Wow! My 3rd blog hop this week! This time I'm featuring the new Craft-a-Flower Buttercup die from Altenew! (hop details below). I created a negative buttercup by using one of the flower layers and one of the stems and cutting them from a white panel. I’m excited to be a part of the new release from Altenew featuring some beautiful new dies! My card today is featuring the newly released Just Leaves die. This is such a perfect die set to us…
Greetings crafty friends! I am so very excited to be a guest for Altenew’s May Build A Flower release. I am amazed at the beautiful sets they release each and every month! You should have arrived here from Iliana Crouse's blog. I am happy to present four unique cards today all created with the lovely Snapdragon Build A Flower set. The blog begins at The Altenew Card Blog My first card is a shaker card. I used a white card base and inserted a piece of pink cardstock that has the Rustic Linen background stamp embossed in clear for the base. I cut 4 frames out of white Cougar and one of the coordinating pink cardstock. The first step was to create the top frame with tulle between. I wanted to give the top piece enough time to dry. I stamped the Snapdragons using Altenew pink inks (Pink Diamond, Pinkalicious and Rubellite) along with green Firefly and Green Fields ink. I layered them with white cardstock to give them some strength and depth. I layered one frame on the base to defime the shaker area and added foam tape to corral the sequins. I used a few pink sequin and silver stars from my stash. I covered the area with the tulle frame. I cut the happy using the Halftone happy set die. It has 3 layers on it, with the base layer blended with Pinkalicious ink. I used another piece of the dark pink cardstock that was embossed earlier and added the word Birthday on top. The second card layers the snapdragons on an embossed stencil background. The first step was to emboss the Flowing Drops stencil on a piece of Cougar 80 lb paper inspired by Amber of Noteble Ink. I kept the stencil in place and blended Pink Pearl ink on top. I used the layered stamps to create the images using Pink Pearl and Coral Bliss inks along with a pop of lemon yellow. The sentiment is from the set. I traced the largest drop onto Cougar paper, blended in a coordinating color, stamped the sentiment and cut it out. The final step was to mount on an A2 base. I added heavy coral thread and tied a bow prior to placing the sentiment drop that was popped with the foam tape. My third card is watercolored using silver embossing powder to define the floral outline. I was anxious to use my Altenew pan watercolors and this set provided the perfect opportunity! I embossed the lined images onto watercolor paper with silver embossing powder. I then used the oranges an pinks in the pan to color the floral image. I added a blue shadow all around. Once it was dry, I splattered similar colors as well as silver watercolor paint on the entire card. I cut the thanks die from Altenew three times and layered them for depth. I used the same inks to smoosh the top layer. I finished the sentiment with a layer of Nuvo Glaze to add depth and shine. My final card is a fairly simple yet elegant card using one of the blooms popped up on an embossed background. As with the second card, I embossed Cougar paper with the stencil and colored it with Pinkalicious and Pink Diamond inks. I stamped the flower with the same inks. A pink craft foam piece added dimension and depth. I embossed a sentiment from the set on a dark piece of pink cardstock recycled from the shaker card. Here is a close-up of the stencil background. You can return to the start of the blog at Altenew's Card Blog. Shopping: You can find the Altenew Build A Flower Snapdragon. Hello there, today see's the release of the new Glint & Glimmer Collection from Altenew. This release is packed full of lovely new hot foil plates, embossing folders and stencils. Today I have two cards to share with you focusing on two of the new hot foil plates. We are celebrating the release with a fun, inspiration filed blog hop with prizes. Please see below for more details. PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure. My first card uses the new Sparkle Bright stamp, die and hot foil plate. I found it was easier to line up by foiling first and then stamping, so I started off by foiling the Altenew Sparkle Bright Hot Foil Plate on to white cardstock with Spellbinders Rose Gold Foil and the Glimmer Hot Foil System. I then lined up the image from the Altenew Sparkle Bright Stamp Set on top and stamped it with Altenew Obsidian Black Ink. I die cut it using the Altenew Sparkle Bright Die Set. The image is one piece but I thought it would be fun to cut it in to sections and have it cascading from the top of a card base. The pieces were adhered with Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape on to a black A2 card base. I took the sentiment from the Altenew Sentiment Strips Stamp Set and stamped it on to black cardstock with Altenew Embossing Ink. I applied Altenew Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder and heat