A large 3” spine hard cover junk journal with five signatures hand sown. I have purchased the digital material from Several Etsy photographers, printed, assembled and embellished it myself. Printed in the standard 8.5 x 11” format folded, trimmed, inked and folded in half and sewn too the spine with waxed book binding thread protected by a hard cover. It has lots of cards of the Paris Photography that are searchable here on Etsy. There are several sari silk ribboned tags and several pockets for storage of notes and cards. The Journal has 68 pages and measures 22x15x8cm.
In addition to laying claim to the title of France’s first independent bookstore, Librairie Mollat has carved a unique niche on Instagram with its #bookface portraits. The Bordeaux-based bookstore regularly features photographs of book covers held up in front of perfectly scaled, dressed, and nose-shaped people (presumably, some are customers, though some repeated faces seem to indicate a few photogenic employees). You can see more from Mollat—and perhaps even get your next book recommendation—on Instagram. More

Lissy Elle, whose real name is Lissy Laricchia, lives and works in Canada. A young photographer, she has won herself an impressive online following through Flickr among others. Elle says she takes pictures of ‘anything that will stay still long enough.’ Her influences are Las Vegas, Dr. Suess, and Chuck Palahniuk. These co-exist in her playful pictures with themes of childhood, magic, and make-believe. Get Back in Your Book, for example, depicts popular storybook characters escaping the book covers that entrap them. Her work has been featured in Soura Magazine, G/IRL, and Be Magazine.
