Situated in Aberdeenshire, and surrounded by nearly 50,000 acres, Balmoral Castle is the private Highlands home of Queen Elizabeth and her family in Scotland. Below are the floor plans of the castle, built in 1856 to the specifications of Prince Albert, who allegedly loved the castle for its reminder of the castles in his native homeland of Germany.

Illustrated map showing many of the beautiful castles of Scotland - nearly 50 beautiful drawings! Perfect for any medieval history buff or lover of Scotland's dramatic heritage. This is a hand signed art print or poster from my original illustrated map. It is available in A4, A3 or A2 sizes, which are standard sizes and easy to mount and frame. There is a white border around the image to allow for the signature. Some photos show how lovely the print will look framed, but please note that the print is sold unframed and without a mount. Prints will be sent by Royal Mail. A4 and A3 prints are presented in a cello bag with a cardboard back for protection or onward delivery. International deliveries may be sent in a tube. A2 prints will be sent via Royal Mail in a tube. Available options: Paper size: A4 (210 x 297mm or 8.3 x 11.7 inches). Paper size: A3 (297 x 420mm or 11.7 x 16.5 inches). Paper size: A2 (420 x 594mm or 16.5 x 23.4 inches). Scotland has an incredible number of castles. Hopefully I have included most of the famous ones - such as Craigievar Castle (the pink one that is said to have influenced the Disney castle), Balmoral (the late Queen's favourite home), Edinburgh Castle, much-photographed Eilean Donan, beautiful Dunrobin, quirky Cawdor (it's got a tree inside it!), dramatic coastal ruin Dunnottar, spooky Glamis, and Urquhart Castle (from which you might catch a glimpse of the Loch Ness Monster - especially if you look closely at this print).
