My goal was to create a cute critter with carefully designed articulations that will pose nicely, wiggle just right, and put smiles on peoples faces. Print it in different sizes, colors, or create unique paint jobs to make your own unique Axolotl family! Here is a quick video showing the easiest method for removing the Head Pre-Supports and Snap-Fitting the Head onto the Body: https://youtu.be/756NelvqtCk PLEASE READ: All MatMire_Makes Designs are protected under Copyright Law. Your purchase gives you the right to download and print the design for your personal use. You do NOT have permission to resell or redistribute those digital files in ANY way. It was not designed for Resin printing, and I cannot guarantee good/functional results. Resin print at your own risk. Includes 5 STL files: *Recommended: - Head with Full Pre-Supports: Easily Snap-Fit to Body. Built-in removable supports. No need to generate supports in the slicer! - Body with Pre-Supported Tail & Custom Brims: Built-in removable brims, and supports on the tail for extra security *Extras: - Head no pre-supports: Easily Snap-Fit to Body, Requires Supports (set supports to touching buildplate only) - Head with Ball joint Pre-supported. Only the ball joint section is pre-supported. You will need to generate supports for the rest of the head (set supports to touching buildplate only) - Body with Custom Brims: Print-in-Place, Brim geo is built in so no need to generate one. - Body: Print-In-Place, No Supports - aside from a brim/raft for bed adhesion, if needed. Use one of the above versions if having adhesion issues. 15-20% Infill. 3 Walls. Though I highly recommend using the pre-supported files, and not generating supports in the slicer, some people may prefer to. For a demonstration of how I use Cura's support blockers to print the Head and Body at the same time, please check out this video. It's super easy! https://tinyurl.com/mr3zkyue Scale to your liking! 100% creates a 10" Axolotl, so that will make it easy to scale it to your desired size. (80% = 8", 75% = 7.5", etc.) Depending on your printer tolerances, you should be able to print close to 65-70% before the joint function may start to become compromised. YMMV Attention: Not suitable for unsupervised play by small children or pets, as small parts can pose a choking hazard if broken off due to rough play. Not recommended for children under 3.