set. It was then cut in to a banner using the new Altenew Sentiment Banners Cover Die. This also has a coordinating hot foil plate but I just used the die on it's own. It was adhered to the card with more foam tape and then I finished off with a few black pearls. My next card uses the new Gilded Rose plate. This is absolutely stunning and quite large in size so makes a big impact! I first foiled the Altenew Gilded Rose Hot Foil Plate on to white cardstock with Spellbinders Silver Foil and the Glimmer Hot Foil System. I then added ink blending on top. There is a stencil that you can use with the plate too. I blended Altenew Cool Summer Nights Crisp Dye Inks on top using an Altenew Large Ink Blending Tool. I spritzed on Altenew Iridescent Shimmer Ink Spray and let it sit to dry. The panel was cut down at an angle and added to a white A2 card base with Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape. The sentiment, from the Altenew Sentiment Strips Stamp Set was white heat embossed on to black cardstock. It was then cut out again using the Altenew Sentiment Banners Cover Die and added to the card with more foam tape. To finish off, I added a few Altenew Essential Black & White Enamel Dots. Good morning! I'm excited to be part of a blog hop for Altenew's new Whimsical Wonder release, available now! This card was made using the new Meadow Bush Layering stencils set. And watercolours! Here's a quick look at my process: Tips for success: 1) don't have too much water in your brush, or the paint will seep too far under the stencil. A little bit is ok, and it will give you a soft, hand painted look. 2) move quickly from one layer to the next for a soft look while the previous layer is still damp. Let each layer dry completely for a crisper look. 3) double up on the layers (photos 3 and 4) - you can get a more detailed look by painting one colour through the entire hole, and then taking a deeper or different shade and adding it through the same stencil, but with smaller areas 4) adding splatter will distract from any 'flaws'. This process gives lovely soft results, but when I looked too closely, I could see areas I didn't love. I added grey and gold splatter to give the eye more to look at! GIVEAWAY: $300 in total prizes! To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $100 gift certificate to 1 lucky winner and a $25 gift certificate to 8 winners! Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday (again)! I am honored to be a guest designer for Altanew's newest Build a flower stamp set and dies : ...
Hello there, I am delighted to be joining Altenew today to celebrate the release of the new Eclectic Vibes Collection. As the name suggests, there are lots of vintage/retro vibes to this collection. As you know, I love florals, so went with those for my cards but I did sneak in a retro set too but used in a very different way! This post is part of a fun blog hop. More details on the hop below. For my first card, I am using the new Altenew Watercolor Extravaganza Set. This set is a layering set but you could easily get away with just stamping one layer for the images as they have a lovely watercolour look to them. I started off by drawing a rectangle on to a panel of white cardstock with a pencil. I then stamped the flowers on top, having some petals extend outside of the rectangle area. When stamping the flowers, I used the Altenew Rectractable Eraser & Refill Bundle to erase the lines in that area. I used the Altenew Cherry Blossom, Sweet Dreams and Shades of Purple Crisp Dye Inks for the flowers. The centres were stamped with Altenew Golden Sunset and Fall Harvest Crisp Dye Inks and the leaves with Altenew Green Fields Crisp Dye Inks. I then took the Altenew Fine Liner Pen Set and drew over the rectangle lines using them, creating two lines using the 005 and 01 pens. I then erased the pencil with the eraser again. I took the sentiment from the Altenew Sentiment Strips Stamp Set and stamped it on to black cardstock with Versamark Ink. I applied Altenew Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder and heat set. It was then cut out using one of the Altenew Featured Sentiments Dies. To finish off, I added a few Lucy's Bubbles. My next lot of projects use the Gardenia Duo set, which is a layering set as well but for all my samples, I simply used the outline image. For my first card, I started off by stamping the flowers and leaves from the Altenew Gardenia Duo Stamp Set on to white cardstock with black ink. I then coloured the images using Copic Markers and cut them out using the Altenew Gardenia Duo Die Set. I took an A2 white card base and placed the front panel in to the Altenew Deck Planks 3D Embossing Folder and ran it through my die cutting machine. I adhered the leaves and flowers on top with tape runner adhesive. I took the new Altenew Just a Number Die Set and die cut the word from black cardstock (with Altenew Double-Sided Adhesive Sheet on the back) and the shadow from vellum. They were adhered together and then I added tiny pieces of Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape to the back and adhered it to the card. To