Set over two floors the renovation included a newly installed staircase, kitchen and two bathrooms along with the new joinery throughout. Zellige, signifie « petite pierre polie » en arabe et désigne par extension tous les carrelages. Mais par méconnaissance du mot, nous en avons réduit son utilisation au petit carreau de la région de Fès. Premièrement, les carreaux zellige et Bejmat sont façonnés à la main, ensuite l’argile cuite -ou Bejmats- est émaillée, enfin, elle est coupée dans une infinité de forme et de tailles de carreaux. Les caractéristiques qui en sortent sont la richesse et la variabilité de ses couleurs.
