The more I play with the Timeless Tropical stamp set, the more I like it. I love the 50's-Hawaiian -surfer vibe it has. The co-ordinating products are lots of fun too. The Coastal Weave embossing folder is getting a lot of use, and I love the Braided Burlap Trim too. I used Pool Party for my background panel, and coloured the hibiscus and frangipanis with Blends. Hi everyone. Happy Sunday... again :-) I promise this is the last post for today. I played along with two challenges for this card Freshly Made - Sketch and the inspiration photo from Just Add Ink: Looking at the photo inspiration, it was a no-brainer that I was going to ink up the trees on my Timeless Tropical set. :-) I inked up the trees, but couldn't help adding a little extra depth with my pencils. I used my pencils in the middle of the palm trees and all the way down the trunks of them. I also used my...

Aloha! The Stamp Review Crew are hopping and we are sharing lots of gorgeous projects featuring the "Timeless Tropical" bundle...I love the images in this set and being a fan of all things tropical and missing the sunshine, l really enjoyed revisiting this set. Happy weekend! This has to be my fav new stamp set in our new catalog. I can't wait to play with it a bit more, but for mean time here is a quick card you can make by folding your card in half and using black ink stamp the plumeria flower down the side of the card. Using your scissors but away the flower. Here is the Timeless Tropical Stamp set The ink colors I used were Pear Pizzazz and Calypso Coral. I water colored the colors in with the Aqua Painter. I seriously am in LOVE with this set, so stay tuned for a post overload! I had to share the sunset the other night, this is with no filter..... Lavender and purple sky, it was so gorgeous! I have never seen the sky this color before, it was such a treat~

SUUUUUPER exciting news! For tomorrow only (Dec. 11th) Stampin' Up is offering free shipping on all orders of $50 or more (pre-tax/shipping)! They rarely do this, so NOW is the time to get those items on your wish list, or to stock up on essentials like cardstock, adhesive, ink refills, etc. Or, perhaps something from the YEAR END CLOSEOUT before it's gone! Either way, don't miss out on this savings opportunity, and if your under is under $150, I'd be ever so grateful if you use the Host Code BUUDM6H9 when prompted. Now on to my card: Timeless Tropical is one of the new cling stamp sets that will be available starting January 3rd in the Jan-Jun Mini Catalog (formerly know as Occasions Catalog). It has coordinating In The Tropics Dies, which I didn't have when I made this card, so I fussy-cut the blooms. I have those dies now! I stamped the greeting and leaves on the background and embossed with the Subtle folder. It was then layered on a Garden Green mat and adhered to the card base. The Plumeria bloom was glued to the card front, and the Hibiscus was popped up on dimensionals.

I was waylaid from sharing the other Timeless Tropical bundle cards but here they are now. Both cards are adapted using mostly the same elements from my original class card you'll find here. You'll see all the cards together at the end of this post too. Version 1 is a remix of the original class kit, with the frangipani taking over from the hibiscus in the original. Still loving that amazing bird of paradise paper print too. The frangipani's are stamped in Saddle Brown Staz On ink and coloured with a little watercolour pencil blended out with an Aqua Painter. The sentiment in Soft Suede ink which was stamped off once. Inside is super simple - coordinating sentiment (Soft Suede not stamped off - oops) and another frangipani. I'm so glad I can stamp as many of them as I like, as I'm not very good at keeping the real ones alive. Version 2 - I mixed it up with a print from the Birthday Bonanza paper pack - yes the cute pack with koalas & lions & birds! - plus a Crumb Cake panel embossed with the Coastal Weave 3d embossing folder. Sadly this one's not carrying over to the new catalogue so get it now. I created a cluster of hibiscus & frangipani using the same pieces as the class version, and added some greenery using the top of the pineapple die in the bundle. I had one more coloured hibiscus so I added that inside. So that's the full set of themed cards shared using the Timeless Tropical Bundle and Tropical Oasis suite. Here they all are together. Hello there and welcome to 2020 on the blog! The Just Add Ink team are kicking off the new year with our annual blog hop. It is extra special this year as we are celebrating 10 years and 1000 followers for the Just Add Ink challenges! You may have come from Denita's blog, be starting the blog hop here on my blog, or you can go to Just Add Ink, and then follow the links at the end of each team members blog post on to the next. This year the theme is very appropriately 'Celebrate!'. So many joyful occasions can fall under that theme. For me the first big family event of the year is my daughters birthday, so birthday card it is. I had a blogging break at the end of the last year, and was a bit worried I might be rusty, but the sheer enjoyment of playing with new stuff (TimelessTropical in particular, which ironically was not my first pick from the new SU! mini catalogue) and colouring made putting this card together easier than expected. It really is all about the colouring! I stamped my images in a very light ink and then used SU! Blends (alcohol markers) to no line colour the flowers. I should really have taken step-by-step photos as for most of the process honestly they look pretty ordinary and then at the end the multiple layers of ink, blend and end up looking finished. So my best tip for alcohol marker colouring is to persist and keep adding layers of colour and contrast. Jan McQueen is next on the blog hop, so please go on and check out her fantastic project, and then to the rest of the team. Then come back and join in the challenge we'd love to see your 'Celebrate' project. Hi! Welcome to the Art With Heart Stampin’ Up! Team Monthly Creative Showcase. The theme for this month’s showcase is Mother’s Day. Under the current conditions Mother’s Day this year is going to be completely different to any other Mother’s Day celebrations. I'm not sure yet how we will celebrate! My mum lives in a different state and my MIL lives in a little town nearly an hour away from us. I see several FaceTime calls on the horizon for Mother's Day! I guess a mother's job is to keep her family safe and healthy, so we will do that by staying in our little household bubble. The Art With Heart Team are hoping to share a little Mother’s Day love and inspiration with you tonight. My Mother-In-Law loves her cruising - although that might change! When I thought of what card I could make for. her, I decide to go with a tropical theme to fit with the cruises she's taken recently. I started by stamping a heap of images from Timeless Tropical in Memento ink. I then coloured them using my Watercolour Pencils, blending with my old favourite, Wink Of Stella. The piece they are layered on comes from the temporarily retired Nature's Thoughts Dies. I sponged the top half with Pool Party ink, and the bottom half with So Saffron, hoping it would look like sand and sky. I googled frangipanis to see what colours to use, and I found a gorgeous variety called Darwin Monsoon. They are tricolour, so I used Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight to colour the blooms. I layered a couple of ribbons under the sentiment, which is a shortened image from the Beautiful Day stamp set. I didn't have any Rich Razzleberry ribbon, so I coloured a length of Whisper White Seam Binding with my Dark Rich Razzleberry Blend. I used the same DSP from the front on the inside. Both pieces of Tropical Oasis DSP have been dry embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder. The inside sentiment is from Timeless Tulips. I hope my MIL likes her tropical Mother's Day card, even though she won't be going on any tropical cruises for a very ling time! That's all from me tonight, now you're off to see the wonderful creations of the lovely Rebecca Jacovou. Bye for now, Tina If you have a broken link or have come to this blog hop midway, you can view all the participants below: Rebecca Jacovou Vicki Boucher Rachel Woollard Sharon Davern Catherine Proctor Kate Morgan Andrea Sargent Kathryn Mangelsdorf Rachel Palmieri Caroline Manwaring Michele Taylor Tina Gillespie
