Our large wooden phase 2 phonics tiles are the perfect resource to use with children to help them learn the sounds in phonics. Our phase 2 set include all the sounds that children are taught in phase 2 of the Letters and Sounds document. Ideally suited to be used in school, for home education or to reinforce phonics learning at home. Our phonics tiles are great for word building and for spelling. We have designed our phonics tiles in a hexagon shape to introduce an additional learning aspect as children can connect the tiles together in different patterns. The opportunities for learning with our wooden phonics tiles are endless. The wooden grooves of each letter allow children to trace the letter and become familiar with not only the letter name and sound but how to form the letter also. They can be filled with different sensory resources like play dough or seeds, used for crayon rubbings and can be free standing to create and build simple CVC words.Our tiles are a great size for children to handle and use. A set includes 23 sounds from the phase 2 Letter and Sounds document. Our phonics tiles have just the lowercase letter and are single sided. Each set comes with a wooden tracing stick which your child can use to trace each letter and develop their pencil grip. Handmade Our phonics tiles come in school font and are made from solid beech wood and finished with a natural raw oil.
