Victor Petit - Architecture - Middle Ages - Castles **Frame and mat not included** Victor Petit was a 19th century French architect, founder of the Musée de Cluny and a specialist in medieval castles. Between 1854 and 1864, he devoted himself to the writing of several books on the great French castles which he himself designed, from nature. He then directed the transposition of his drawings into precise two-tone lithographs. He later became interested in the spas of southern France and Switzerland. After the historical monuments, it will turn to rural architecture and it will therefore cover all the French architectural achievements. He will end his life on the French Riviera by publishing books on the antiques of Fréjus and an album on Cannes. Monumental work with 10,000 drawings and 2,000 lithographs. We provide high-quality pictures so you can notice each detail of the prints. Please watch them carefully so you won’t miss any potential imperfection.