finish off, I added a few dots from the Altenew Glacier Caves Enamel Dots set. For my next card, I took a panel of white cardstock and stamped the roses and leaves from the Altenew Gardenia Duo Stamp Set on it using Altenew Obsidian Black Ink. I used the Altenew Gardenia Duo Mask Stencil Set so that I could mask off the flowers before stamping the leaves. I masked off the edges of the panel with memo tape and then made extra masks for the images from Altenew Masking Paper. Using an Altenew Ink Blending Tool, I blended on Altenew Glacier Caves Crisp Dye Ink, as well as a little ink from the Shades of Purple set. With the masks still in place, I then stamped the little dot image from the new Altenew Cool Decades Stamp Set for some added interest. I also stamped the sentiment from the set on to black and heat embossed it, cutting it in to a strip. I took the new Altenew Thank You for Being My Friend Die Set and die cut the word from white cardstock and the shadow from black cardstock. The die is actually a lot bigger than this but I cut off the 'thank you' part so that it just said friend. It was adhered to the card with Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape, along with the sentiment strip and the panel added to an A2 white card base with tape runner. My final project for today is a little tag. I started off by die cutting the Altenew Terrific Tag three times - twice from white cardstock and once from vellum. I stamped the flowers and leaves from Altenew Gardenia Duo Stamp Set on to one with black ink and then coloured around the outside with Copic Markers. I adhered the other white tag to the back to finish it off. I took the Altenew Just a Number Stamp Set and stamped one of the quotes from it on to the vellum tag with Versamark Ink. I applied Altenew Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder and heat set. I placed it over the other tag and then tied twine through the top. This way, they are adhered together but more as an overlay so that you can still see the floral tag below. The writing is difficult to see in the photos but much easier in real-life! Hi Everyone! Today I am excited and honoured to take part in Altenew's Blog Hop to celebrate their August release. This post is very picture heavy as I was very inspired by the beautiful products, I couldn't help myself :) If you are taking part in the blog hop, you might have arrived here via Agnieszka Malyszek's Blog. If you would like to hop along with the rest of the participants, you can start at Altenew's Card Blog and I will leave all the blog links at the end of the post. There is a giveaway as well which you can see the details of at the very end of my post! The first cards I made were made using the Smiles and Hugs stamp and Die Set, Geo Frames Die Set, and I've even used a sentiment from Script Words Die 3! You can watch the video on how I made these easy box frame dies here: Here's closer look at the Dahlia flowers from the Smiles and Hugs Set which I coloured using Arteza Brush Markers and stamped with Permanent Black Ink: This is the closeup of the card I made in the video: The next card was made with Hello Gorgeous Stamp Set and Die. The green border was stamped using the Halftone Squares Stamp Set using Frayed Leaf Crisp Dye Ink. I heat embossed the flowers from the set in WOW Gold Rich Pale Embossing Powder and water coloured them! I added splatters with gold and black ink for additional interest. Here's a closer look at the card made using the Hello Gorgeous Stamp and Die Set: This card was also made with the Hello Gorgeous Stamp Set and Die. I stamped and die cut the frame using Geo Frames Stamp and Die: Close up of the heat embossing with the Hello Gorgeous Set and Geo Frames Set: My next card was made using the the Halftone Squares Stamp set again using various Altenew Inks. The "sweet" sentiment is from Script Words Die 3. I stamped out the background first and made an eclipse card using the die! I love how this turned out :) And here's a closer look at how finely detailed this stamp is! Plus I adore that gradient effect: The Inks I used for the above card are in order: Midnight Violet, Heart Beat, Orange Cream, Fresh Lemon, Sweet Leaf, Turquoise, and Lavender Fields. My next card was made using the Mega Greetings 2 Stamp and Die set. I used the Halftone Squares Stamp on the "happy" die cut using Tide Blue Ink. Can you tell that I am in love with the Halftones Squares set, haha?! I used the Halftone Squares Die set to do some dry embossing on the background panel for some subtle texture. Here's a closer look at the dry embossing and stamping. The "happy" was die cut several times and I stacked them up to get that chipboard style dimensional look: My last project was a frame that I made to hang in my home using the Smiles and Hugs Stamp and Die set and I die cut the sentiment from Script Words 3 using gold metallic mirror card! I've made a very short time lapse video on how I assembled the wreath: And here's a closeup of the wreath and you can see the brilliant shine of the metallic die cut Welcome: Thank you so much for taking a peek at my blog and the next