If you look at this collection of Pablo Picasso's portraits, and compare the first piece to the last, you'll find that the two are strikingly different. But if you then compare Picasso's work from the time he was a young man until the time of his death, some common thread emerges: you can tell the paintings were done by the same man.
"The Riverbank" by French artist Henri Matisse, about 1907. A work of Impressionism, it is also considered Fauvism, an early step leading to abstract art - derived from the French word "fauvre", meaning wild or of vivid colors. This is a giclee print reproduction on fine art paper with archival inks, which produces a museum quality print with vivid colors, crisp detail, and will last indefinitely without yellowing. It conveys a fun and lively mood with it's bright mix of colors and vague shapes. A few close ups are included to show the unique detail, including a young lady wearing a white chapeau, while reading. It could add a creative and colorful touch to many home decor styles. Thanks for looking! (made to order, the print will take 5-7 days to prepare) Giclee Prints - are a bit more costly than regular prints. This is because only premium materials are used, from the printer itself to the types of ink and paper used. Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque created a new style of art called Cubism in the early 1900's. Although it only lasted from 1907-1912, it changed art indefinitely. Picasso's Sunset is a nod to Picasso himself by using Basic Cubism. This piece was a color exploration of shapes, movement, and color through playing with new materials. My challenge was to use more yellow in my paintings as I'm naturally drawn to blues and pinks. It was a moment of shaking things up in the studio. Acrylic Mixed Media on paper 11x14in
