Back on January 23rd, I was one of the video presenters at an event called Demos Galore which was held virtually like it had been the time before in September. For my video presentation I created and
Jan.14/11 Here is a different tri-fold card. I saw this card here and thought it was a really neat fold. I hadn't seen one like it before. I had a problem getting the other one to fold flat, maybe I did something wrong, but since I wanted mine to be smaller, I went ahead and re-worked it to make a smaller version. Here are the instructions for the smaller tri-fold card. You can click on any of the pictures to get a better view of the measurements. Here is the template - the solid lines are cut lines and the broken ones are score lines. First Step - cut your card stock to 7" x 9" On your trimmer line up the 9" side of card stock at 1" and cut from 1.5" down to 7.5". Turn paper to opposite side and do the same. (On the picture I show it lined up at the 1.25" line, which is not correct, it should be at 1" - sorry about that) 1) Place paper in your Scor Pal - as shown in picture. 2) At the 1.5" mark score a line between the cut lines. 3) Move left edge of paper to the 1.5" mark and score between the cut lines at the 4.5" mark. 4) Now move paper back to the left side and at 4.5 score only down to the cut line. Do the same again below the lower cut line. 5) Now score at the 7" mark only to the cut line. Now score at 7" mark below the lower cut line. (these 7" score lines are not shown in the above picture, but they are in the next picture) Now fold as shown in picture... 1) mtn fold 2) valley fold 3) mtn fold 4) valley fold 5) mtn fold 6) valley fold This is how it folds to put in your envelope. Hope you can understand my instructions. If not, let me know and I'll try to help. Thanks for visiting & have fun.

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday!! In 2011, MFT is working harder than ever to inspire you, and we have come up with something we think you'll really enjoy. Our Design Team Creative Challenge is a new monthly feature, where we challenge our design team to explore their creative side using a specific theme, product or technique. This month, we're all making cards featuring Fun Folds! Visit Kim's Blog for a full list of designers that have taken up the challenge! I headed on over to the Resources Section of SCS to pick out a fold for my card today. There are SO many choices, but I finally decided to go with the Folded Paper Frame. SUPER easy to create and I just LOVE the final result! I pulled out the FABULOUS Sew Nifty set from My Favorite Things and stamped the sewing machine in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a piece of patterned paper. All of the patterned paper used on my card is Lost and Found/Union Square from My Minds Eye. I used another pattern to create the Folded Paper Frame for around the focal image. I added a border of another pattern using the Simply Scallops Die-Namics, and I added some lace trim and Charcoal Baker's Twine for a bit of embellishment. Using the Sew Nifty Die-Namics, I die cut the scissors out of Black Licorice Cardstock and hung them off the twine. Love that! Simple black pearls in each corner, and some machine stitching, complete the front. For the inside, I added some more patterned paper, and under the panel for a message, I stamped "You Really Are Sew Special". Some more sewing and the inside is complete. The card base is Fossil Cardstock. Here are the Die-Namics I've used on my card: Thanks SO much for stopping by!! Recipe: Stamps: Sew Nifty from My Favorite Things Paper: Fossil (MFT), Black Licorice (MFT), Choice Buttercream (TE) and Lost & Found/Union Square (My Minds Eye) Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black Accessories: Black Pearls, Lace Trim, Charcoal Baker's Twine, Sew Nifty Die-Namics, Simply Scallops Die-Namics, Sewing Machine and Jody Boosters Jodi

Do you have tons of beautiful designer series paper and need to use it? But get bored with just slapping it on a piece of card stock? I do and I saw this great idea - I can't remember whose video I wanted now and, of course, can't find it But I thought this was a brilliant idea! Isn't that just beautiful? I used the gorgeous new Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper in the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog Such beautiful selections For this card and the "triangle" pieces, I used a piece of designer series paper cut 5"...