stop in your hop is the uber-super-duper talented Erum Tasneem! Happy new year! Today I am back with a fun technique turning stamped flowers from flat to 3d flowers. Hi there crafty friends, Welcome to the Altenew Build-A-Flower: Snapdragon Release Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from Joni Andaya's blog! For today's blog post I've created 2 sets of cards using the gorgeous Build-A-Flower: Snapdragon stamps and dies! Build-A-Flower: Snapdragon & Ink bundle is also available for a discounted price here. On my first cards I stamped the flowers in the background, then I used the Bold Alphabet die set to die cut SMILE and LOVE out from the panel. I die cut these letters 5 more times from color card stock, layered them up and added them back into the panel. I stamped the sentiments in black ink, added gold ink splatters and done. I love this technique so much, not sure who came up with it first, but kudos! I thought I'd go less colorful with my second set, for those of you who might like that better. To create the card on the right, I stamped two flowers on white card stock, then I die cut a circle from it. I added some texture to the negative piece using the Cross Stitch Canvas cover die. I created a shaker window: I adhered some acetate behind the circle cut out, then added two layers of foam tape to the back of this panel. I placed sequins and beads inside and adhered the panel to the card base, which I previously attached the circle with the stamped flowers to. To finish off this card, I splattered some black ink and added a pink bow. For the card on the left I stamped some flowers in various pinks and grays and die cut them. I die cut a white circle also, and stamped my sentiment on it. Using the Cozy Flannel cover die I created a dark gray panel for my white card base. I adhered the circle and added magenta twine around it. I adhered the flowers and finished off this card with sequins and a twine bow. And now the fun part...Giveaways, yay! Read on to find out how you can win! Good Luck! Prizes: 1. To celebrate this release, Altenew is giving away a $30 gift certificate to 6 lucky winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card blog and/or Altenew Scrapbook blog for a chance to win. 2. Altenew will also draw a winner to receive a $15 gift certificate from comments on each designer's blog in the blog hop list. All winners will be announced on the Altenew blogs on 05/10/2019! Your next stop is the Seeka's blog! That's it! I hope you enjoyed my projects and I could inspire you in some small way. Have a fabulous day y'all! X

Hello there and welcome as we celebrate the new Altenew Mighty Kind Stand Alone Dies Collection. This is such a wonderful release and I have two cards to share with you using three new sets. We are celebrating the release with a fun, inspiration filled blog hop with prizes too. More on that below. PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure. My first card uses the new Altenew Lovely Envelope Die Set. This is such a wonderful set as you can create an envelope and then have lots of loveliness popping out from it - flowers, hearts, foliage. I started off by die cutting the envelope from Altenew Sea Shore Gradient Cardstock. I cut the leaves and stems from Altenew Green Meadows Gradient Cardstock and the flower heads from New Purple Gradient Cardstock. I also cut two of the hearts from purple too. I took a 4" x 5.5" white card base and scored lines in to the front using the Altenew Crafter's Essential Bone Folder and score board (sorry they are difficult to see in the photos but do add something in real-life!). I adhered the envelope on top with Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape. I added the leaves and stems inside, followed by the flower heads. The top of the envelope was then added on top (it comes in two parts). The hearts were added and then I took the sentiment from the Altenew Sentiment Strips Stamp Set and stamped it on to black cardstock with Altenew Embossing Ink. I applied Altenew Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder and heat set. It was cut in to a strip and added to the card with more foam tape. To finish off, I added white dots from the Altenew Essential Black & White Enamel Dots pack to the flower centres. For my second card, I started off by die cutting the Altenew Flowing Foliage Die Set from white cardstock with Altenew Double-Sided Adhesive Sheet on the back. I cut each leaf multiple times so that I could stack two high. They were added to an A2 white card base. I then took an Altenew Small Ink Blending Tool and blended Altenew Sweet Dreams Crisp Dye Inks on to the top of the card base. I focused most of the darker colour at the top, fading to white at the bottom. This gave a slight halo effect around the leaves. I then took the Altenew Mighty Alphabet Die Set and die cut the letters for 'hello' five times from white cardstock, again with adhesive sheet on the back. I cut some of the letters down where it overhangs the foliage pieces, so that the letters would end up flush on the card base. I took the sentiment from the Altenew Sentiment