Hi Everyone, Every Friday over at the JustRite blog, there is a brand new challenge filled with fun and some delicious surprises. Today, Sharon Harnist has come up with a wonderful sketch challenge for us to play with! Sometimes I am really good about sticking exactly with the sketch, but this time I was a wee bit free in "interpreting" the sketch and so I flipped it around but then I realized that when I went to take a picture of my card I realized that I didn't quite do it right with the little strip on the edge of the card - whoops! But I still like how it turned out so hope its okay :)) I used the gorgeous ornaments from the beautiful Christmas stamp set from JustRite called: Christmas Ornaments 3-1/4" . I stamped the different ornaments and then colored them and then cut it out and glazed it up a bit: Card Ingredients: Paper: My Mind's Eye: So Sophie, Bazzill cardstock Stamps: JustRite stampers: Christmas Ornaments 3 1/4" and sentiment from the All Occasion Nested Sentiments & Verse Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and Ladybug Red Accessories: Adirondack Dimensional Pearls (Lettuce), glaze, corner chomper, EK success scallop punch, felted ribbon, brads, ribbon from stash and dimensionals. The sentiment "Just For You" is from the All Occasion Nested Sentiments & Verse - which is becoming one of my fave go to stamp sets because it has the perfect sentiments for every occasion with such gorgeous fonts! I can't wait to see what everyone has created with this gorgeous sketch over at the JustRite blog! Thanks so much for stopping by today - hope you are having a wonderful Friday! Hugs, Sankari :)

Hi there and welcome to Studio 5380. Happy Friday to you! I found myself with some time to play today (don't ya just love when that happens?). So, I pulled out some cute images from My Favorite Things, some bright, happy Copic Markers, and spent the morning coloring to my heart's content ♥ The background was created with Distress Inks in the following colors: * Twisted Citron * Mowed Lawn * Peacock Feathers * Mermaid Lagoon The images and sentiments are from the following stamp sets by My Favorite Things: * Tweet Friends * I'm Tweet On You * Rainbow Greetings And, here's the inside. I've been slowly adding cards to my Etsy Shop and this one will be listed soon. If you haven't visited my Shop, I would love for you to pop by when you have a chance. You can view my shop by clicking here or the button on my sidebar. Thanks again for stopping by today. Have a wonderful weekend and I'll be seeing you soon!
Happy Saturday! I have a fun, colorful card to share with you this morning!! This card features various washi tapes by Recollections, as well as Lawn Fawn's "Quinn's ABCs" stamp set! I made this previous to receiving my "Quinn's ABCs" dies, but the dies will make this card so easy to create! To make this card, I tore small pieces of various colored washi tapes and placed them on the card. Then I stamped and cut out "thanks" to attach onto of the wahi tapes. This card is also one of the cards featured in my Etsy shop! You should definitely check out the Whimsipost Etsy shop (you can click on the Whimsipost Etsy Shop link at the top of the page to view the available cards!). I am also submitting this card to the current Moxie Fab World challenge - The Washi Tape Challenge! I am always amazed at the different uses for washi tape! Well, thanks for stopping by! The weather this weekend is gorgeous, so I am going to take advantage of that and hang out outside for a while! Enjoy your weekend! :)
I have had a week off work and it has flown by! I have been busy making but unfortunately I can't show you most of them until August! What I can show you is a cake and a card I made for my lovely God-Daughter who was 24 this week. The cake was a Carrot cake... I adapted the recipe and left out the nuts, decorating the top with some golden sugar sprinkles on the cream cheese frosting. Here is the card... Most of the stamps on this scene are from Lavinia Stamps. The cat is so much like one of my god daughter's cats! I created the background with my ink dusters and Distress inks in squeezed lemonade, Dried marigold and Shabby Shutters. I also used memento inks in rose bud, olive grove and tuxedo black. We have a very beautiful kitten who has begun visiting our garden. It has no collar, so no bell, and is stalking the birds. I will have to resort to the squeezy bottle of water soon as I do not feed my birds so they can end up in a cat's stomach, however pretty he is! If you own a cat, please make sure there is a bell on their collar to at least give the birds a fighting chance, especially at this time of year with so many fledglings around. Please excuse me mentioning this, but I put the same effort into looking after my garden birds as many people do into looking after their pets, and I have seen quite a few casualties recently. I will leave you with a photo of one of the Dunnocks that lives in our garden and has been very busy this week, flying backwards and forwards taking food to the nest. Thanks for looking!

We are down to the final days of the the 2018-2019 Annual and 2019 Occasions Catalogs. While I am always excited to have amazing new ink, paper and stamps to play with, it's always hard to say good-by to some of my favorites! Humming Along is one that I am certainly going to miss! I love the images and sentiments in this stamp set! I started out by stamping the beautiful flowers in Smoky Slate. I was going to color each of the flowers, but after coloring the first one, I decided to stop and let the focus be on the humming bird. I love how this turned out! Supplies Used: Paper ~ Balmy Blue, Whisper White Ink ~ Smoky Slate, Memento, Stampin' Blends: Balmy Blue, Old Olive, Mango Melody Stamp Set ~ Humming Along Other Supplies ~ Iridescent Sequins You still have a few more days to purchase this stamp set...and don't forget the coordinating framlits {like I did!}. Have a fantastic Friday! Happy Stamping!
