The Stampin’ Up! Spotlight on Nature bundle makes beautiful cards. Let me teach you how to make these 4 thank you cards. Video included.
In this busy season I have completely been slacking on posting projects! I haven't even finished sharing the projects that we made at a private class a customer hosted a few weeks back! The class was held just a few days before the new annual catalog went live so it was hard to decide what to use on the class projects! I went with a mix of carryover items and new products. The new Thoughtful Journey designer series paper is gorgeous and I paired it with the carryover set Heartfelt Hexagons for a design that shows off the paper and lets the fun hexagon punch shine. The card base is Basic White thick, then a strip of Misty Moonlight cardstock topped with a strip of the Thoughtful Journey DSP. The sentiment is stamped in Boho Blue ink and then the frame is stamped in Misty Moonlight and punched out. A length of retired Boho Blue textured ribbon is adhered to the back and then adhered to the card front with dimensionals. A few 2024-2026 In Color shimmer gems are added to the side of the sentiment for a small bit of sparkle. This is a great design to use if you need to make multiples and any designer series paper would work. It's especially good for 6x6 paper because you get 3 panels for 3 card with just a small 1/2" x 6" strip of scrap. Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today? Stamps: Heartfelt Hexagons Ink: Boho Blue, Misty Moonlight Paper: Basic White thick, Basic White, Misty Moonlight, Thoughtful Journey DSP Accessories: Heartfelt Hexagon punch, dimensionals, 2024-2026 In Color shimmer gems, Boho Blue textured ribbon (retired)

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today, I am participating in the New at SU! blog hop. We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who are full of creative papercrafting ideas to share with you to get you crafting. This month we are using current products to CASE another team member. It is my absolute pleasure to be casing Angie McKenzie of Nature's Inkspirations. Angie's project I've chosen to CASE is last month's New at SU! blog hop project which I absolutely love. It's a darling treat box created and filled with love. Angie created her treat boxes as an Easter gift for her parent's friends - I thought they would make fabulous table gifts for my next crafty class. I've retained the general size of Angie's box, the wrapped layer and the ribbon. I have also included a bookmark, of sorts, and the crumpled filling although I have changed up the theme as my decoration utilises the Online Exclusive Latte Love products. I constructed the box from a piece of cardstock measuring 23cm x 7cm -scoring at 1cm, 8cm, 12cm and 19cm creates the sides of the box. Each long side was scored at 1cm - one edge forms the folded border at the top and the other edge is snipped to create flaps to adhere the base piece to. After creating a tube from the scored card a rectangular piece of matching card, measuring 7cm x 4cm, can be adhered to the flaps to create the bottom of the box. The box is wrapped with a narrow strip of the A Little Latte DSP, some Baker's Twine or Lost Lagoon Ribbon (retiring) and a couple of die cut cups. A triangle of Swirl Dots finish off the decoration. I decided to use my bookmark as a means of introducing the new InColors. I stamped the coffee drips, which make convincing ink splatters, in each of the new colours and added a matching die cut cup together with a Shimmer Gem. Initially, I wasn't sure about a couple of the new colours, but even after this quick stamping session I am now converted to them. At the moment my favourite is Summer Splash. I intend to sit the filled boxes alongside the card kits at my next card gathering. Coffee and biscuits are always part of the occasion, but it is so much better when they are presented in pretty boxes! So, nestled amongst the thin strips of crumpled card (Lost Lagoon or Pecan Pie) there will be some tasty nibbles, a tea or coffee bag together with the InColor bookmark. I hope that you have been inspired by my project today. Continuing along the hop to the others will provide you with even more project ideas - you are currently with me, Furry Cat Designs by Karen Henderson - but before you hop on to see what Angie has made this month, please take a moment to leave a comment. We love reading your comments! Blog Hop Index Do you need any of the products I have used today? If you live in the UK please take a look in my online Stampin' Up! shop. Hello stamping friends, I have another sneak peek to share with you from the 2024-2025 Annual catalogue. As a demonstrstor we have access to preorders from new upcoming catalogues. When I first saw the Country Flowers Bundle, I knew it was one that I would love. The stamp set includes two different containers, three foliage and flower stamps, a stool and five greetings. For this card I stamped the front pail and flowers first. I created a mask for the pail and then stamped the stool and the teapot and flowers. I stamped the stool again on a piece of woodgrain card stock from the Country Woods DSP and fussy cut it out. I trimmed the stool so that it would fit behind the front pail. I coloured the image with my Blends Markers and cut out the image with a Deckled Rectangle Die. Happy Easter stamping friends, be sure to pop back soon for more peeks from the new catalogue. If you live in Australia and do not already have a demo, contact me and I can send you your own catalogue as soon as it's available. Happy stamping, Rachel