Strips 2 Stamp Set and stamped it on to black cardstock with Altenew Embossing Ink. I applied Altenew Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder and heat set. It was cut in to a strip and added to the card with Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape. SUPPLIES: Here are the links to what I have used on the project. Affiliate links are used on some products. This means that if you make a purchase after clicking on my link, I receive a small commission with no extra cost to you. I truly appreciate your support when using these links. Please click on the logo below the product to shop at your favourite store. All products were personally purchased except those from Clearly Besotted, Hero Arts or those marked with an asterisk (*) which were kindly sent to me to use. You can read my full disclosure here. BLOG HOP: As mentioned, this post is part of a fun, inspiration filed blog hop. For the hop, you should have arrived here from the fantastic LauraJane. Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you enjoy the rest of the hop and have a wonderful day!
Hello there, I am delighted to be joining Altenew today to celebrate the release of the new Fresh Start Collection for January 2021. I think a lot of could do with a fresh start about now! The collection is so beautiful! There are lots of stamp sets, dies, stencils and embossing folders out and I am using a few of them on my projects today. More information on the blog hop below :) For my first project, I am using the beautiful new Altenew Airbrushed Flowers Stamp Set. I first stamped the outline image in black ink, followed by the petal layers with the Altenew Sweet Dreams Crisp Dye Ink Mini Cube Set (Dew Drops, Teal Caves, Aqualicious and Galactic Stream). I then stamped the centres using Altenew Fall Harvest Crisp Dye Ink Mini Cube Set (Butternut and Pumpkin Pie). I stamped the leaves using the Altenew Green Fields Crisp Dye Ink Mini Cube Set (Forest Glades and Frayed Leaf). I then die cut them all out using the Altenew Airbrushed Flowers Die Set (which also comes as a bundle or as a bundle with stencils too). I took a panel of white cardstock and ran it through my die cutting machine to emboss the new Altenew Grid Cover Die. It was cut in to a panel and adhered flat on to an A2 white card base with tape runner. The flowers and leaves were then added on top. The leaves with tape runner, the flowers with foam tape. I took the sentiment from the Altenew Airushed Flowers Stamp Set and stamped it on to black cardstock with Versamark Ink. I applied Altenew Crisp White Embossing Powder and heat set. It was cut in to a strip and added to the card with thin foam tape. To finish off, I added a sprinkling of Sparkling Clear Sequins. While stamping the flowers, I accidently didn't stamp the black outline as crisp as I would like it but once all the layers were stamped (as above), I quite liked the look, so I decided to use the extra flower and leaves on a tag. I took the Altenew Holiday Tag Die Set and die cut the tag twice from white cardstock. One layer was run through my die cutting machine to emboss the Altenew Grid Cover Die again (this is beautiful die cut out too but I love the embossed look!) and the other tag adhered to the back. The leaves were adhered with tape runner and the flower with foam tape. I then took the new Altenew Simple Greetings Die Set and die cut the hugs word three times from black cardstock. They were layered one on top of another and then added to the tag. To finish off, I added twine and a mini pin to the top of the tag and sequins around the flower. My next cards use the beautiful Vintage Garden set. I thought it would be nice to use the same image from the set but in two different ways. I started off by stamping the floral image from the Altenew Vintage Garden Stamp Set on to a panel of watercolour paper using Altenew Obsidian Black Ink. I then smooshed Altenew Inks on to a piece of stamp pocket, spritzed them with water and then smooshed it on to to the panel to create an organic watercolour look. I used Altenew Sweet Dreams and Glacier Caves Inks for the flowers and Green Fields for the leaves. The panel was then set aside to dry. Once dry, the panel was adhered on to a black A2 card base with foam tape. I took the thanks die from the Altenew Simple Greetings Die Set and cut it three times from black cardstock. They were layered up one on top of another for dimension and then on to the card. I took the sentiment from the Altenew Enchanted Iris Stamp Set and stamped it on to black cardstock with Versamark Ink. I applied Altenew Crisp White Embossing Powder and heat set. It was cut in to a strip and added to the card with thin foam tape. For my second card using the set, I thought I would simply colour it using Altenew Artist Alcohol Markers but do a little spotlight stamping. I first took an A2 white card base and stamped the image from the set with black ink. I then stamped the same image on to a panel of white cardstock so that when placed on top, the images would line up. The panel was coloured using Altenew Cool Summer Nights, Shades of Purple and