Hi everyone, I am so glad I got a few minutes left in today to blog and share a little cute card with you. I had to make some cards and quick today. Now whenever I am strapped for time which is let's face it, nearly every time I make a card, I tend to look for something cute to case and today was no different, only in that I cased myself !!!! I made this beauty while away last November to fabulous Cuba and while I loved it, I wasn't quite happy with the sentiment placement which was a result of a poorly positioned stamped elements, basically I didn't have room to add the sentiment between the stamped lace and stamped bee. So I thought I would re hash that card at home with all my supplies on hand and this is what the second lot turned out like. This time I added more layers behind the centre panel and popped the bees up onto some dimensionals. This gorgeous bee is from the stamp set Dragonfly Dreams If you are a long time visitor of my blog you will know that I have a sweet friend, Carol who helps me stamp when I have tons to make. Well recently she was laid in hospital with a nasty infection but wanted to do something with her time and was limited as to what she could do. I stamped and coloured quite a few bees and she kindly cut them all out for me... thanks Carol <3 p=""> I love the FREE Delicate Details stamp set and used it as a background you can just see it peeking out here... And of course the wings and lace got some glitter treatment, simply dab some glue on the pieces and sprinkle with some dazzling diamonds... love the bling I do !!!! I will bid you farewell now and go and make some tea for the builders, they are working hard and we are making progress. Last time I updated you there were no floors and no ceiling in there. Well, by Tuesday we had firm floors once again, all electrics and plumbing were in and ready.... then at the end of today we even have some ceiling IN. We had a couple of set backs, the new roof had a few leaks which have now been dealt with so by tomorrow we should have a full ceiling ready for the spotlights to be fitted. Exciting stuff but so time consuming, I didn't realise I would have so many decssions to make I thought all I had to do is organise my craft stuff *laughing hard* ready to move in there. Thank you for your visit, I will see you again on Friday with a Fun Fold Blog Hop. Till then much love xoxoxo Monica

Happy Friday! Today I'm sharing one of the quick and easy cards we made at the Stamp-a-Stack last Sunday. I CASEd the idea from Mary Fish over at www.stampinpretty.com when she did a similar card using the butterfly thinlits. Check it out ... I just finished putting 10 of these together last night, with the leftovers from Sunday. Seriously. So quick! Standard card base of 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" Top Whisper White layer of 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" Sweet Sugarplum Layer of 3 1/2" plus two ticks x 4 3/4" plus two ticks :) Any DSP of your choice cut 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" - I used patterns from the Falling in Love pack Step 1: Run the top Whisper White layer through the Big Shot using the Dragonfly Dreams thinlits. I used the magnetic plate plus the precision plate for this cut but be warned - you aren't SUPPOSE to use the magnetic plate with the precision plate. Why? The pressure is a little too much for the clear cutting plate and it warps it quite badly. Why do I use it? This one particular die just needs the extra pressure to cult all the way through. With other plate combinations I need to keep adding card stock shims underneath and … well … it's just a pain … so I sacrifice a clear plate and if it warps it warps. It's ok … I can buy another one *lol* Step 2: Stamp your sentiment using Rich Razzleberry ink - I used the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Rose Wonder set Step 3: Tape the DSP square to the back of the white base - TIP - apply the tape to the back of the white layer, not to the DSP … I can pretty much guarantee if you put the tape on the DSP you'll end up with tape showing through the hole you just cut! Step 4: Use your bone folder to curl the dragonfly wings up. You have the wing between your thumb and the bone folder … like the old days when we used to curl ribbon with our scissors … Step 5: Use a small piece of foam strip on the dragonfly torso and attach it to the DSP Step 6: Attach the white layer to the Sweet Sugarplum layer with dimensionals Step 7: Attach the Sweet Sugarplum layer to the white base using snail adhesive. Step 8: Attach some rhinestones to finish it off Done! LOVE how quick it comes together. This is a great card for most occasions making it a great one for a Stamp-a-Stack! OK … guess I should run. I'm in the middle of figuring out a new videoconferencing system (called Zoom) so my long distance downline members can join me virtually for my Breakfast Stamping Spectacular Feb 25th. Wanna join us? Canadian crafters who buy the Starter Kit through my by Feb 24th and you can! Message for more info. Enjoy your Friday - I hope it's a stampy one! Tam

I used the Stampin’ Up! Dragonfly Dreams stamp set to create a clean and simple card to share today.
I was designing a card for my Team Swap a few weeks ago and decided to use the Dragonfly Dreams and Inside the Lines Designer paper. I thought they went beautifully together. Dragonfly Dreams is a beautiful new stamp and dies bundle in the Occasions catalog. It was among my top 5 picks! The Inside the Lines designer paper is from our Sale-a-Bration catalog; it's one of the free choices you can get with a $50 order. It's meant for...
Stamps, paper and ink… that’s what stamping is all about… and this card illustrates that perfectly. Last week, I attended Stampin’ Up!’s “On Stage” semi-annual event. I am a absolutely LOVING this new Glimmer Paper Assortment Pack in the Sale-A-Bration special!!! The Bermuda Bay, Mint Macaron, and Sweet Sugarplum colors are SO yummy in the Glimmer paper!! I KNOW I will be needing another pack of this VERY soon! lol This card took NO time at all to put together. I love the simplicity of it, yet it is just gorgeous. I used the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits and Dragonfly Dreams stamp set along with coordinating ribbons and inks. For the top card, because I don't have any Bermuda Bay ink YET, I used Basic Black CS to back the wings and Basic Black ink for the sentiment. Not quite sure which card I love the most!! If you love this video tutorial, make sure to "subscribe" to my YouTube channel to receive notifications when I post new videos!! In addition to the video tutorial I made, I also have printable/downloadable instructions below the Supplies Used. Just click on the "Supply List" to download and print. Recently, someone on my team promoted so I wanted to make her a special card and box to hold a small gift. I found a tutorial from Linda Parker, using the Envelope Punch Board to make a two piece box and the delicate details dies. I was super happy with the results, and my teammate loved it too. We'll be making the set in my Stampin' Fun Class for Gift Giving on April 9. Here are a few more pics for you to enjoy. And a coordinating card. The dragonfly also makes some great cards! My drawing will be held on Tuesday 4/11 and announced on Wednesday 4/12 so be sure you subscribe by then. I'll announce on a blog post the winner and mail your blog candy out right away! We made this card at last month's Card Club and they loved it! I absolutely love this fun fold! I cased my friend Susie Wood; like I've said before she is a genius at fun folds. We frequently 'stamp' together even though she lives in Iowa and I'm in North Dakota. We send each other photos of our projects, asking and receiving help with the final touch on some of them. Sure wish we lived closer! I used the Dragonfly...
