The Northern shore is largely undeveloped (There are a handful of cottages at Western end of the lake.). The old, now abadoned, Port Alberni railway line runs along the North shore and about mid-way down the lake is a gorgeous old railway trestle bridge. The Trestle can be reached either by a trail starting at Cathedral Grove (located at the Western end of Cameron Lake), or from a highway lay-bye located HERE. There are several possible off road campsites along the Northern lake shore.