Green Fields Artist Alcohol Markers and adhered on top of the card base with foam tape. I used the same sentiments as the first card and adhered them on top with glue and thin foam tape. SUPPLIES: Here are the links to what I have used on the card. The Craft-A-Flower: Buttercup Die Set & Gradient Cardstock Bundle (save 5%): The Craft-A-Flower Monthly Subscription Plan (at a special discounted price): ******************************************** I'm always amazed at how gorgeous Altenew's layering die sets are and this Craft-A-Flower: Buttercup is another awesome set! I love the layers of this sweet flower and the included layering guide makes lining them up a snap! I created my card base first by stenciling Dark Night ink through the Halftone Stencil with a blender brush. Then I trimmed it to 4" x 5-¼". Next I inked up the edges of a top-folding card with Dark Night ink and adhered the stenciled panel to it. I think it's awesome how there's a layering sentiment included in this set! I inked up a piece of scrap card stock with Dark Night ink and die cut the sentiment shadow. I die cut three "thank you" sentiments, adhered them together and attached them to the shadow. To create the flowers I began by die cutting the layers from the lightest cardstock that's in the Summer Afternoon Gradient Cardstock set. Then I used a few yellow alcohol markers to add shading to each layer before adhering them together. I die cut the leaves from a few different green colored card stock in my stash. Then I created my flower arrangement on the card and adhered it with foam tape and liquid glue. I love how this turned out and will definitely be using this beautiful Craft-A-Flower: Buttercup a lot!! Your next stop on the hop is the awesome blog of Ardyth Percy-Robb! If you have any questions at all, please use the contact form at the bottom of the left column. (You can click any product link to be taken directly to Altenew's shop for more details.) Can you believe how beautiful this new Enchanting Vines Botanical 3D Embossing Folder is?!!! I absolutely love it! I paired it with the beautiful new Meadow Bush Layering Stencil Set and the Meadow Bush Die set. Stenciling these flowers with the inks from the Northern Shore Mini Ink cube set was SO fun! I kept the sentiment simple by using one from the Label Love stamp set. My next card features the gorgeous new Marbled Blooms Layering Stamp and Marbled Blooms Die set! I used the pinks and greens in the Spring Bouquet 6 Dye Ink Cube set to stamp the beautiful flower, bud, and leaves. Then I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I added some fun ink spatters to my card front along with a strip of paper from the A Love For Stripes Set A paper pack. Oh my goodness, did I ever have fun with the Geometric Castle 3D embossing folder! I paired it with the new Magical Memories Stamp Set for my whimsical card! After I ran the Geometric Castle embossing folder through my machine, I used a blender brush to swipe on some gray ink to highlight all of the gorgeous details! Then I masked off the castle and stenciled on a rainbow of clouds! I think the rainbow clouds suit this perfectly! I topped off the card by stamping the hot air balloon from the Magical Memories Outline Stamp Set in Versamark onto vellum. I added silver embossing powder and heat set it. Then I used the coordinating Magical Memories Die Set to cut it out. The sentiment is also in the stamp set and I heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Love the whimsical look of this card! My final card features this adorable Tea For Two Outline Stamp Set. I used a portion of an embossed piece to create my "tablecloth"! For the tablecloth, I inked up the recessed side of the Ornamental Feature 3D Embossing Folder with Rouge ink and ran it through my machine. I cut a 5-½" x 1-½" strip for my card and added a thin black card stock strip at the top. (I liked how the ink got a bit blotchy at the edges, do you?) I stamped and white heat embossed the adorable teapot. I stamped the decorative flowers onto the pot with Jet Black ink. Then I used the Tea For Two Simple Coloring Stencil to color it in with Rouge and Blush ink. I also used a few Copic markers to add more shading on the pot: R24, R14, R32, R20. My sister loves tea, so of course, I had to use this sentiment! Shhh, don't tell her I'll send this card to her! I hope you have found some inspiration here for this awesome new release! Thank you for stopping by! Your next stop on the hop is the awesome Jenny Colacicco! Giveaway Prizes $300 in total prizes! Happy March, my friends! It's time to share another exciting Altenew Build-A-Flower with you. We are celebrating this month's Build-A-Flower Semi-Double Chrysanthemum with a blog hop! About Build-A-Flower: Semi-Double Chrysanthemum : This layering stamp set features a beautiful 4-layer chrysanthemum and three 3-layer leaves to add to your handmade cards, scrapbook layouts, bullet journal pages, and other DIY paper crafting projects. The Build-A-Flower: Semi-Double Chrysanthemum special edition stamp and die set is only sold as a bundle. It includes one 6" x 8" clear