We bought a 1930’s house aka ‘Rat House’
Honing the skills of our onsite seamstresses, we wanted to bring you something out of the ordinary. This is a showstopper blouse stacked with authentic details inspired by original patterns. A labour of love, our 'Iris' was a long time in design and in ongoing production - but we believe its more than worth it. Our most detailed, time consuming blouse to date - this truly is an item to be treasured and specifically aimed at quality and detail seekers. The Iris blouse is inspired by the popular bohemian and peasant styles favoured in the late 1930s and revived again in the 1970s. A timeless gem - can be worn vintage paired with pleated shorts, swing trousers or even crossed through to modern looks. Designed to be oversize, wear loose, tucked in or belted. Details include drop yoke with pleats in the back and 3 pin tucks at each shoulder. Jewel neckline is finished with ties which can be worn open or closed to create keyhole. The voluminous sleeves pleat from drop shoulder and finish with a deep stretch shirred/smocked cuff. Produced in our signature viscose crepe which gives the garment extra vintage feel and drape.