Hello friends, Here’s a fancy fold masculine card using the Sailing Home stamp set (#c149457). The cardstock I have used is Whisper White (#106549), Misty Moonlight (#153086) and Seaside Spray (#150889). There is quite a lot of cutting for this card. The base card is the normal size card - 14.9cm x 10.5cm. The Whisper White card at the front is 23cm x 4cm and scored in half (11.5cm) on the long side and 1cm at each end. The middle white layer is 18cm x 7cm and scored in half (9cm) on the long side and 1cm at each end. The back white layer is 12cm x12cm and scored in half (6cm) and 1 cm at each end. The Misty Moonlight card sizes are as follows and 2 required for each size - 3.5cm x 10cm 6.5cm x 7.5cm 11.5cm x 4.5cm 13.9cm x 9.5cm Seaside Spray card sizes as follows and 2 required of each size - 6cm x 7cm 11cm x 4cm 13.4cm x 9cm I stamped the lighthouse and small boat with Misty Moonlight ink (#153118), the larger boats and sentiments with Merry Merlot ink (#147112) and the anchor with Basic Gray ink (#147118). The Seaside Spray cards were all dry embossed with the Seabed 3D Embossing Folder (#152700) and the Misty Moonlight card on the front layer with the Hammered Metal 3D embossing folder (#150646). Each of the stamped images were cut with the Smooth Sailing Dies (#149576). I also cut the wheel from Silver Foil (#132178) and the rope from Copper Foil (#142020) and the seaweed from Misty Moonlight card. The sentiment is from the Many Mates stamp set (#c152633) and cut with the Stitched Rectangles Dies (#151820). I used Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) and Mini Glue Dots (#103683) to attach all the elements to the card. Have a great day. lesleyjendra.stampinup.net [email protected]

Good morning! This is one of the Easter cards we made at Stamp Club last weekend. I’ve seen these crosses all over the internet, but I learned how to make them in the Stamp Club that I belonged to a couple years ago. Here’s a great TUTORIAL on how to fold the circles. (The steps are in a different order than the way I learned to fold the circles, but the end result is the same.) I used a 1-3/4” circle for the bottom of the cross, and 1-1/4” circles for the other 3 parts of the cross. It’s hard to tell in this picture, but the focal piece (Cross and Vanilla CS) has been sprayed with Vanilla Smooch Spritz. It adds a really elegant touch in real life. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for stopping by! Card Recipe: Stamps- none; Paper- Springtime Vintage DSP, Baja Breeze, Always Artichoke, Very Vanilla; Ink- none; Accessories- 1-1/4 Circle Punch, 1-3/4” Circle Punch, Subtles Glimmer Brads, Vanilla Smooch Spritz, Scallop Edge Border Punch, Dimensionals

I have the privilege of being the Guest Designer for Creative Creases Challenge #50! Debbie, congratulations on your 50th challenge! That's quite a milestone! I love fun fold cards and have found lots of lovely card designs and inspiration at the Creative Creases Challenge. If you enjoy making fun fold cards, please share your creations here: https://secretstamper.com/2023/02/anything-goes-with-a-fun-fold-for-creative-creases-50/ The idea for this card design comes from Iced Images on YouTube. You can view the video about this card style here: 6x6 Double Tucked Corner Fold Card - YouTube. I modified the measurements in the video slightly and created a cut file in my Silhouette Design Studio software so that I could cut out multiples quickly. I made several similar cards for the shut ins I send cards to regularly by using the cut file I created for this card. Last fall I become a hobby Stampin' Up! demonstrator under Debbie Mageed, and in January, Debbie generously gifted me my choice of a SU! bundle for being in her downline. I chose the Framed Florets bundle, and since Sale-A-Bration is currently going on, I was able to also receive a free set of gorgeous design papers along with the bundle. (If you are interested in any SU! products, now is a great time to purchase them since you can receive free paper or stamp sets with every $50 you spend. Here's a link to Debbie's blog where you can find more details about Sale-A-Bration: Host Code (stampinup.net)). I mention all this because I decided to use some of the stamps and dies from the beautiful Framed Florets bundle along with some of the lovely Sale-A-Bration design papers for this card. Here's a link to the Framed Florets bundle if you are interested in this beautiful stamp and die set: Framed Florets Stamp & Die Bundle by Stampin’ Up! (stampinup.com) After cutting out the card base and layering pieces, I chose a scripture word art for the focal point. I purchased the word art from the Silhouette Design Store, and since it didn't come with the reference, I added that to the word art and sized it to fit within the frame I wanted to use before doing a print and cut with my Silhouette Cameo 4. With Valentine's Day around the corner, I thought I'd choose a verse about God's love. What a comfort to know the Lord's love never ends! It's infinite! And thankfully it's not dependent on our actions but on who He is! Praise God that we never have to worry that He'll stop loving us no matter what we've done or failed to do. I used several stamps and dies from the Framed Florets bundle to frame up the focal point, stamp and die cut a floral spray to the top right and left inside the card, and frame up and decorate the sentiment on the back of the card. I colored the stamped images with Copic and Chameleon alcohol markers. Final touches were adding 3 adorable puffy heart stickers around the focal point and tiny gems to the stamped flower centers inside and on the back of the card. Front view: Partially unfolded: Completely open: Close up of the verse: Top left: Top right: Back of the card: Close up of the sentiment on the back: Side views: Here's a picture of the Stampin' UP!