photopolymer stamp set (16 individual stamp images) and one coordinating die set (4 dies) Please come and join the fun hop for ideas and inspiration. For details about this blog hop, please visit Altenew Card Blog. As always, I amazed at the depth of the stamped images. Inspired by Pantone Color of the Year 2021, I chose yellow and grey for my main color scheme. I used a richer shades of yellow (and a touch of orange) for the Semi-Double Chrysanthemum and the result did not disappoint. Next, I found the new Foiled Marble Washi Tape to be the perfect companion for my stamped images. The luxurious feel of this Washi Tape truly speaks volumes. I hope that you enjoy today's blog hop. It's amazing that each designer comes up with so many varied versions. I think that shows the versatility of the stamp set. Thank you for your support. Giveaway Prizes: $200 in total prizes! Hello Friends!! How have you been? I hope this finds you feeling happy, crafty and celebrating spring or fall depending on where you live. I am popping in
Hello there, I am delighted to be joining Altenew today to celebrate the release of the Majestic Bouquet Stamp Set. This beautiful 8" x 11" stamp set can be purchased on it's own, separately with the die set or as a bundle with the stamp and die set together. The set is huge and packs a real big punch! We are celebrating the release with a fun blog hop. More details on the hop below. The set features two gorgeous layering blooms, as well as leaves. I used each bloom on my separate projects today. For the card, I started off by stamping the outline layers from Altenew Majestic Bouquet Stamp Set on to white cardstock with black ink. I then stamped the layers of the flower using Altenew Glacier Caves Crisp Dye Ink Mini Cube Set. For the inside of the flower, I used Altenew Fall Harvest Crisp Dye Ink Mini Cubes. The leaves were stamped with Altenew Green Meadows Crisp Dye Ink Mini Cubes. I did fussy cut them all out, as I didn't have the dies at the time of making my projects, but there are coordinating dies available. I then took one of the Altenew Terrific Tags Dies and cut it from white cardstock and then ran it through my die cutting machine to emboss the Altenew Grid Cover Panel Die on to it. I tied twine through the top of the tag and adhered it to a blue A2 card base with Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape. I then added the leaves on top with glue and the flower with more foam tape. I took the sentiment from the Altenew Majestic Bouquet Stamp Set and stamped it on to black cardstock with Versamark Ink. I applied Altenew Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder and heat set. It was cut in to a strip and added to the tag with foam tape. To finish off, I added a few Altenew Glacier Caves Enamel Dots around the sentiment. I kept to blues for my flowers today but they do look really pretty mixing and matching different colours as well. If you have followed me for a while, you will know that I love a good coordinating tag! Whilst stamping the images for the card, I also stamped the other flower from the set, as well as more leaves using the same inks. I did the same thing with the tag but this time, I cut an additional tag as well so that I could adhere it to the back of the embossed one. This is so that I can write a message on the back if I want to. The leaves were adhered with glue and the flower with foam tape. I heat embossed another sentiment from the Altenew Majestic Bouquet Stamp Set and added it to the tag. I again finished off with some enamel dots and twine through the top of the tag. Hello there, I am delighted to be joining Altenew today to celebrate the release of the Whimsical Wonder Collection. This is such a wonderful collection that includes stamps, dies, stencils and embossing folders. I have some floral projects to share with you today using some of the new sets. This post is part of a fun blog hop, more details on that below. My first projects use the beautiful new Scalloped Flowers 3D Embossing Folder. I thought I would create a tag and card using the same technique but with different colours. For the card, I started off by taking a panel of white cardstock and blended Altenew Crisp Dye Inks on top with the Altenew Ink Blending Tool. I used Midnight Violet (Shades of Purple set), Rubellite (Cherry Blossom set) and Chamomile (Golden Sunset set). I then ran the panel through my die cutting machine using the Altenew Scalloped Flowers 3D Embossing Folder. I took Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment Ink and using a foam ink blending tool (I wanted something flat), I blended the white ink on to the raised area of the embossing. I then spritzed the panel with Altenew Iridescent Shimmer Ink Spray and set it aside to dry. Once dry, it was simply adhered flat to an A2 white card base with tape runner. I heat embossed the sentiment from the Altenew Sentiment Strips Stamp Set on to black cardstock with Altenew Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder and cut them in to strips. They were added to the card with foam tape. To finish off, I added a few sequins. I