Welcome to the new challenge at Retro Rubber, the challenge that lets you bring some love to your older stamps. Our rules are few: use at least one stamp that's older than a year, give us an approximate age for it, and please don't link up to more than ten challenges in total. This week, in addition to using your older stamps, we want you to include stripes on your card. Beautiful Bouquet is a lovely set, full of leaves and blooms of various sorts that you can stamp and die cut into a myriad of combinations. To make it completely fabulous, it's got a whole range of sentiments for all sorts of occasions. This set first appeared in the 2017-18 Annual Catalogue and it still current, so you can still get your hands on it if you like. My stripes are in two places. I've used the Stripes embossing folder in the background and I chose the striped wrapper option for my bouquet. My colour inspiration came from the very pretty combination at Fab Friday. You can still link up with their challenge until 8am on 14 March CST. Update: Very happy to be in the Fab Four at Fab Friday! We'd love to have you join us at Retro Rubber. You can play along with us until March 22. If you live anywhere in New Zealand and don't have a Stampin' Up demonstrator, I'd love to help you with ideas and Stampin' Up products. Please message me through my Facebook page, linked in the sidebar of this blog or leave a comment below. And, of course, you can shop with me from anywhere in New Zealand by clicking any of the products pictured below or the SHOP NOW button in the sidebar of this blog or you can message me. Hi everyone, I am sharing a card I made for the challenge given to us at the recent OnStage event to make a Thank You card using simple stamping that would be ideal for a beginner stamper. We had to use: 1 Stamp Set - Check Ink (I used 3 as no number defined) - Check Note Card - Check Products from the Annual Catalogue only - Check Easy you would think, but I am a girl that likes layers and embellishments, so this was a lot harder than I thought it would be. I decided on the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set as this has a lot of variety in the sentiments and the flowers and stems that can be stamped. I stamped the leaf image using Old Olive ink and then added the flowers using Calypso Coral. I used the stamping off technique for the lighter shaded flowers. What a great way to add contrast in the colours of your flowers using the one ink pad and at the same time showing this easy technique. The accents to the flowers were stamped using Momento Black which I also used for the 'Thank You'. I added some Clear Rhinestones to finish my card as I think a beginner stamper would love to add a bit of bling to their card. I will be sharing a card tomorrow that has this card stepped up slightly which would be great for the occasional stamper. If you live in Australia you can get all the supplies you need for this project from me. You can place an order online or Contact Me and place an order. SHOP WITH ME! Thank you for visiting. Hi everyone, In amongst all the excitement about the release of the new catalogue in June, we were able to see the list of all the products from the current catalogue which will be retiring. This is always a sad moment for me - there are always some of my favourites on the list. And being a business demo, I tend to only craft with current products so often my favourites end up unused and discarded. This time I was dismayed to see that one of my all time favourite stamp sets, along with the coordinating dies was going. The Beautiful Bouquet stamp set and coordinating Bouquet Bunch dies. So I thought I would allow myself to reminisce about some of my favourite projects made with these products. Before I start though, just to let you know, the dies are currently heavily discounted - £11.20 instead of £28.00 - what a bargain! But be aware once they are gone, they will not be restocked. Anyway onto to the projects - in no particular order. This was one of the first projects I made and I still love it. This card uses only the die set - no stamps needed! Wow! Such a fancy fold card for me! A double Z fold!! Love the colours. And another fancy fold! Getting a bit arty on this one. Inspired by a Pin on Pinterest. What I loved best about the stamp set was how it made #simplestamping so easy! And it was great for decorating the inside of cards and envelopes. More #simplestamping. Another one of my favourites. Here I have used one of the sentiments and some die cut foliage. More #simplestamping. Beautiful bouquet of tulips. Stamp set lives up to it's name. And of course the two cards I made most recently. Hope you enjoyed that journey through some previous projects. Have a great day, EDITED AFTER WRITING: I wrote this post a few days ago. Since then it appears the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set