Does the patina on this truck leave you feeling confused? Don’t be, because everything about this truck is just plain awesome! This ‘56 Ford F100, known as “Effin Confused”, was built by Nebraska’s Dynamic Rides Rods & Customs. It’s powered by a Ford Racing 427 small block mated to a Bowler Performance Transmissions 4R70W trans. It rides on a full No Limit Engineering Big 10 chassis, RideTech coilovers, Wilwood Disc Brakes, and Toyo Tires R888s (265/30ZR19 and 315/30ZR20) on 19x9.5 & 20x11.5 Forgeline RB3C wheels finished with Matte Bronze centers and Polished outers.
When Mark Gruss sat down with the father-son hot rod build team of Danny and Doug LaRue to outline a plan for his 1956 Chevy truck project, he explained that he wanted Lexus quality throughout. The truck had to drive smooth, handle like a new car, be comfortable, and of course it had to look cool.
