Today I had a ton of fun making a Books of the Bible Lapbook. Print out all your pieces. Assemble the accordion books. Attach the cover to the front of the lapbook. How it looks when you first open it up. Bible notes on the left hand flap. Bible vocabulary on the right hand flap. The beginning part of the Old Testament books on the first insert. Under the Bible notes tabs. Just a close up of the first set of pockets. The accordion books are folded up. The match book vocabulary can be either written in or pasted in. Turn the first insert page over and here are the remaining pockets etc... for the OT. Then we have a 400 years separation note stuck to the bottom part of the page. Turning to the middle we start the NT pockets. And continue over for the remainder. How it looks when both inserts are open. On the back of the right hand insert. A full listing of the books of the Bible. Yes, so that's it. It is quite a project, and I suggest doing it in small parts as a child learns the Books of the Bible by rote memory. So, if you're interested in this lapbook feel free to download a FREE copy here. Thanks so much for visiting.

This lapbook for Genesis is similar to the Life of Jesus book. You can see it here. *Sorry, this is an old post and the downloads are single downloads. * I print a cut & paste picture that is for each lesson. On the back side of the previous lesson, which is the left side in the book, I glue the lapbook parts. So, for the lesson, the lapbook printables are on the left and a cut & glue picture is on the right. I also used very simple, basic lapbook printables to make it easier for me to cut and assemble, and they are easier for the students to use. You could use the lapbook printables (some or all and others you find) and just make a lapbook with a file folder like the photo of Life of Paul lapbook. You can find it here. Also, you will notice is some of the photos, the printable is for a 3 flap, but I cut one of the flaps off and used it as a 2 and 1 flap. You can do that with a 2 flap also if you want to fit it onto the sides of a file folder. You can print the cover here. The photos show the lapbook printables on the left and the cut & glue worksheet on the right. Here are the lapbook links and click on the underlined words with each lesson listed: 1. Creation one two 2. Adam and Eve one two three 3. Cain and Abel one two 4. Noah one two three 5. Tower of Babel one two 6. Abraham and Sarah one two 7. Isaac and Rebekah one two 8. Jacob and Esau one two 9. Jacob’s Ladder one two three 10. Jacob's Family one two three 11. Joseph's Coat & Sold By His Brothers one two 12. Joseph in Prison and Pharaoh’s Dream one two three four 13. Joseph Reunited With His Family one two three Here are the cut & glue student worksheets. They would be great by themselves for your lesson project if you do not want to the lapbook printables. Some show 2 photos because they are lift-the-flap style and you can see the top when it is finished and what is under the flap. 1. Creation left picture 2. Adam and Eve right picture 3. Cain and Abel both pictures 4. Noah left picture 5. Tower of Babel right picture 6. Abraham and Sarah (I printed on blue paper) left picture 7. Isaac and Rebekah right picture 8. Jacob and Esau both pictures 9. Jacob’s Ladder (I printed on blue paper) left picture 10. Jacob's Family right picture 11. Joseph's Coat & Sold By His Brothers both pictures 12. Joseph in Prison and Pharaoh’s Dream both pictures Butler & Baker with Joseph in Prison Added later are the lapbook printables (right) for the butler and baker while Joseph was in prison. There is one for the butler, one for the baker and one for Joseph with them. I also added a worksheet (left) for the butler and baker. Click here to download. 13. Joseph Reunited With His Family both pictures Thank you for visiting, especially if you are from Free Home School Deals! The printables can be printed for a workbook with the worksheets and a picture to color and a maze or however you can use them. I have another workbook I still call a lapbook, but it has lapbook style questions on the left side, and on the right is a create a picture (I guess you can call it) where the students glue clipart and/or die cuts to design a picture for that days Bible lesson. See photos: I print this booklet and glue to the inside front cover as a review and "Get them thinking" type thing. It can be used if there is a short lesson, and you want to write in it one page at a time. It certainly can be used on its own as a project. For the lapbook, I attached the pages with a brad (or it can be stapled) and glued it to the page. You can print it here, either in color or black & white: color Black/white You can print the Life of Jesus lapbook cover here. Here are the lapbook links, which are with each lesson. Just click on the underlined words. **Sorry, this is an older post so each printable has a different download.** Birth of John Birth of Jesus Baptism of Jesus Jesus is Tempted: Fasting No Satan Disciples: Disciples 1 Disciples 2 The Disciple lapbook has been updated. The pictures have been cleaned up and corrected and the basic look has been updated. The students will lift the flap and write the facts about each person. Click here to download the updated lapbook. They can easily just be a separate worksheet for a take home each week. This is something they do when they first come to class and they wait for everyone to arrive. Back here I posted about how to include a pop up Marian shrine as a notebooking activity. That is great if you already have a notebook or journal started, but here is a way to adapt that activity for a stand alone lesson/project. Starting with a sturdy file folder (I chose a blue one for obvious reasons) you can easily create a Marian Shrine that kids could fold up and take with them. I used the printables from the Marian Notebook Shrine and also the Mini Mary Fact Flipbooks and assembled them following the directions in those posts, except that I just scattered the flipbooks around the pages. This lapbook could be taken into adoration or a prayer time and held on the kids' laps, or it could be set up on a shelf, table, or dresser in their room to create a space of prayer. I also included the Lovely Lady Dressed in Blue poem on the cover. Lots of different things could be added or changed. I think that this would be a great inside project to create this summer! ;)