has sold out. The dies are still available. If you are wishing you had managed to buy the stamp set, please get in touch - I have a spare set which I will be allowed to sell after June 2nd. Project No. 6 from the JDRF fundraiser day is a pretty card using the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set and the matching Bouquet Bunch Framelits. The colours used on this card are Fresh Fig, Powder Pink, Pear Pizzazz and Whisper White. A strip of Powder Pink DSP from the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack was adhered to the Whisper White card base and then a piece of Whisper White cardstock adhered over this using dimensionals. To create this Whisper White piece I just drew a waved edged freehand and the cut it out. This was then put through the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The large flowers were stamped in full strength and then stamped again 2nd generation to give the lighter colour of Fresh Fig. The small flowers were stamped with Powder Pink with Basic Black flower centres. Pear Pizzazz cardstock was used to make the leaves and the stems in the floral arrangement. The small filler foliage was created using Whisper White. Adhere the arrangement together on the card front and add the wrapper which was stamped in Crumb Cake ink. All these pieces were cut out using the matching Bouquet Bunch Framelits. The sentiment was made using the Label Me Pretty stamp set and the matching Pretty Label Punch. The 'Happy Birthday' sentiment is from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set. To create the Powder Pink mat behind the sentiment, punch out a Powder Pink cardstock piece using the Pretty Label punch. Cut this in half and the adhere behind the Whisper White label, with a small edge showing top an bottom. The measurements to make the card are: Thick Whisper White Card base - A4 cut in half then folded in half Powder Pink DSP - 4cm x 14.3cm Whisper White - 14.8cm x 10.5cm (this is cut down with the wave edge) If you live in Australia you can get all the supplies you need for this project from me. You can place an order online and join in the fun with the On-line Club or Contact Me and place an order. SHOP WITH ME! Thank you for visiting. There’s just something about the color combination of black and white with a lot of white space that screams clean and classic to me. I created today’s card for my OnStage swap with my group of Stamping Sisters. The focal point is of course the pretty bouquet of flowers that were created using the Beautiful Bouquet Bundle. This bundle is packed with pretty floral images along with beautifully scripted sentiments and coordinating framelits…check, check, check!… Continue reading

Beautiful Bouquet is on the retiring list, along with the coordinating Bouquet Bunch dies. 😢 I remember when I first purchased this set and how excited I was to use it. And that excitement has never gone away. Every time I pull out this set/dies, I feel some creative energy. Maybe it's because of the large number of flowers you can stamp/cut out. Maybe it's because your bouquet color palettes are nearly endless. And maybe it's just because I LOVE flowers! Anyway, had to pull this out one more time (although I'm contemplating keeping it for.ev.er.) Can you say gorgeous??? OK, so I didn't mention that I also love purples and yellows together. This card started with the Whisper White Ornate Layers die cut that I had sitting on my desk from another project (it was about to end up in my orphan box, but I decided to use it). Then I wanted to fill it with color, and I perused my stash of Designer Series Papers, settling on Mosaic Mood (also on the retiring list). And that led me to thinking about yellows...and eventually to purples... Wowsers! Lovely! The flowers were stamped using Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather and Daffodil Delight. I cut them with the dies, and then cut some of the background flower bunches with Purple Posy, and some sprigs of white. I'm going to be sorry to see this go, but I know there are lots of lovely flower stamps yet to come. If you would like to get this set, there's still time, but only this month. Hi there everyone, I'm back today with another #simplestamping card made with the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set. This was another design made for the workshop I did a few weeks ago. I used Balmy Blue, Pacific Point and Granny Apple Green. Again a very simple little card, although this time I have added a punched image - the sentiment, which is from the Accented Blooms stamp set, punched out with the Tailored Tag. Of course I made the card in other colours. In Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape and Bermuda Bay: And Flirty Flamingo and Soft Sea Foam: And here they are all together: I've made a quick little video to show you how to make it, if you'd like to have a go!