loved the look of the embossing on the card so much that I wanted to create a little tag too. I did the same method but this time, I die cut the Altenew Terrific Tags Die first, cut a strip off of it from the left hand side and then blended it with Evergreen, Forest Glades (both from the Green Fields set) and Persian Blue (from the Glacier Caves set) inks. It was run through my die cutting machine with the embossing folder and the white ink applied. I didn't use the shimmer spray on this one. I then die cut another tag and added a strip of the new Altenew Elegant Foil Stripe Washi Tape down the left hand side. I then added a small strip of black cardstock, followed by the embossed tag that I had created. It was finished off with a heat embossed sentiment (from the Sentiment Strips set) and enamel dots from the Altenew Our Family Enamel Dots Set. My next projects use the new Bouquet Of Love set. This is such a pretty set that can be used in lots of different ways but I went very simple on my projects and simply used the outline to heat emboss. For the card, I started off by taking a panel of white cardstock and stamping the large image from the Altenew Bouquet Of Love Stamp Set on top with Versamark Ink. I then applied Altenew Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder and heat set. Using Altenew Ink Blending Tools, I blended on Altenew Sugarplums and Tranquility Crisp Dye Inks. I then spritzed the panel with Altenew Iridescent Shimmer Ink Spray. The panel was adhered flat to an A2 white card base. I then stamped the sentiment from the set on to black cardstock with Versamark Ink and heat embossed it. It was cut in to a strip and added to the card with foam tape. To finish off, I added a few sequins. Again, I thought that I would create a tag with this set too. I first die cut an Altenew Terrific Tag Die from white cardstock and blended over the same inks that I used on the card. I spritzed it with the shimmer spray and set it aside to dry. Whilst it was drying, I stamped the Altenew Bouquet Of Love Stamp Set on to a panel of vellum and heat embossed. I added Altenew Double Sided Adhesive Sheet to the back and then cut out using the Altenew Bouquet of Love Dies. It was adhered on to the tag and I cut around the edges with scissors. A sentiment from the set was heat embossed on to black cardstock and adhered with foam tape. I added twine through the top of the tag and embellished with sequins. For my last project today I am using two new sets - Marbled Blooms and Tie Dye Motifs. I started off by stamping the Altenew Marbled Blooms Stamp Set flowers and leaves on to white cardstock with Altenew Crisp Dye Inks. I used Cherry Blossom and Golden Sunset for the flower and Green Meadows for the leaves. They were then die cut out using the Altenew Marbled Blooms Dies. I then took a mini slimline card base (6.5" x 3.15") and stamped the lines from the Altenew Tie Dye Motifs Stamp Set on top using Altenew Obsidian Black Ink. I then stamped the sentiment from the Altenew Bouquet Of Love Stamp Set. The flower and leaves were adhered on top. The leaves with tape runner and the flower with foam tape. It was finished off by adding a few Lucy's Ice Cube Jewels. SUPPLIES: Here are the links to what I have used on the project. Affiliate links are used on some products. Hello there, I am delighted to be joining Altenew today to celebrate their 7th Anniversary. There is a fun 4 day blog hop going on, filled with inspiration and prizes and today is day 3. Please see below for more information on the hop and giveaway. For my card today, I wanted to create a Mother's Day for my mum. I had been wanting to use the Spring Roses Die Set for some time and I thought this was the perfect opportunity! I started off by adding Altenew Double Sided Adhesive Sheet on to the back of sheets of white cardstock. I then ran them through my die cutting machine, die cutting two of the Altenew Spring Roses Die Set Dies. I die cut each flower three times so that I could layer them up. On one set, I added ink blending using Altenew Small Ink Blending Tools. I used inks from the Altenew Sugarplums, Tranquility, Shades of Purple and Green Meadows Crisp Dye Ink Cube Sets. I then spritzed them using Altenew Iridescent Shimmer Ink Spray. The white cardstock layers were adhered to a panel of white cardstock and then the inked one added on top. I also inlaid the flower pieces but left the leaves with the outlines only. This panel was then adhered to an A2 white card base with foam tape. I took the Altenew Fine Alphabet Dies and die cut them twice from black cardstock and once from black glitter cardstock. They were layered up one on top of another using liquid glue and added to the card with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment from the Altenew Sentiment Strips 2 Stamp Set on to black cardstock with Versamark Ink. I applied Altenew Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder, heat set and cut it in to a strip. This was also added to the card with foam tape. To finish off, I added a few Lucy's Bubbles. SUPPLIES: Here are the links to what I have used on the project.
