When planing a rustic fall wedding it is so easy to get to get overwhelmed and not know exactly what direction to go in. Here are a few fall wedding ideas for a rustic wedding to help you focus your thoughts and start planning a fall wedding that will reflect your style. I know so many brides who start to plan a fall wedding and begin to throw everything fall-like (leaves, apples, pumpkins, harvest colors) into the wedding decor which can start to look cluttered and actually lose some of it beauty. Sometimes the less is more theory works really well for a wedding and I really feel that idea works great for the fall wedding decor. Pick A Great Location We all know that picking a unique wedding location is half the battle in wedding planning. When you are planning a rustic fall wedding I always suggest you look for a place that has both indoor and outdoor options. Fall temperature can swing anywhere between extremely hot and very cold. Barn wedding venues and spots like a vineyard can work for the fall season since most of those venues offer both indoor and outdoor locations. See our complete list of venues on […]

Bleak can be beautiful. You may have noticed a trend emerging in wedding world over the last year or so - and that trend showcases the barren beautifulness of nature. Desolate places, bare and wind stripped, can be places of organic reverie, and today's bridal inspiration draws its musings from the cold, stark coast. Sea and stone is a wistful notion with longing and paired back beauty. Mixed with teal and gold it's simply striking. Words and images by Becca Blevins Photography.

The Great Gatsby is a 1925 novel written by American author F. Scott Fitzgerald that follows a cast of characters living in the fictional town of West Egg on prosperous Long Island in the summer of 1922. Fitzgerald, inspired by the parties he had attended while visiting Long Island's north shore, began planning the novel in 1923 desiring to produce, in his words, "something new — something extraordinary and beautiful and simple and intricately patterned." Since the now release of the film remake by Baz Luhrmann, we again fell in love with all things 1920's. We even went in search for our copy of the F.Scott Fitzgerald novel to soak up the intriguing and powerful story! With this in mind, we decided to schedule a 1920's inspired photo shoot for our other business venture La Belle Vita Photography https://www.facebook.com/pages/La-Belle-Vita-Photography/165361776932899 and we are already in the planning stage to ensure that it will be a stunner! The 1920's themed wedding is an elegant yet daring affair and is a definite to consider when you start making all the wedding plans. You can play with colours, flowers, crystal, pewter and silver, feathers, pearls and garlands and even add your own touch. Anything and everything goes! We love the variety! Your dress can be all lace or satin with beading and glitter and you can round off your look with some elegant yet extravagant make-up, hair pieces and veils. Oh the possibilities are endless and the looks you can create plenty. You can make use of lace gloves, pearls, hats and vintage shoes to compliment your look. This will be a day to remember. For your reception you can use a jazz band to play all the clasics by composers such as Ben Bernie, Jimmie Rodgers, Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong. Your guests will be on their feet all night. As part of this post, we want to share the inspiration and movement with you. Happy planning!
