She married barrister Sir William Clarke Hall (1867-1932) in 1898. Their sons were Justin James Clarke Hall (1905-1983) and Denis Lucian Clarke Hall (1910-2006). Nellie Stewart (1858-1931) Australian stage actress and singer was born as "Eleanor Stewart Towzey" on 20 November 1858 in Wooloomooloo, Sydney, New South Wales. Her parents were actor and singer Richard (Towsey) Stewart (1826-1902) and opera singer Theodosia Yates (1815-1904). She began her long and productive stage career at about 5 years of age and excelled in comic opera. She went on to tour in Britain, America and India but always returned to her beloved Australia. Nellie Stewart married wool expert, Richard Goldsbrough Row (1860-1914) in 1884 but separated a few weeks afterwards and eventually divorced in 1900. Her long term business and romantic relationship was with theatrical manager George Musgrove (1854-1916). They had one daughter, actress Nancye Doris (Musgrove) Stewart (1893-1973). After her marriage in 1902 to hosiery manufacturer, Laurence Margetson (1875-1928), she retired from the stage. Pauline Lucille Western (1843-1877) American stage actress was born 8 January 1843 in New Orleans, Louisiana to actors George (1821-1857) and Jane Western (1822-1898). Her parents separated sometime before 1850 and her mother then married theater manager, William B. English (1818-1864). Lucille first appeared on the stage aged six with her younger sister Helen Western (1844-1868) aged five in their step-father's theater, The National, Boston. Their quick change and cross dressing act billed them as "The Star Sisters". Both sisters soon became popular young actresses touring successfully throughout the United States. Lucille became well known for emotional performances. Her acting style was said to be, "powerful but eccentric". In 1877 The New York Times described the intensity of her acting, stressing that "in spite of critical disapproval of her methods, realistic almost to brutality, the impression of these performances will not easily be effaced." In 1859 Lucille Western married actor James Harrison Mead (1842-) who became known as Weston Mead after her death. Generous and charitable, Lucille had earned nearly half a million dollars during her career, yet by the time of her death had given or loaned much of her fortune to others. She died of pneumonia in Brooklyn, New York on 11 January 1877 aged 34. She was buried at Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge, Massachusetts. The remains of her little niece, a daughter of the late Helen Western, were also interred with her.

Christine Silver - British Actress born "Christine Isie Silver" on 17 December 1883 in Fulham, London. Her parents were Arthur Silver (1853-1896) and Isabella Charlotte Walenn (1856-1936). Her father was a textile designer and founder of the influential "Silver Studios". She married theatre manager, Walter Hamilton Maxwell (1878-1960) in 1908. They had one daughter Ellen Barbara Maxwell Sturgis (1912-2004). She then married writer, Roland Jocelyn Russell Sturgis (1888-1980) in 1918. Christine Silver made her stage debut in "The New Idol" at the Royalty Theatre, London in 1902. She went on to play the part of "Nibs" in the original stage production of Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie in 1904. She appeared in "Fanny's First Play" by George Bernard Shaw in 1911 and performed the role of "Titania" in "Midsummer Nights Dream" in 1913. She was in the film "The Pleydell Mystery" in 1916 and worked for the London Film Company in the early 1920s. Involvement in other well known productions include the title role in "Tess of the D'urbervilles" by Thomas Hardy in 1926.
