This study for Acts is by the chapter, instead of by the people or events. Each chapter will have an in-depth lesson, new worksheets, etc. Here are a couple of printables that can be used with this series or on their own. They were designed to be simple and easy on the printer ink. These are not included in the lesson and application packs. Most of these are full page resources that are perfect for notebooks; but you can print two per page on your printer settings to create half pages which are great for interactive notebooks. Click here to see more about interactive notebooks and how to design them. Updated Anchor Charts for each chapter. Updated worksheets with key pictures and a space to write main points for each event. Updated Snapshot worksheets with pictures for each chapter and a space to write notes. There is a set of alphabet code worksheets in each application pack. One worksheet uses symbols. The student will use the first letter of the picture to figure out the code. The codes are a paraphrased verse from the chapter being studied. They are paraphrased due to space on the worksheet and there some chapters have more than one included. Another worksheet has a number, and the student will locate it on the chart at the top of the worksheet and write the corresponding letter in the space to complete the coded worksheet. This chart can be saved as a reference and is not included in the application pack. The answer for each code worksheet is on the last page with the copyright information. Note: Although there are not any direct quotes from these reference books, they were used to clarify some of my questions. And these are great books to have and use! Acts 3 Acts 3:16, Faith in His Name Today we are in Acts Chapter 3 with Good Morning Girls! I did my overall chapter doodle and then zeroed in on verse 16. God has shared with us, His many and varied names. Each name gives us a glimpse into His true nature. Names such as, The Good Shepherd, Creator God, God Almighty, Lord of Hosts and I Am. The list goes on and on. But what a precious name is Jesus! Savior! It is faith in His name, the One who willingly died on the cross to wash us of our sins, and pay the debt we could never pay, that shows us what true love is. It is faith in the name of the One who then rose 3 days later, that shows us what it means to live in hope. It is in His name and under His authority that we can now have a relationship with our Father. And it is faith in the name of Jesus that allows me to surrender to Him, and take up my cross and joyfully follow wherever He will take me :) Click below for free PDF versions of the doodle for Acts 3, including a coloring page and also PNG elements file: Acts 3 Full Color (PDF) Acts 3 Coloring Page (PDF) Acts 3:16 Full Color Bible Journaling page (PDF) PNG elements file (Includes all the PDF downloads)
Today we are studying Acts 24, following along with the Good Morning Girls reading plan. I read the claims that they were making against Paul and just find it shocking the irrational hatred directed at him for the message he was speaking. Since when is being a "pest" worthy of wanting someone dead? I also found it really interesting that Paul clearly lived his life differently and it caused people to notice. Felix the Governor kept coming back to speak with him as he kept him in custody for 2 years. It says in the text that the things Paul said made him uncomfortable, yet he kept being drawn back to speak with him. And the most important thing, even when people were trying to kill him, even when he was clearly making people uncomfortable, even though he was kept in custody for over two years he still kept speaking the truth :) Click below for free versions of this doodle: Full Color (PDF) Coloring Page (PDF) PNG Elements (Includes the two elements shown below and the two PDF files listed above)
