinkle card base, then added my sentiment and sequins. Now it's your turn! I can't wait to see what you make! We have a $50.00 gift voucher to the Simon Says Stamp store for one lucky random winner of our challenge!

Penny Emporium is a beautiful paper collection in gorgeous lavender and gentle blues with a steam punk twist. It can be used for romantic projects or fun steampunk designs! ReNae here, with the FotoBella Design Team. Let me tell you a little bit about today's project. I decided to use the Penny Emporium 6 x 6 Paper Pad and the Penny Emporium Ephemera Pack to create a special card for a very dear friend. I selected a gorgeous victorian beauty in a frame for the focal image of the card. I then glossed up the focal image and used ribbon from the Ephemera Pack to divide the two papers and give the illusion of a portrait hanging on the wall. I shaded the paper with Dusty Concord Distress Ink, and added the buttons and a "Perfect" diecut from the Notewothy pack. I then added a couple lavender flowers and gems from my stash and the card was finished! It's fun to make cards and it's so easy when you have the right supplies! And FotoBella.com is the place to find them! Until next time, Happy Creating! ReNae
Good morning to all my special blog friends and what a lovely morning it is after a rather cold spell. A trifle nippy first thing but now the sun is shining beautifully. A great day to get the washing on the line. Lately I have been playing with some of the Pion Papers, thanks to Jo, and I so love them. The images are just gorgeous and usable, so I thought I would share three of the cards I have made recently. I really do love the vintage feel of these papers. For this card I have used Spellbinder's Labels 8 and Decorative Labels 8. The frame round the image is Spellbinder's Opulent Ovals with some muslin and a border of lace at the base. Cards always need some flowers, don't they!? Kaisercraft and some from I Am Roses. I love this new die I have purchased! Sue Wilson, Australian Collection, Background, CED6101. It is a Creative Expressions Die. There are actually seven dies in the pack so a variety of different cards can be obtained by just layering etc. What a find!! The flowers on this one are from Prima. Spellbinder's Majestic Labels 25, S5-189 makes a lovely card, I am sure you will agree and isn't she a gorgeous lady? Very simple but elegant. I could show you some more but will make that do for today. Three today, seeing I was away last week. We did have a lovely time away - I heard Hugh tell someone that he enjoyed every moment of it. It was cold and wet but we were in a lovely warm home and were well looked after. A special thanks to Hugh's lovely sister. Maybe, it may be the start of more trips away - my husband is very much a home body! It's all go now as SENZ is looming up fast but I am looking forward to all the hype etc and seeing all the friends I have made over the years. This year I am travelling and staying with three special friends from Timaru, so that should be fun - let Graham and Liz of the hook! Patchworking is on the roster today so must get into my workroom. Happy crafting and many blessings to you all. Thanks so much for stopping by. Betsy xxx
