FUN and EASY Nicho Project! This project is a great and different idea that can be implemented for all levels. The project includes: 1. Printable 3D template for students to create their 3D Nicho. 2. A video tutorial on how to put it together. 3. Written instructions on how to put together the shadowbox. 4. A word editable document that can be used as a writing prompt for spanish 1, 2, 3+ about the person represented in their nicho. These prompts include present tense descriptions for levels 1-2 and preterite vs imperfect for levels 3 and up. The students will need the template printed out and 2-4 small pieces of tape, glue sticks, scissors, a picture of a family member, colors, crayons, color pencils and any other decorating supplies. I like to create this project every year with my students because it is different than any other projects I have done before. It is also meaningful because they get to put a special person in the classroom or the school ofrenda. I like to put all the nichos in a large kraft piece of paper and I hang it above my ofrenda. The written component can also be done in a construction piece of paper where the students can glue the nicho. NOTE: Rubric not included Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
