El proyecto, situado en el corazón del pueblo, sobre las laderas aterrazadas repletas de viñedos, incluye no solo la bodega, sino que cuenta con una tienda de vinos y una casa de huéspedes para alojar a los visitantes. Se trata de 3 edificios independientes que se organizan en la parcela dispuestos en forma de U, en torno a un jardín, aprovechando la existencia de una antigua casa solariega.

No están todos los que son, pero sí son todos los que están. Estos son los cuadros que hay que ver antes de morir.
Los parches de acero, las grapas sujetando esos velos de vidrio y sus encuentros son una declaración de guerra. No hay calma, ni nada que se le parezca, en esta obra del noruego Sverre Fehn en el museo Hedmark, en Hamar. Existe una tensión no disimulada en cada rincón. Una tensión áspera entre cada una de las formas proyectadas y cada viejo muro. Existe una tirantez invisible en todas sus escalas posibles. Y sin embargo, esa dureza logra trasmitir algo no conflictivo. Casi pacífico. Como si la obra hubiese restablecido una especie de equilibrio, de reposo. Puede verse así la paradoja a que toda rehabilitación está convocada. Una paradoja que se debate entre congelar un estado de deterioro o restituir una ficción del pasado. Entre esas dos aguas bascula la restauración como disciplina desde Viollet le Duc y William Morris, o desde la llevada a cabo en el Coliseo romano a principios del siglo XIX, primero a manos de Rafael Stern, cuando detuvo la inminente ruina en que se había convertido ese monumento mediante el relleno de ladrillo como un lienzo continuo y sin aparentes matices, y luego por Giuseppe Valadier, cuando restituyó los últimos tramos de arco y propuso una pedagogía de lo que había sido aquella obra en su esplendor. El resultado de la combinación de ambas dificultades puede encontrarse en este proyecto edificado en una colina de Noruega hasta resultar un completo y ejemplar manual de rehabilitación. Cientos de espacios aparecidos en cada esquina ejemplifican esa lucha. Pero en esta imagen se intuye el origen de su tranquilo misterio. La cristalera de ese hueco irregular se despieza, luego se cose, como las grapas de los tambores de las viejas columnas griegas, algo inmaterial se sutura entre la nueva construcción y la vetusta fábrica medieval. La pasarela de hormigón aérea y curva es parte del problema de la partición del vidrio. Las puertas son nuevamente de ese material que nos permite ver pasar los viejos muros y los nuevos a su través. Esos vidrios sin juntas se acoplan, seguramente con problemas. Hasta lo nuevo está en conflicto consigo mismo. Porque el tema de este museo es el compromiso de la materia y no con el tiempo. En realidad y pensándolo bien, tal vez ese sea el problema de toda rehabilitación, que no está en la veneración ciega hacia lo antiguo, sino en una superior y mayúscula devoción hacia la materia y su memoria.
